Good morning. The Thunderbirds and Blue Angels are doing a salute to first responders at noon today that I think we should be able to watch so we have something to look forward to.
Yesterday I dropped some money to C’s daycare lady. She is still watching one baby and was holding him when she opened the door (I left the envelope, rang the bell and went back to the car but waited to make sure she got it). C was so excited to see the baby and talked about his little friends all afternoon. I forget even he misses his friends.

My boss sent an email late last night about the possibility of re-opening the office. He has a capital partner meeting this afternoon where all of this will be discussed and then he'll contact each of us afterwards. He had several questions listed in his email like do we have masks, hand sanitizer, should we open to the public, etc. Then 30 min later he sends another email asking if any of us would need to still work part time from home do to needing child care.

Morning!
Same old, same old here.
B woke up at an 11 and C was at my bedside at 7 am asking me to come play Barbies 🤪
We desperately need to get outside after we get B’s schoolwork done.

tgrimes I’m going to guess someone replied and asked about childcare. Does he know children actually full time care, not part time care?

His kids are 16 & 21 so I’m assuming his wife reminded him. Only 2 of us have young kids in the office currently, since the others got laid off. The other guy’s wife is furloughed at home and his daycare is open. So it’s really just me with an issue.

tgrimes I'm in the same boat. I've told the partners from the start that I don't have dc, so if school is out, then so am I. They know school is out for the year, so they best not expect me to come in. I also let them know that summer camps have started cancelling and I'm trying to find alternatives.

We're out of milk again so you know what that means....baileys is in my coffee. I just saw that episode yesterday . I’ve started rewatching Gilmore girls when the pandemic started. I’m in season five. That should be a confession I guess 🙄.

tgrimes time for M and H to grow up and learn to be responsible for themselves. I'm sure according to someone's grandma they were fixing meals for the family by M's age. 🙃

SSDD...or is it a different day because it all feels like a long neverending one.
The girls kept blowing off reading The Eleventh Hour but got engrossed last night. We worked on several codes to crack the mystery. We'll solve it today.

Watch Gilmore girls! I binged it when I was on maternity leave after S was born. It’s a good lighthearted show to watch right now.

UO alert: I have seen a few episodes of GG over the years, but I thought it was kind of schmaltzy and I hated the dialogue delivery.

Add me to the never watched Gilmore Girls list. and I'm not going to add it to my list. It's definitely not the kind of TV I watch.
My office is discussing partial returns to work starting Monday. My boss already told me she's fine with me staying home, she knows I'm working as normal. I think I will be home until at least the 15th of May, which is when our corporate office is out til. I told her we could consider going into the office on like MWF or TTH, or something along those lines, to ease back into things. No one wants us all to come back at the same time. I told her I'm fine with whatever, as long as no one is complaining.
The other guy who does purchasing, is going back Monday, because we all know he's sitting on his ass watching TV all day, occasionally checking email. I asked him to have his suppliers copy me on all invoices. I got 2 this morning when I logged in, sent overnight. he still hasn't sent them and it's been 2.5 hours. He's useless.

A new bakery opened in our town so we ran and got breakfast sandwiches from them. They were out of muffins and cinnamon rolls already. Hopefully we can get there early enough another day. School work needs to get done and I'm washing our bed clothes. I love clean sheet day. Need to dust and sweep our room and clean our bathroom. Oh and get 2 workouts in. MJ just conked out on my lap but since our bed is stripped idk if I can lay her down anywhere and her actually stay asleep.

In case anyone is keeping track, C is back to being a turd He had a math assessment this morning and threw a fit about it. We were already signed into Zoom so I un-muted it and let him know so he shaped up enough to function. In the meantime I was on a conference call and missed a ton of info about our pandemic plans and other important updates so that was awesome. Can I just go back to bed now?

Hi! We did our work this morning and the kids are playing inside now while it warms up a little bit more outside. I plan to spend the entire afternoon out there. I may go back and start re-watching Parks and Rec. I remember feeling so satisfied when the series was over and I wonder if the rewatch will make me feel the same way.

Also, maybe a fftc, but is anyone else randomly spouting before quarantine facts out loud ? Sometimes to myself, sometimes to whomever is in the room I’ll look at the clock and say, “to get Charlie to school on time, we have to leave the house by 8:40” or something else in my old “routine.” I’ve also made a list of errands that have to be done when the quarantine is lifted. I have clothes at the cleaners because they shut down before I could pick them up, same thing with a jacket that needed a new drawstring, books that have to be returned to library, and photos to pick up at CVS.

This it started airing in 2001 over here, so when I was 15, the same age as Rory. I watched with my sister & rewatched with my little sister 6-7 years later.
