C has been a better, nicer child since Saturday morning. Kind and thoughtful. Still tons of energy but listening more without arguing. I’m waiting for him to break with a fever or something!
We still had a couple little battles about school today but otherwise he did good and I was able to get a ton done. I did spend lunch time having sword fights and fake boxing him so I think that helped. Fingers crossed he is turning back into the boy from a couple of months ago that I couldn’t wait to pick up from school.

Hi went into work for a few hours. I asked the mailroom to hold all mail pertaining to certain companies. They said ok and then delivered them. Not cool mailroom not cool. I go back in for a few hours Wednesday to collect what they undeliver for me.
C and the kids are playing outside wi Th the water table while I’m chilling before making dinner. I know I got work done but it doesn’t feel like it.

tgrimes any chance you could get a baby sitter to come in a couple afternoons a week? I know with H you want to keep the herd tight but maybe it would really help your day to day. I haven’t had to put in a ton of hours nights and weekends and I know if I did that I would be in a much worse headspace.

I haven’t had to put in a ton of hours nights and weekends and I know if I did that I would be in a much worse headspace. My MIL said she’d be willing to help, but I hate to take advantage of her. He’s also a total jerk right now and don’t want to subject her to his assholeish behavior. I might have to though. |

If she's anything like my parents, she's probably bored out of her mind and would love the chance to see the kids and help  |

DH and I were WAY too ambitious tonight with dinner...we planned for lettuce wraps and chicken fried rice. DH somehow found the most complicated fried rice recipe ever, we forgot to cook the rice in advance, etc. I do not know what we were thinking, lol.
I got showered and did my hair and makeup today--woohoo!--and baked banana nut bread.
Back to school tomorrow. I like having Mondays 'off' as a way to ease back from the weekend...such as it is. This makes no sense, I know, since every day is basically the saaaaame.

Someone else said they sent one of their kids off to a grandparents house because of bad behavior and after she could tell that she needed the “break” from other siblings/parents, home. It may be good for him to get away even if for just a few hours. |

Earlier I went to Fresh Market for crab cakes that were on sale. I saw some containers of potato salad and thought that it looked good. I have to stop myself from eating the whole thing. So good. I don’t know why I’m crushing on potato salad, but yeah, fits in with all (waves hands) this.

I might be overreacting but DH is taking H to the ER right now. She started complaining about a tummy ache at supper time and by the time she was done with her shower she was doubled over saying she couldn’t walk because it hurt so bad. Hopefully it’s not appendicitis. I had DH bring her because I can’t carry her right now and the ER is probably the last place a pregnant woman should be. I don’t like not being there right now. I’ll keep you guys updated when I hear something, they only left 5 minutes ago.

The relish pieces were a little big for my liking, but it didn’t stop me from devouring it. Yum. |

The good news is that it’s not her appendix. Apparently she has “mild constipation” and will need to do daily miralax. Better safe than sorry but dang that’s annoying.
