cagoldi Evie has a Samsung tablet that we got through Verizon on our phone plan. We all have one. I'v been very happy with it.

Guise. I hate the fucking FIRE tablet. It’s a PITA to navigate. I tied loading Hooked on Phonics and ABC Mouse and the thing is just not intuitive, and since Dude is not familiar with tablets I don’t think he will have the patience for it either. What are you using? I’m an apple girl. So is S. We have iPhones. She uses an iPod touch and an iPad. I tried the Kindle fire but hated it. Partly because I’m just not familiar with the interface. But I felt like it was too slow, plus with Apple products I LOVE the guided access to lock them into an app. Our iPad is a shared family iPad. MH has his email on it and his FB. S has gotten in those before not knowing what she’s doing and accidentally posted on FB. |

We were out in the front yard when all of a sudden all these cars started seemingly detouring down our street (we are one back from the main road). After a few minutes, we walked down to the corner to see all these police cars, etc. Come to find a utility poll randomly snapped in half, blocking the main road and of course killing power to the whole neighborhood.
The children are realizing how much we use electricity for. They are not amused. 😂
ETA: FFFC I’m kind of hoping it stays out for a while so I have the perfect excuse to get take-out.

I have an iPad and a kindle fire for L. The iPad is what we use for school because it’s easier. We use the kindle for games and movies

I’m struggling with my anxiety. And I am pretty sure it’s directly related to my caffeine consumption. So I’ve only had a half a soda today. I’m sure the craziness going on now and being stuck at home with S and MH isn’t helping. I am going to try to only have 1 a day and see if that helps. I’ve been killing it in the home organization these days. It’s amazing what you can get done when you can’t go anywhere. I’m not going to get to flamingo level with ironing placemats or anything, but am happy to knock out some things that have been lingering! |

My firm laid off 70% of our employees in the Houston office this week. I spoke to several of my friends yesterday and they were devastated. This is so awful. I'm so sorry. 😔 |

Colin's spring vacation is still on, which I am a bit surprised about, since their distance learning program didn't kickoff until their second week home and they more or less had an early break already. We're going to try to schedule some light reading, writing and educational apps in since he's hit a stride (to some extent) with getting his daily assignments done.

Thanks for birthday wishes for H! Dh took the day off which is great, since all H wants is to play with him. I’m finishing up schoolwork with N while the boys are playing in the basement. Letting H be in charge of the day might have been a mistake... he requested Culver’s for lunch and pizza for dinner. Plus cinnamon rolls for breakfast and the cake I made for later... oof i think we’ll all gain 5 lbs by the end of the day! Here’s the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting per the bday boy’s request  |

slenle Happy birthday to H! Love the cake. cagoldi We use iPads, too. I tried to get the kindles another run earlier in the year, and they are just too slow and not as user friendly. Maybe a cheap chrome book would be better for him since he normally doesn’t get a lot of screen time and it will probably be useful in a couple of years school-wise anyway. M uses my MacBook for everything school related right now. flamingo Yikes. Hope you get some yummy takeout! lfig I have been productive around the house, too! Nothing too crazy either, just finally purging and organizing the bigger projects. Getting it all together makes me want to spend money on new things for the house. I’m trying to be good just in case things go left at some point for us.

C uses our iPad cagoldi but it’s old and cracked so we got a chromebook from school. I hate it. I have a surface pro from work and that’s been great. I could never figure out the kindle and it was so slow. |

IDK how you’re all getting so much done around the house. X and P are still very dependent and I am under at least one baby at all times.
I got a few fun things for the house like some big Montessori felt wall scenes as Easter gifts and I hope those buy me five minutes of peace on occasion.
It’s been weeks since I have bathed alone. 😂

Thanks for the input, ladies. I have a Surface Pro for my school work and love it. That’s way more money than I want to spend though.
Maybe I will email his teacher on Monday and see if they still have any Chromebooks to loan out for the time being.
iPads seem great but I also don’t feel like I can justify that expense ATM.
