Hello, is it me you're looking for?
So glad it's Friday. The girls have a Zoom meeting and I'll have them do a Scholastic lesson but that's it for school. So relieved.
I think we'll do take out tonight. Our non-fast food options are limited around here so we'll probably go with our favorite Italian place we've eaten at several times already.
IMDB has Gremlins 2 so I might see if the girls want to watch that.

I’m here. I’m just feeling blah. We have a big family (aunts, nieces etc.) Whatsapp group and it was ‘free for all complaints’ hour last night. We complained about stuff that is nothing big on the grand scale, but still sucks, cancelled vacations, parties, concerts, not being able to visit each other. It was weirdly fun. How are you girls holding up?

Morning! Just schoolwork on the agenda here today. nam2013 yes, the occasional pity party is much needed, IMO. My husband calls those my ‘wallowing’ days. Makes me feel like a hippo but w/e 😂 ETA: I find myself going back and forth b/n feeling hopeful/optimistic, and like this will never end. I think my home state will end up reopening sooner than our current state so I try to hold onto that. Our closing for the new house is on track but we are waiting to hear from the navy whether we will get our waiver approved to move on time (end of May). Otherwise I will be packing up our house and we’ll put everything into storage until the Navy will move it to FL in July.

Last night M saw a commercial on TV and immediately burst into tears. She was hysterical. Turns out if was someone in a hospital with blood all over them. She refused to sleep by herself so she slept with H in his room. SHe passed out within 2 min but H was still awake when I left the room. I heard some commotion 5 min later and saw he'd woken up M. 10 min later I cracked the door to check on them and they were asleep holding hands. So sweet.

So sweet tgrimes! flamingo I feel the same between the back and forth...will it end? It's such a mind fuck and the news definitely doesn't help. We changed our Gulf Shores vacation to the middle of June. Definitely a benefit of being related to the person who owns the house we stay in, she informed me first thing when she found out about a cancellation and I jumped on it. Hopefully by then, things will be opened up enough that we can go, otherwise we will cancel for good.

The cutest tgrimes! I hope things are on track for the move flamingo! Is there an option to move yourselves and they give you a stipend for it? One of our new employees just did that. It was a benefits the government because it costs less. The guy is single and therefore doesn’t have as much, so he hired it out and paid since he was getting the stipend.

My parents are supposed to be getting a cash offer on their house today! 🤞it’s what my parents want. But also yikes! It will be so weird to go up there to visit and for appointments and not stay with them. But they are excited to start their new RV adventures...once they can actually go places.
I’m ready to get back to life normally, but only when it’s safe of course. Sierra really needs to see the Cerebral Palsy specialist. Her appointment is in May, but it took 6 months to get in to so I’m hoping it doesn’t get canceled. We are really having a lot of issues with her hips popping a ton and her legs buckling. The last few days she had a few episodes where she couldn’t even walk for an hour or 2 after her legs buckled.
And I am having trouble with my left thumb locking up and major pain. According to google it can happen after carpal tunnel surgery. So apparently I traded 1 problem for another. I’m hoping a cortisone shot will help, but if not, it might be another surgery to cut the tendon. But I can’t even push the button to open my front door with it, so I’m hoping they will allow appointments soon!

We can do that under normal circumstances, but since right now they’ve got a hold on all military moves, we probably wouldn’t be reimbursed for it :/ I’m hopeful we’ll get the waiver (the guy we’re buying the house from was already approved) but no guarantees, and no clue when we’ll find out.

Hello! I had an awful day yesterday. Obviously all the awful COVID news (a friend lost her brother and her dad is now hospitalized), C was an absolute nightmare, needing to make tough choices about work, ect. All the shit I'm sure lots are going through, it just hit and I couldn't stop crying.
Today is a new day though and the weather is great and the kids are good and MH will be home for the weekend!

wineallthetime each of those things is enough by itself. Sorry yesterday was so bad, hopefully today brings better news. I'll be thinking about your friend and her family, that is sad.

I just didn’t feel comfortable putting the money down with so much uncertainty. We were also in a condo on the beach and didn’t want to deal with elevators and other stuff with the kids. A house is a much better set up. Hope June happens for y’all!

Hi!
I’m at work. Not much longer to go. I was asked to work again this weekend and agreed because it’s not like I’m going anywhere anyway. This week at work we had a lot more outpatients scheduled day to day and got a plan going forward from our hospital.
Elective surgeries and procedures will start back up as they feel they have a good PPE supply. All patients coming in for invasive procedures are required to be tested/surveillance by our hospital 48-72 hours before the procedure. All patients admitted will be tested. Non-invasive procedures the patients show up and will be screened. Our current visitor policies will still be in place except for special circumstances and we are all still required to wear masks while we are here. Temp checks/screenings will continue.
This is all subject to change and they expect our governor to lift SIP that is supposed to end Sunday. We shall see. I’m optimistic for our health system for now, not sure about everything else.
I also found out that our hospital has a “pandemic fund” that they have been tapping and that is why they haven’t been cutting hours/ doing layoffs. I think that is smart and they had to be in a good position to even have something like that. It definitely eases some anxiety I had about what is to come as far as work goes for me.

Ts&Ps to your bums. It should be a relatively short-lived problem, based on the rate at which my kids burn thru TP 😒
