MH just sent me a video of Cass. She learned to ride a bike today! We talked about taking her training wheels off since we have time with Rona. But she just took off and is riding! Bike rides are going to be so much easier once she has a little more practice down. So proud of her. That’s awesome!

Go Cass! inthekitty I think it's super motivating for them to have an older sibling who can ride. C has picked certain things up so quickly, I think largely b/c she wants to keep up with B. eta: also took me a minute to figure out 'Rona'...I was like, is that a new nickname for M?? Nice trtlcrzy ! You definitely deserve to put your feet up tonight.

Currently eating Oreos and watching Hunger Games. DH is studying for his next exam.
We had a nice afternoon; the weather was really pretty so the kids spent several hours outside. DH and I mostly sat on the porch and read and had our afternoon cocktails out there. The kids took early baths and by 6:40 C was asking to go to bed. Well, be my guest!

So it's not even warm yet and the mosquitoes and gnats are awful. We finally pulled the trigger on a bat box, now that delivery is taking 3 weeks. It'll still be better late than never.

Big week coming up for us. It includes a lot of attempting to work at home, attempting to satisfy and entertain my child, and attempting to not strangle MH.
But Tuesday we have a telephone appointment with Sierra’s neurologist. I’m glad to get to talk to her because I have some things I’ve been wanting to address and had been waiting for her appointment...then all this craziness happened.

No baby making in this household though. Instead I might take up The MS state head football coach just got a lot of heat for posting this very pic. That noose is very triggering. In that pic she also was not making that for her husband.

Bats eat literally thousands of mosquitoes a night. A couple coworkers suggested we get one last summer but DH didn't seem into the idea. He has no recollection of that conversation, i.e., he was tuning me out. He's all in now.

You can see them flying around as soon as it gets dark outside. Do I need a bat box to keep them around my yard? How many bats would this attract? Do i have to feed them? Will they flock to me like the bird woman in Home Alone 2?

Depending on the size of the box and the amount of tasty bugs you have will determine how many stay there. The only thing you have to worry about is bat guano

inthekitty we call it The Rona also. The diarrhea side effect is called diarrona. I tend to shorten or make nicknames up a lot. I see we are on the same page.
