I woke up at 630 bc I wanted to have my coffee in silence. It was lovely. I’m sure everyone will start stirring soon.
I have three tasks today (and I’m writing them here so I don’t forget)— I want to soak the legos, reorganize the linen closet, and box up the donations I piled on our dresser last night.

Morning. I woke up at six, lord knows why. I’m having serious cabin fever, so I’m venturing out for a small trip to the store this afternoon. I think I’m getting cake.

Oh and we got the official word yesterday that schools up to 7th grade & daycare are opening May 11th. In what shape or form (half days/half classes etc) isn’t clear yet. I’m so happy dd can properly say goodbye to her little friends at daycare & ds can say goodbye to his kindergarten years in a good way. He’s been in this group for almost three years and lots of unfortunate things happened, so it was a little heartbreaking to see him struggle with the idea of going straight to the first grade. The day before we got news his teacher is returning for two days, so all in all good days over her.

We're going for a bike ride at the park today. And I need to grab my bows from my bow lady. Other than that school work and laundry.

Good morning! It’s supposed to get to almost 80 here so that’s amazing and I’m excited to soak up the sun. The girls are playing with barbies again this morning and I’m going to have them start schoolwork in 45 minutes.

Josie had a google hangout meeting for school with her teacher and one other kid. It was so organized and relaxed, but it throws a crimp in our morning bc I don’t want to go back to the screen, so I think we’re passing on schoolwork for the day.

Very little sleep over here. I couldn't fall asleep until after midnight, then the girl joined me at some point. I was sweating like crazy, then she woke me up to ask me what the clock numbers were to see if she could get up yet. I don't have just a clock, so she went to the kitchen. I don't know what time it was, but she said it was the right numbers and she got her tablet. So I've been drifting in and out since then.
I think it's supposed to rain all day, so we'll be stuck inside. Cadence has a dance class at 2.

Morning ladies. MH finally got caught up on Ozark so we'll start the new season. Oh man those people are pathetic on Too Hot To Handle.

Back from the store I got a tompouce guster 😉. I got water balloons and a bubble machine for the kids. I also got a iced coffee that was so incredibly sweet that one sip made me want to throw up. Such a shame.

Morning! Just working today. Evie and I will head to the school around 11 to pick up lunches. Nothing else.

I drank too much last night. We had some neighbors over for driveway drinks, sat at least 6' apart, so it was fun and felt normal. But since I started drinking at 3 and stopped at 10, I'm really feeling it today.

It's supposed to rain today, so it might be a good day for a catnap.

Hate that nam2013. I would occasionally get an iced coffee from McD’s and the first time I tried it was good but ever since then it’s never made the same and far often way too sweet. Blech.

Morning. It’s refrigerator day! Praise be. I hope we aren’t last on the list for delivery. I got no time frame, just that they would call 30 min to 1 hour before delivery. :/

Petty Betty, reporting for duty. DH is doing his final 'check ride' today so he's gone for most of the day, and I just feel bitter about it. This is petty of me, and also illogical, for a lot of reasons, so I just have to sit here feeling pissy and guilty simultaneously. :/

Otherwise, same old, same old here. It's pretty out today, although a bit chilly, so I'm sure we'll get outside later on. B had speech this morning and he has an (optional) Zoom meeting with his kindergarten class and the guidance counselor after lunch. I like that she checks in with the kids so we will do that.

Also, I got a spammy email that referenced one of the passwords I use pretty frequently, so now I'm paranoid and am changing alllll the passwords I have.

We always give my parents a dinner with just the five of us (me, two sisters+parents) as a combined Mother’s Day /Father’s Day gift. It is wonderful, my parents love it m and so do we, it has become a real tradition. Normally my sister flies out at the end of May for DD’s birthday, since this year that ain’t happening, we’d thought we’d give my parents a gift certificate and some ‘forget me not’ flowers, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere!

I’m so sorry. It just sucks so much! Could you maybe to a drive by and hand out a little favour to all the kids and teacher? That way he’ll at least see them one last time...

My niece had surgery this morning. She's now back home resting.

When she woke up she told my sister that her wrist was pulsing. She explained that you can feel your pulse in your wrist. My niece freaked out because she thought the doctor added that in her wrist during surgery. Lol.

In hilarious news, M has to make something using recyclable/reusable materials for her Earth Week project. Her teacher asked every kid on the zoom meeting what they wanted to make and what were they going to use to make it. When it was M's turn, she froze up. So I asked her what was currently in the recycle bin that she could use. I really thought she'd say boxes or water bottles or something. Her answer was "lots of wine bottles!"

I was going to have a restaurant at home thing for DH's. C didn't want to. My plan was to get his favorite meal and have a nice fancy table set up for when he got home and C would be the waiter. Obviously your H is at home so you would have to have him out of the space for a bit but it could be a cute idea. Then the gifts- maybe a dirty coupon book. Gotta get creative during these times!

I’m getting my h a yard poster with a picture of fenway, so he can pine for many many years to come and a cold brew coffee maker. We’ll probably order in and I’ll bring in some nice beers.
