DH let the kids take the lead (he gave me a new hairdryer I wanted) so it ended up hysterical. They raided my bathroom cabinet and filled up a basket with my stuff for me. And DH helped them make a charm bracelet by drilling through their small toys and TRADING CARDS and threading elastic through them. The little one gave me his toy Elsa and Olaf to remind me of the time we dressed up as Elsa and Olaf (yesterday) and his purse stuffed with his toys (including twin hatchimals to remind me of him and his brother). DH and my oldest also made me breakfast, and my oldest made me lunch. I feel like this will be a story told at dinner 15 years from now and referred to as "pandemic mother's day". lol

My little guy sat me down at bedtime last night so we could discuss Father's Day. He wants it to be exactly the same for DH.
"I want him to be able to sit and do his work, and no one bothers him or asks him questions."
Me: Isn't that how it works every day? Every day dad sits and does his work while you and your brother leave him alone and bother me.
4yo: well...yeah... but... only on weekdays!

Your kids are hilarious.

Hey friends. Since I’m mostly mobile right now I forget about this board.
DS is starting school FT tomorrow. He went a couple days last week and loooved being back. He’s honestly been pretty sweet at home, but he needed the structure of school again. Tomorrow DH and I are splitting work time between home and our offices, and I’m antsy to get back into mine.
