Hiiiiiii. I'm so glad it's the weekend. The boys are still in PJs and want nothing more than to play on their Kindles. I have a bunch of chores to do but after running and cutting back some bushes this morning, I need a bit of a break. DH wants to get the grocery shopping done but somehow can't go unless I make the list, but at least he's willing to go. I have no desire. The idea of cleaning 2 more bathrooms, vacuuming the house, and cleaning up all that brush I trimmed earlier is already enough for me.

I want to do something fun with the boys since I know being cooped up has been tough on them. No real plans yet.

Morning. I slept terrible again, I’ve never had nightly wake-ups, now it’s almost every night, it’s driving me bat shit crazy. It is four and I’m bored. They’re advising against going outside to parks nature etc. So off course we’re abiding, but men... hope all of your girls are sane & healthy & have mimosas and/or snacks close by!

Zoom tap over here in an hour and then more of the same— tv, baking, games and cleaning.
I wish I had soil and flowers. I’d love to do my front pots and back window boxes.
We’re not mulching until the end of the month/beginning of May, and the old stuff just looks old and terrible.

I get to work from home today. I only have a few must-dos so it will be a light day. I'll see if I can convince my family to walk to the sound.

Morning! I somehow talked Dh into deep cleaning the house with me today. I should take bets on how long he lasts. I figured if we’re stuck at home and it’s too cold to go outside, might as well be productive. I’m putting L down for a nap and then I’m going to see how scary it is to clean under the couch 😱

Same old/same old here today. DH is flying this morning. It’s chilly but sunny so at least we can get the kids out for a bit later. They’re currently running amok while I get the beds made. We might take a drive just to get out of the house.

On a funny note, C is now ‘Elsa!’ (Yes, must include the !) and she has dubbed B ‘Kristoff’, and refers to him that way. Never fails to crack me up.

Morning! I just finished my “paper” for this weeks homework. It was creating a work breakdown structure so not a normal paper. I just have my test to do. I need to work on laundry and dishes and clean more things as well.

L has some school work to do so we will do that. We have decided to do a little school work each day so I don’t stress about it as much during my work week.

Hey. Today feels like every other day except that DH is home. He claims he is going to finally paint the wall above the stairs but I’ll believe it when I see it. It’s going to warm up a bit outside but not significantly.

Hello! We are having a surprise zoom party for L later with my family. They all dropped her gifts on the porch so MH is going to take her for a walk later and C and I will decorate, get the gifts out, get the laptop ready, ect. Hopefully she's excited.

It's Saturday and we aren't doing anything. Cadence is closed up in my room "babysitting" the kitten.

It's cold and dreary and miserable.

L’s Easter gift came in today!! It’s in German but he’s going to love them.

Hi hi - I went for a long walk with k earlier, which was nice. J is working on a comic book story about his puppy, and I'm hoping to get the sewing machine out later to make some masks. Hoarding quilting supplies for years is coming in handy!

I think we will try to do sleep training tonight, I'm struggling with her being up so much. I did a zoom with middle school friends last night and it was so nice to catch up, highly recommend setting one up!

In depressing news, that Kennedy family death in a canoe took place around here and she worked at my school, so got an email this morning. 2020 is just really piling on. I didn't know her, but I know the bay well enough and it was so windy the other day, how scary for her and her son💔

tallb I saw that about the Kennedys. Sometimes I think they are cursed...sins of the father (Joe) and all that. But what were they thinking going out in a canoe on the bay? I read they were trying to retrieve a ball. It was so windy here (same bay), DH couldn't fly. So tragic for the remaining family members. I'm sorry for your school community.

We ended up all the way in Williamsburg b/c one of DH's coworkers texted that the Trader Joe's there had TP, and we were getting perilously low...have not been able to find it here in 3+ weeks. DH had to stand in line--they were only letting customers in a few at a time--but was successful.

After that we went to Yorktown and drove around the battlefield and various sites from the Revolutionary War encampment there. The museum was closed, obviously, but all the trails were open and drivable, so we never had to get out of the car and could still read the signs and markers. You can also drive through the original town of Yorktown, where there are a quite a few buildings dating back to the early 1700s. Several of the homes we saw are still occupied as private residences. So we all got a little history lesson and B will have something interesting to write in his journal for school this week, ha.

We really had no idea you could do so much via car. It's a huge spread of land and I knew there were hiking/biking trails, but everything was pretty accessible. Some of the roads we drove were the same ones (now paved) that the armies would have used. Pretty cool.

I figured out how to set up a Jeopardy quiz so we did one today. They loved it. It was a lot of fun.

Went on a nice bike ride/walk on my favorite path. Now just relaxing.

So much yard work! We also played outside and chatted with some neighbors from a distance. I still need to vacuum but pretty much everything else is done(ish). It's been a pretty nice day.

I laid on the couch all day. At some point I fell asleep. Dickens has been a trooper all day dealing with Cadence. We've eaten pizza for dinner and now it's just wind down time.
It was a much needed day of absolutely nothing.

We got the main floor deep cleaned today, will work on upstairs tomorrow. Dh and H cleaned the garage and I did a kiwi crate with N. By some miracle, L took two very long naps which helped us be productive.

I put together my grocery pick up order for my normal store for tomorrow but then saw there were no pickup times until Monday, so I tried instacart for aldi. I placed my order at noon and it was delivered at 1:30 and everything I ordered was in stock. I was impressed!

Now waiting on Dh to get home with sushi take out... because why would we want to cook any of those groceries? L is melting down now because the timing of his long naps didn’t allow for a third nap, so trying to hold him out for at least another 30 minutes before bed time.

The weather was nice so we had lots of outdoor time today. I walked down to my neighbor’s to drop something off and had a nice, loud conservation through her glass door 😂. She is the wedding DD and I are bridesmaids for in May. She finally spoke to someone today at her venue and they gave her a bunch of good options for rescheduling so she’s figuring all that out now.

I’m here. I slept until noon because I didn’t go to sleep until 4am. I was feeling panicky and just couldn’t sleep. We did manage to do a good long family bike ride today so that was helpful in calming me. Hopefully I’ll sleep tonight so I dint waste the day tomorrow.

Hi. Late check in today. I slept in this morning and the weather was a little dreary, so naturally, I wanted to be lazy. I caught up on some shows. M2 bit through both of his pacifiers in less than 24 hours, so today involved a lot of crying for his baba. Tonight should be fun.
