I think GG is one that if you didn't watch it when you were young and when it was on, you won't like it. I think you might be right. It holds such nostalgia for me. Same. I watched it growing up. And then in college with my room mates. Now I cringe at some of it but I still love it.

How obnoxious cagoldi . I'm sorry. Feel free to ignore this question, but is P footing the bill for your lawyer as well as his, or are y'all paying separately? B/c I imagine every time yours has to fire off another letter, file with the court, etc., it's more billable hours, yes? I mean, *someone* is paying for that.

This week will be SIX MONTHS since he was served (he picked up the paperwork 11/1). And he had more time than that, actually, because I told him what he would need to gather up for documentation when I was doing my disclosures in September.

B/c I imagine every time yours has to fire off another letter, file with the court, etc., it's more billable hours, yes? I mean, *someone* is paying for that. Sort of. By that I mean, as soon as I became pregnant with P, I knew that was it. We were most likely not going to make it. I was sure divorce was in our future. I hoped I was wrong, but in case I wasn’t, I enrolled in our legal insurance plan when open enrollment came around specifically because I knew it covered divorce for the first twenty hours. So, yes, it’s time she has to bill, but at the moment it isn’t coming out of anyone’s pocket. It will if he keeps messing around though, and I am certain she intends to include that in his portion of the agreement, that he must pay legal fees.

Morning.
I have to go in to work for a few hours this afternoon. Before that, just school work and laundry.
My hair stylist and gym sent emails about measures they will be taking once they can open. The gym is encouraging people to wear masks when they come in. I really don’t think I (or many people) can workout with a mask on. If they do open any time soon, I’ll probably be putting my membership on hold.

guster these times are so surreal. I think back to our old schedule and wonder how much our new one will look like that once things start to normalize. I'd been doing pretty good overall, but yesterday it got to me a bit.

lahdeedah, I'm most suspect about gyms. They seem like a breeding ground to spread it. Touching everything, sweating, heavy breathing (that looks like I was describing sex). I just don't see how they can be safe. I'm wondering what our TKD studio will do but I don't think I'll be comfortable with whatever plan they come up with.

Yeah I’m no thanks to gyms but would be comfortable going to the hairdresser at this point, with my area’s current caseload, etc. I’d be even more comfortable back home based on their #s.
Our salons have been closed since March and I had a trim right before the governor shut them down (salons, etc. were closed a couple weeks before everything else). They were already practicing social distancing at that point—appointments were staggered so every other chair was empty, clients were asked to wait in their cars, and waiting and retail areas were closed off. I imagine when they reopen stylists will wear masks and similar measures will be taken, so I personally would be good with that.
ETA: this is silly/insignificant but I’m afraid we’ll move before stuff reopens here and I won’t get to say goodbye to my stylist, who I love :/

flamingo, I agree. I've heard people voice concerns about obviously not being able to maintain social distance in salons, but that's one of those situations where with masks, practicing good hygiene, and keeping people out of the waiting areas I think it can be reasonably safe. I'm looking forward to a massage again and I figure it's one-on-one and the linens are changed after every customer so overall seems low risk.

cagoldi When I got divorced, we were separated for 1 1/2 years before it was finalized. We didn't fight over anything, it just took him that long to actually file the paperwork. I didn't care, but things were different, no kids, I let him keep all the assets. I always thought he was dragging his feet though, thinking I'd come back. I think he finally filed when he realized I wasn't coming back. Maybe that's what P is holding onto... I had a hair appointment scheduled the week after our SAH order went into effect. My roots are BAD. I've talked to my stylist, whose salon actually closed for good during all this, she has since moved salons. Even if they allow 1 stylist in at a time, with their customer, just allow them to work in conditions they're comfortable in. I know I'm being selfish.

Everyone will be required to wear a mask and I’m ok with the measures she will put in place. If she does open sometime in May, I probably won’t get an appointment until June because she can only work a limited schedule with having to do school work with her kid. I will probably get the works so I won’t have to go back for a while.

Is it dick glitter time yet? My office location is really small. Now there's only 5 of us including the 2 attorneys so as far as going back, I'm fine with it. Daycare is open to essential employee children so I can get Hayden there because of MH. Not sure what to do about M. I'm sure my MIL would watch her a couple days a week but probably not every day. I'm interested to see what transpires in their meeting this afternoon. Our Houston office sent an email this morning that they would not be reopening Monday. If my tax office reopens, we'll have to be open.

I’m not super concerned about a salon for the reasons you mentioned. But I am good on the gym. Home workouts are fine.

That’s frustrating cagoldi. My coworker got divorced last fall and I think it took them 2 years from when they separated. Her xh was being an ass about stuff though, not just ignoring the paperwork. I hope this letter gets P to get his shit done.

I suspect once he gets his paperwork in, then he’s going to start making my life a nightmare by arguing over details. I’d like to be wrong.

cagoldi I’m sorry he’s making it difficult. DD’s hair is so gross because my school does a hair donation thing in June every year and she grew it out to participate. I’m sure it won’t happen now but I can’t go another year with that mess. I’m hoping I can just cut off the right length and donate it still and then get her nice hair again. We could hear but not see the flyover before. Lots of cool pictures on social media though.

My mom is old peopling so hard lately.
She recently shared fake news on FB, then asked me a random question about Hulu on a thread under a picture of Dude and X, and I just spent thirty minutes trying to walk her through finding the Prime App on her Fire Stick.

B’s best pal and his family came by on a walk so we chatted with them for a few and the kids were racing on their scooters. Amazing how less than 10 min of adult interaction (besides DH) lifts my spirits. Well, that and a glass of wine.
Afterwards B was like, “mom, I’m really tired of staying home.” I feel ya, kiddo.

I just started making Amish Friendship Bread. I haven’t made it since high school but if taken care of it can go on and on with only 1 packet of yeast. It takes 10 days to get the starter made.

Our governor announced salons are not opening anytime soon so I guess I need to think about what I can do with these aggressive grey hairs.
