Weeks/Due Date - 33w2d / June 6
The Good - No more contractions or anything like that.
The Bad - I feel like my pelvis is bruised or something. It's so hard to do anything other than sit. Both standing and lying down are super uncomfortable.
Milestones/Appointments - OB on Thursday for another check to make sure things haven't progressed any further.
To Do List - Install the carseat.

This is funny danib, I am the complete opposite of you. Sitting is intolerable, standing for a short time ok, and laying (mostly on my left side) is the only tolerable position. Parenting and teaching is definitely limited in this position. Sorry kids.

Weeks/Due Date - 34 weeks/May 30
The Good - I feel a lot more prepared now that we have an infant car seat so we can actually bring this kid home.
The Bad - Peeing all the time. DD asked me this weekend if I knew how many times I'd gone to the bathroom that day. I just told her too many...
Milestones/Appointments - Next appointment is next week.
To Do List - Make sure the car seat fits in the car. If not, we have a truck that will work, but we'll officially be in the market for a larger vehicle later this year if it doesn't fit. I think we'll be ok, based on measurements, but want to know for sure by trying it soon.

txaggie08 I'm praying I can make our seats fit. Well I'm fairly confident I can make them fit, but I'm not sure DS1 will be able to buckle his belt (because the seats will be tight together) which would mean he'd have to go back to being harnessed until we can purchase a van. I'm hoping to avoid that.

danib, are you in Nova Scotia, or am I remembering wrong? If so, I was so sorry to hear about the shooting rampage there. Weeks/Due Date - 33 weeks tomorrow The Good - Still getting in pretty decent workouts daily. Feeling pretty good, though I overdid it with painting our bannister after the kids' bedtime Fri/Sat/Sun nights. I underestimated how long something with multiple sides and lots of little nooks and crannies would take me to paint. I'm happy with how it turned out, though. The Bad - I feel enormous. I think I've reached the stage where my nose is getting fatter. At least not many people are seeing me in person these days, and I still look decent on videoconference. Milestones/Appointments - Tomorrow is my growth ultrasound. DH isn't allowed to come. My OB and I decided they'll just call me after the ultrasound to check in. I'll go back at for a regular OB appt at 36 weeks. So I won't have had any appointments between 28 and 36 weeks besides the ultrasound, and we're both good with that unless anything weird comes up. To Do List - I recently printed our birth preferences and washed a bunch of the baby gear stuff. So I washed the carseat cover (and ordered a new infant insert since I couldn't find ours), activity mat, nursing pillow covers, baby bathtub sling. I need to wash baby clothes and have DH get the baby bathtub down from the attic at some point.

Plus, she's 8.5 so we wouldn't even get much use for her out of it before she outgrows whatever we find that would fit.

sdlaura I painted my front porch 2 years ago and it took forever with the railings and getting between all the boards. I feel your pain. And now it’s all chipped again and ready for another painting. I’m dreading it. The porch came this way with the house, but now I know I will never choose to have another painted porch.

Yeah you definitely don't want to spend money on another harnessed seat.

Weeks/Due Date - 30w1d 6/28
The Good - feeling pretty good overall. Got the nb clothes, swing cover and bouncer cover all washed.
The Bad - I keep wanting to do things that I know I can do with no problem not pregnant (like deep clean a room or pull weeds) and then I immediately regret my decision because my body hurts. Also, I get out of breath so fast.
Milestones/Appointments - chiro tomorrow, next OB in a couple weeks
To Do List - hopefully buy a van this week. I found one I really want so tomorrow I will test drive and I put in a loan application to our bank tonight. Fx everything works out.

