Man today was exhausting. Meetings straight from 9-12 and a fire drill at work that ended up not being needed. And my boss popped in my project meeting, but thankfully went well. Mh has a stye in his eye and good Lord, it's frightful.
And in traumatizing news, a neighborhood cat was spotted on our fence next to a birdhouse and then I saw him eating on the ground. He was back later and I banged on the door and ran outside like a crazy person. So things are great here, I'm just actually crying over birds in our backyard. I am not sure if I can do anything to prevent this. F'ing cat.

They canceled school in Ohio for the rest of the year. Apparently they called it in MA (where most of my friends teach) today as well. Still nothing definitive here, but I'm not holding my breath. |

Of course they were peachsmama. The initial protests were tiny and got outsized coverage, which just encouraged more to follow suit. I saw a picture today of a protest where one woman's sign said "Sacrifice the weak, reopen TN". What do you even say to that level of garbage? |

Happy Birthday cagoldi! My #40 is next week. 3 days after my 17th wedding anniversary. How did I get this old! Schools in MO were announced last week to be closed the rest of school year. I picked up all of S’s stuff yesterday. I totally spaced on a conference call this afternoon. Hope no one noticed I wasn’t there. Whoops! |

Test drive went fine. I’m not very impressed with the sales guy though. He told me they still had the specific van I wanted to test drive and then when I got there he told me he couldn’t find it. So I test drove a different one and looked at a few others. I would pick a different sales guy but this is DH’s friend. That's annoying...like, he knows you're coming, pull it up to the front, dude! And if it sold, then he needs to man up and be honest. This is why car sales people (or sales people, in general) get a bad name. His excuse was that someone may have taken it home for the night to test drive and hadn’t returned it yet. This guy is like the worlds laziest car salesman. He is not very quick to respond and doesn’t seem super motivated to get the deal. We actually found another one at a different, hopefully better, dealership that we are inquiring about now. I like this one better because it’s white. |
