I am so bummed that we won't be seeing family. The past 3 years, I did a nice dinner for our parents and my sister. My mom told me a few weeks ago that it is on if her favorite days.
H did get some egg dying kits and I ordered basket stuff for everyone. Even some stuff for my husband. Now, just hoping that everything will get here in time.

We should of done a basket thread a few weeks ago because I was struggling. H said that he would pick up candy, but I just found candy from last Easter in the pantry. 🙄

I may have gone a little overboard to compensate for the fact we won’t be having our typical family celebration. I’m sure we’ll have leftover candy next year in our pantry just like you described klw.

I have some candy and toys for their easter baskets that I got before all of this and plastic eggs so we can do an Easter egg hunt but I didn’t even think about dying eggs until yesterday. So that will probably be skipped. I’m bummed that we can’t even see our family in town but it’s not worth the risk. We typically go to my in laws’ church for Easter and they always have wonderful sermons so I’m bummed about missing that, too.

bananas22, most/many churches are streaming their services, if you wanted to passively participate!

bananas22, most/many churches are streaming their services, if you wanted to passively participate! I doubt theirs will but we will most likely be watching our church’s service. They have always streamed theirs so it’s nothing new for them.

I got stuff for their Easter baskets couple weeks ago. We will do an Easter egg hunt here and FT with our parents while we eat. We’ll color eggs at some point this week.

I ordered a cookie kit from a local baker with stuff to decorate sugar cookies. Other than that, I'll be filling L's Easter basket with toys we had put away in his closet when we organized his playroom. My dad is sending him a couple of small new things to add to the basket, but I know L won't know the difference.

According to my emails, every thing will be here by Friday. And I found gift cards for Buy buy baby and Michaels that I ended up using. So for H, she's getting new sippy cups, her night time lotion and a puddle jumper for the pool in her basket. From Michaels, I ordered both girls a beanie boo. Matching since H wants everything that her big sister has. 🙄

I don't think we are going to do anything. I didn't have it together enough to buy baskets for the boys and the weather is supposed to be cold and snowy. My mom did send them a small gift that is coming Friday and they are doing some fun activities at daycare. That's good enough for me.

I just looked through what I had set aside for baskets for each of them while I was on a conference call I have a lego set for DD, and a duplo set for DS, art supplies and a golden book for each, and a couple silly toys. My mom sent me a box at the beginning of quarantine, and I've been saving the stuff since then! We're making cookies tomorrow, and eating ham and ribs this weekend. We'll also dye eggs, but eggs are somewhat hard to come by here, so we're blowing out the insides of the ones we are dying so we can eat them scrambled, since hard boiled probably won't be eaten.

potatocakes hard boiled eggs don't go to waste here. When DH was trying to lose weight, he started eating 2 eggs and an egg white for breakfast every day. Then I eat them in my salad most days. We were nervous because we like the quality (and price) of eggs at Costco. They were limited to a pack per customer. Last week, when H went they said it was 4 packs

Last week, when H went they said it was 4 packs We usually buy two x2 dozen each week at Costco, and we're still limited to 1 here - we've been getting extra from our produce box, but especially with baking and everything, we're going through eggs quickly, so we need to be sure to eat the ones we dye!
