chrisy01 I've been eyerolling at the Disney people on my FB groups looking for some insider info about the parks open. It's like everything else. Time will tell and Disney will of course announce it and that will be the only official way to know. I've seen several people on my military groups try to figure out how to buy the military salute passes because those offices are closed on post now. When people point out they are nonrefundable and we have no clue when the parks will open they just reply they know, but want to get their fast passes. *shrugs* I'm a huge Disney person, but even that is such a weird thing to be focusing on now. People are trying to get me to tell them what’s Disney’s plan. Guess what, I don’t know. I’m “essential” but not “in the know”. So 🤷♀️

Zoos are opening back up here, most of them just for members, but we’re not telling telling Ds. I don’t think the zoo is a place we should be going to now...
ETA ds has been asking about the zoo almost every day since this all started, I think alongside school, going to the zoo would mean things are back to normal to him.

Watching my kids with schoolwork highlights how different they are. Cass flew through her work and did extra. Maddie just sits in front of it forever doing little of nothing and moans about it. Yeah, because you aren't doing anything. I know she could finish it in a short amount of time if she'd just do it.

They canceled school in Ohio for the rest of the year. Calendar or academic? Academic for now. They are considering an alternate schedule for the next school year.

I feel like a prized orchid.
My rose facial spray was on my desk and Atticus asked what it was for. I told him it’s to keep my skin hydrated. Every time he comes to see me at my desk, he asks if he can mist my skin.

It’s Taco Tuesday here so I’m having a margarita.
DH has been doing most of our grocery shopping, etc, but I went to Target (my first outing other than driving aimlessly for showings) in weeks—felt almost normal. Just got much needed cleaning supplies and paper towels but it was good for my head.

Like normality is still out there and one day we’ll get to live it again. I savour these little moments .

It reminds me of after I had B...my first trip out solo (WalMart, because that was all our small town had😂) felt almost magical.

The recycling guys missed our plastic the other day so I drove it to the recycling center (which is just a bunch of giant dumpsters outside). It was so fun to drive my minivan a mile and then throw stuff in a dumpster.

We really want take out but we can’t agree on what. Ideally, I’d get the kids a pizza then DH and I would get some Cuban take out after they go to bed but this dam 8pm curfew ruins that plan.

Test drive went fine. I’m not very impressed with the sales guy though. He told me they still had the specific van I wanted to test drive and then when I got there he told me he couldn’t find it. So I test drove a different one and looked at a few others. I would pick a different sales guy but this is DH’s friend.

And if it sold, then he needs to man up and be honest. This is why car sales people (or sales people, in general) get a bad name.