Weeks/Due Date - 33 weeks 3 days, June 5
The Good - I only have 3.5 weeks of work left. I’ve been very productive the last few weeks so that feels good.
The Bad - I’ve apparently started snoring and am not sleeping the greatest. I’ve also reached the point where I have to pee constantly. I had a lot of intermittent contractions and pelvic pressure 2 days ago and that seems to be when I started having to pee constantly as well. I think baby dropped deeper in to my pelvis.
Milestones/Appointments - Next is at 35 weeks on 5/1.
To Do List - We finished the last coat of trim paint in the nursery today so it is finally ready for a deep clean and then I can start moving the crib and furniture in. Once I have that done I will start washing baby gear and putting it away. I made myself a house deep cleaning list that I hope to tackle once I’m off work. Deep cleaning our entire house at 37+ weeks is totally reasonable right? I figure if I focus on one room a day it won’t be too bad.

It is key to have it completely dry before you paint and for days afterwards. Because you can’t control the rain, I wasn’t able to do that the last time I painted it, so it’s possible that is why mine has chipped so much in the last couple years. It’s also possible I didn’t get the best kind of paint for porches. I’m definitely not an expert!

Weeks/Due Date - babies were born last Thursday, April 16! Right on schedule.
The Good - well I am no longer pregnant with twins so that is pretty amazing in itself, lol. Not having heartburn or carrying them around feels great. Also, they are the sweetest little love bugs and are providing a much needed distraction from the burning world right now. In general they are very chill newborns.
The Bad - oh how I miss sleep lol. These babies are so weird. They sleep perfect newborn schedules from about 6am-10pm — eating every 3 hours and otherwise a few minutes of awake time occasionally and lots of naps anywhere we put them - bassinet, pack n play, etc. But it’s like they know it’s night time and they will not sleep unless they are being held or in bed next to me. So since I cannot co-sleep in good conscience, I just stay up all night reading on my phone basically. My H gets up for diaper changes and feedings and gets them out of the bassinet etc, but I am quickly learning that he’s absolutely awful with no sleep and his temper and patience MOTN is...not great. I ordered SNOO rentals because I’m already desperate and they will still take a week to get here so it’s going to be a long week lol.
I’m also struggling with c section recovery. I mean it’s progressing normally I presume, as this is my first c/s so all I can compare it to is my vaginal birth. I’m just over being in pain and moving so slow and feeling so useless in the care of my own babies. I want my body back to a normal functioning body!
Milestones/Appointments - birth of course, ha. They have their first pediatric appt tomorrow.
To Do List - survive newborn hell lol

Weeks/Due Date - 30w 3d/June 27th
The Good - I haven’t thrown up in awhile. Baby’s growth scan was last Wednesday and she is in the 40th percentile which is so great!
The Bad - Braxton Hicks, pelvic pain/pressure, and insomnia are slowly killing me. I didn’t fall asleep until 6:40am. DS2 woke up at 7am and I’ll admit that I handed him my phone so I could get a little sleep.
Milestones/Appointments - 30 weeks!! Only 8 left to go. NST isn’t until May 8th
To Do List - get baby clothes washed and put up, install the car seat, buy organizer bins and start putting everything away. Right now it’s all just a mess in her room.

Just had my growth scan and everything looked great. Baby is estimated at just under 5 pounds (I'm 33 weeks today). So that would put him between 8 and 8.5 pounds at 40 weeks. Sounds good to me! It was nice to get out of the house. I drove by the beach on my way home just to look at it.
Also when I was pregnant with DS1 in 2013 and he had the heart defect, I had to transfer my care to a doctor who was affiliated with the hospital next to our children's hospital. That doctor is now the head of perinatology at the medical group I've used for my 3 other pregnancies. So I saw him today for the first time since early 2014. We also ended up seeing the pediatric cardiologist who did our fetal echo with our first doomed pregnancy (the termination for medical reasons) at a different practice when she did our fetal echo with this pregnancy. It's weird that we keep running into the same doctors in different places. But I guess that's what you get for having 4 babies over nearly 8 years in the same town. It's fun to tell them how well DS1 is doing, despite him being born with a major heart defect.

willow are you getting any help? I know right now it’s near impossible , but if you felt comfortable having a couple nights of overnight help, it could make a world of difference. I don’t know much about it, but isn’t there something behind twins cosleeping with each other? Have you tried that?

