Hello, is it me you're looking for?
Nothing exciting. Yesterday we drove to St. Helen's and it was pretty but overcast there.
I pick up the girls' weekly packet today. The math for both of them is insanely easy. C could do M's math. I wonder who the heck made these math books. I think I'll still have them use the workbooks we got them because they learn something from those.

Its 10 am and I am just done.
The boys were being absolutely insane. I told them to grab their ipads and go have quiet time in their rooms. But they were still loud so I go in and notice a dirty wipe on the floor. I start yelling about putting trash in the trash can and not on the floor and I pick it up and THERE IS POOP ON THE CARPET. not a little poop, but a big smear of poop. The wipe was a cover up apparently. J went poop in his underwear and finished on the toilet.. and put all the toilet paper in the trash can, got it on the walls. Then sat down to put underwear on and his but wasn't clean. So it got on the carpet. So he just covered it with a wipe. I'm guessing this happened early this morning but he says he doesn't know. So now there's a shit stain on their floor. I can't get it up. It was dried by the time I found it. I'm making him wear pulls ups all day. If he wants to act like a baby, I'll treat him like one.
He had a similar incident last week and I had to throw away the stool for the bathroom because there was no saving it.. he's been completely potty trained for a year. WTF.

And I threw away both pairs of underwear because life is to short to scrape poop out of clothing...

Ugh peachsmama so frustrating. It can be normal for kids to regress a bit from time to time, even if they’ve been trained for months or years, especially during stressful times, starting at school, sickness in the family, new sibling etc., but als during times like these. It’s not something kids do intentionally most times.

Nothing exiting over here. Dutch folk put teddy bears in their window sills the last few weeks, so kids can go on a ‘bear’ hunt. So the kids and I walked trough our neighbourhood with a notepad (to mark the score) and binoculars and went bear hunting . Ds original teacher called, just inform how things are going, I just love her, she’s the sweetest.

nam2013 We have been doing the Bear Hunt here for awhile as well. We have 2 bears in our windows...they will likely be there forever because one is up high and I'm too lazy. I pulled everything out of Evie's closet this morning and told her we are going through it all today. Not sure how I'm going to accomplish that with working as well, but so far, she's been receptive to donating/throwing crap away.

Some neighbors were doing a safari hunt, which I thought was cute, as well.

I don’t know if you have access to the IXL app but it differentiates the curriculum so kids can choose a grade (up and through the end of high school,) so they can be on their own level, regardless of what the rest of the class is working on.

Hi girls.
Let’s see what homeschooling adventures await is this week. 🙄
X is worsening with each passing day. He’s losing communication skills at an alarming rate. This is making him extremely frustrated and the resulting whining and screaming is not awesome.

Morning.
Not much happening here. We had free HBO this weekend that I found out about yesterday, so I’ve been trying to catch up on a few shows and movies and plan to continue that today. It’s the last day of the promo. Couch potato Monday.
Apparently our delivery day is Thursday. I really hope we get bumped up the list by some miracle. I do not want to lose what’s in my freezer. If we had a truck, we would go pick it up.

Two people have offered me their HBO GO logins (thank you!!) over the last couple of months, and I finally bit the bullet and went to watch some thing the other night only to find that there’s a whole stream-for-free/no-subscription-needed category on HBO GO. There are some good choices on there for those of you who don’t have the subscription but want something new to watch. After I finish Silicon Valley I will watch the second season of Big Little Lies .

cagoldi I'm sorry to hear about X. I'm sure you are both super frustrated and I hope something changes in your area to help kids who need this kind of therapy. You aren't alone, so I'm surprised nothing has happened yet! I have a FB friend who posted some stupid comment about why the US is shut down and the rules they are forcing upon us. Another guy I graduated from HS with commented that he agreed and it's all about power. A friend of hers commented about how hospitals are going to have problems when you can't reschedule elective surgeries. I had the biggest of eye rolls reading it all. What a bunch of idiots.

The workbooks I got for them (from Amazon, not from their school) are more their level so I'll just stick with those for now.

mwhip all the dumbshit conspiracy theories are getting old. I blocked/unfriended a bunch of people long ago who share stupid stuff on FB but I'm still overwhelmed with the imbiciles out there. It's infuriating. And once again, this is during a Republican/Trump administration. I can't even imagine how out of control and violent these morons would likely be if this were under a democratic administration. I love all these "I can think for myself/don't believe everything I hear" comments. No, the problem is you don't think because you choose to be a moron.

mwhip sooo infuriating! I also can’t handle people who have all of a sudden become experts when it comes to virus and disease control, who saw this coming months and months ago and have that holier than thou attitude.

I was totally there in the first week of distance learning where everybody was posting links to this free virtual museum and that zoo webcast and this set of activities and here is a schedule to follow... It was so wonderful to have all of the resources but I hit a point where I couldn’t process any of it anymore.

Can’t remember if the first season of Big Little Lies is on there. I know I want to watch that one, but I didn’t have enough time since I found out late about our free weekend. I caught up on Succession yesterday. M and I are watching FF: Hobbs and Shaw now. I need to watch the last season of Ballers today. Anyone watch Sharp Objects? Is that a good one?
