Lolz. I'm laughing at all the bananas wineallthetime. I love this banana bread recipe. The secret is...lots of bananas. 2 c. Flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 c. Butter 3/4 c. Brown sugar 2 eggs, beaten 4-5 bananas Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x5 inch loaf pan. Combine dry ingredients (I also add cinnamon and nutmeg). Cream butter and sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas. (I just throw it in the mixing stand.) Stir in dry ingredients until just blended. Bake for 60-65 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes then put on wire rack.

Morning! I’ve been working on my homework and finished the big assignment for this week now I just have the test and continuing responding to the discussion posts. I’ll do the test at nap time.
L and I made empty-tomb biscuits his teacher sent the recipe home as optional work. They normally make them the Thursday before Easter at school.
Now we have Pillsbury Easter chick 🐣 cookies baking.
C put a pot roast in the slow cooker before he left for work so that’s for dinner. After the kids are in bed we will put the Easter baskets together.

Oooh, I love a pot roast or a brisket, chrisy01! It’s kind of chilly and windy here, so that sounds perfect!

I got a text at 2:15 from a random realtor asking if they could show the house at 3.
I was not aware the house was listed (stellar property mgt, obviously).
I declined the showing (We were in midst of dyeing eggs and I was prepping stuff for tmrw’s dinner) and said they could come back one day this week if they’d like and we’d make sure house would be available. No response so guess they weren’t *that* interested.
PM was probably not pleased but geez...a holiday weekend and you list the house and I get 45 minutes’ notice?!

I put bananas in the last pancake batch. I thought it was pretty good. Just mash it up into the batter. I freeze all the extras and just pop them in the microwave for 1 minute when Cadence requests them.

We did the crafts, made the cookies(Pillsbury that you just set on the pan and bake), made the trolls popcorn, and dyed eggs. I'm exhausted and we haven't even watched the movie yet.

Morning! I have some work to do at home this weekend but it's ok cause we are all HOME. Obviously no plans to go anywhere. Dying eggs later. I'm looking up egg salad recipes so none of the eggs get wasted. cagoldi (Who I don’t think actually enjoys egg salad) gave me a recipe for it years ago that we now make on and off. I don’t know where I put it, but it had frizzled sage leaves and was served warm. It was a really nice change from the typical mayo and salt variety. I actually love that egg salad. I do pan-fried shallots and add fresh snipped chives and fill now, too. So good. Traditional egg salad is flavorless glue IMO.

You can make banana "pancakes" by simply mixing banana and egg and frying them up. So good. I add cinnamon.

The horse lady showed up and the girls were in love. Not sure what happened yesterday but glad it worked out.
SFFC: They are watching a Lifetime movie now called Psycho BFF. I don't know what it is about Lifetime movies but they love them and get totally sucked in.
Later egg dye.
MH has been a rockstar while I've been feeling crappy.

inthekitty we had a similar disappointment today. A woman posted on our local Facebook page that she had a bunny costume and would come around for people to get Easter pictures through their screen doors. But so many people wanted it that she said just come to me. I'll be at the church from 3-5. I guess she got bored and left at 4. We got there at 4:30 and she was gone. M cried and cried.

I cleaned the house all day. Then my neighbor hosted a dance party. We basically stood on our lawns and danced. The kids blew bubbles and wrote with chalk in the street. It was fun but too cold and windy.

There was an event like that here today. It’s a farm that always does harvest events, stuff at Xmas, etc. I saw it advertised on FB and assumed it would be nuts; an acquaintance of ours went and posted on social media that the cops had to come break it up 😂🤦🏻♀️ Apparently the line of cars stretched for a mile and caused traffic hazards.

Hi friends. I’m pooped. I worked this morning and it ended up being better than I expected. It was just me and one guest service person for the majority of the time. Unfortunately the elevator to one of the floors was locked so no one could get up there without me helping so I had to keep getting up and taking people places. It was fine but I was ready to sit by the time that clinic closed at 12. After work I went straight to Aldi to get groceries for tomorrow. I almost got everything so after I got home DH ran to the other grocery store for the remaining items. Then I came home and immediately started baking. The bread is rising and should be ready for the next step soon, we made chocolate chip cookie dough and that’s chilling, I boiled eggs for dying after supper and then I made the strawberry pie to 80% finished. The crust is cooling and then I’ll assemble.
I haven’t decided if I will just use the dyed eggs for making into deviled eggs tomorrow or if I should boil a half dozen more. We’ll see how I’m feeling about it tomorrow.

Hi hi - mh is almost done assembling the playhouse out back and I dealt with a fussy baby inside. I attempted a roast in the instapot and didn't do it long enough, so I had to put it back in and it still was too tough to shred it all🤦. It was pretty tasty though. I saw that NIH is requesting volunteers for healthy adults to test antibodies, including people that think they may have had it. I'm local, but you don't have to be to volunteer: www.nih.gov/news-events/news-releases/nih-begins-study-quantify-undetected-cases-coronavirus-infectionKids didn't dye eggs, so we will do that tomorrow I guess. I need to dig out the Easter stuff and assemble baskets tonight.

I really hope you write a google review or whatever of this shitty PM. Awful that you had to put up with them for 3 years.

Any time I’ve tried to do a whole roast for whatever, it never comes out like I want it, so I always cut mine into a few pieces so it comes out tender.

We indicated in early March we would accommodate showings as needed, but I asked for notice as we have young kids and dog we'll need to clear out, etc. So I knew it was coming theoretically, but figured we would get a heads up saying, "Hey, the listing is going live on X date". Esp. in light of...you know...the pandemic and whatnot. Silly me. It went live today. I cannot wait to write a review on this company. I am just biding my time til we get the deposit back.

flamingo I'm shocked they expect to show a house that is being lived in right now. You would think potential renters wouldn't want to go in a house nor would they want to bring their germs into a house. Ugh. Someone should rent it sight unseen or do a single open house so you can clean everything immediately afterwards.

Someone should rent it sight unseen or do a single open house so you can clean everything immediately afterwards. Yeah. TBH I don't think we'll have a lot of showings, b/c military travel and moves are on hold right now. So most people can't leave their current location to house hunt. (Obviously civilians can still do those things but I think those people are probably sitting tight right now if they can.) Even under normal/non-pandemic circumstances, most landlords I know don't want houses shown with tenants still residing in them, b/c you have no control over how the tenant is keeping the house, etc. So I'm kind of surprised, but not really b/c this PM is an idiot.

Eggs are dyed, plastic eggs are stuffed and baskets are ready. I will bring them out to the living room before I leave for work, the kids will still be asleep. I’m bummed I have to miss out on their faces when they see the baskets so DH is on strict instructions to take pics and videos in the morning. Everything else will wait until I’m home from work. I’m going to bed now.

Baskets are done and eggs are stuffed here too. There wasn't much to the baskets...MH didn't even get half the stuff I had for him on a photo list. 🤦♀️ But we're not going out for Easter candy so it'll have to make do. Luckily I had some stuff set aside for friend parties and made up for the bare baskets.