Weeks/Due Date - 39w2d
The Good - heartburn is less, rib pain is less since I stopped wearing a bra (I have only put one on to go to doctor appts - highly recommended if your not overly endowed!!), less SI and PS pain
The Bad - still have lots of discomfort with pelvic pressure when sitting and standing, very little nighttime sleep, lots of BH, no energy or patience which means I’m not being a very good parent. I had a good cry today as I struggled to teach my son with reading today. I am not made to be his teacher.
Milestones/Appointments - saw the OB today. He said my cervix is soft and that “if he stuck in two fingers he could stretch it to a couple centimeters “ LOL 😂 But also that because this is my 3rd, doesn’t mean much. Could happen today or in a week (or more). So I scheduled next weeks appt and I’m really hoping I don’t have to go to it.
To Do List - Go into labor, have a safe birth and healthy baby

I don’t know much about it, but isn’t there something behind twins cosleeping with each other? Have you tried that? My H is on leave for another couple of weeks which is good because I can’t do much while recovering from the c/s. We are fortunate that MIL lives nearby and is retired so she has volunteered to come over to give us nap breaks. We have done that once already and probably will text her again today lol. It’s extra challenging because our older sons preschool is closed so he’s very hard to entertain right now. My parents are WFH during all this and my college aged brothers live with them and can do a few hours here and there too. So we have help during the day anyway. I’m not sure how comfortable I am with a night nurse/doula right now due to social distancing and such. I ordered rental SNOOs which should be here next week so we will see if they are the miracle beds that I have heard only good things about lol. I haven’t done co sleeping with them yet. They are in a twin bassinet separated by a mesh barrier but it doesn’t seem to bother them to be separate. I’m sort of a safe sleep crazy person so I’d never sleep if they were sleeping inseparably at this small size/age.

We can fit three kids in the back seat of our car! Poor DD is going to be cramped in the middle of two car seats, but it won't be for long trips or anything.

Weeks/Due Date - 34 weeks/May 30
The Good - I had my ultrasound last week to check the growth of baby since I have that marginal cord insertion which can cause low birth weight. Everything is on track as it should be and baby is measuring at 91%. I don’t rely on the estimates that much, they aren’t ever accurate, right?!
The Bad - I can’t sleep deep ever. My pelvis and hips bones feel like they are constantly broken so everytime I move I wake up with shooting pains. It’s awful but I don’t feel as tired as I expect to be so obviously I’m getting some rest!
Milestones/Appointments - had 34 week appt this week, nothing until 36 weeks.
To Do List - we need to get a new baby swing and I’m too cheap to pay full price so I’m stalking baby sites to find a good one. Any recs or ones to stay away from?
For DS we had borrowed my friend’s baby swing. DH tried to plug it into his computer adapter (don’t remember why 🤦♀️) and literally it popped (like a small explosion) and then the wires burnt out. I felt so bad so I told my friend we really liked it and wanted to buy it from them because I didn’t have the guts to tell her we blew it up lol so out $$ and no baby swing for new baby.

aries we have had a couple of the Fisher Price snugabunny/snuggapuppy swings and liked them a lot. DS2 slept in one every night (strapped in well) for a while, on the lowest swing setting all night long, and is still an amazing sleeper All the ultrasound estimates said that my DD was going to be enormous. She wasn’t small (8lbs 9 oz when she happened to arrive on her due date), but her labor didn’t feel any harder than my 7-pound boys. That’s awesome that your marginal cord insertion hasn’t caused any size issues!

aries they were pretty much spot on with my boys, DS1 was estimated 8lbs when I had one at 38weeks (high 90s %) and was born a few days later at 8lbs1oz. But they definitely can be off a bit.
