also i had my phone intake appointment. as i suspected it was not a great use of time. and i still don’t have an ultrasound scheduled. the np was like we’ll have the scheduler contact you for an appointment. i just want something to look forward to.

Ugh, polson. I’m sorry they aren’t getting your ultrasound scheduled. Is this because of the Covid stuff or are they normally slow to get appointments started? I’ve been holding my breath thinking that my appointment next week will get canceled.

i think it’s just covid. i’ve never had problems with them before. i’m just getting impatient - this isn’t going to feel real to me until i can hear a heartbeat.

I’m having insurance issues with my zofran and it’s so frustrating. I’ve got about 10 days worth of pills and cannot get anymore covered by my insurance for 67 days.
Helpful!

katespade yikes! that’s horrible. have you tried the unisom b6 combo? i’m guessing not as effective as the zofran though. hopefully it gets sorted soon.

Unison/B6 just makes me sleepy- does literally nothing to help. Does not stop me from vomiting everything I try to eat or drink. I’ve lost a little over 10 pounds from being so sick.

I'm on reglan, a suppository, and diglegis. I can't stand the side effects but they don't want to give me zofran. I have some and I'm taking them anyway. Dngaf I'm still puking but feel better
I go to an appt tomorrow

I haven’t with this pregnancy. I did with DD and I’ve used it to try to deal with nausea that I’ve gotten from migraines. It was mediocre. I’m doing okay today with just the zofran. I haven’t vomited in 2 days but I’m still fairly nauseous, especially in the evening. I just need to get through this time! Trying to focus on getting to my next appointment (on Wednesday) so I can see babe again and get my genetic testing done. I’m so so antsy to know what is cookin in there!

Feeling better today and only puked once. Also had an OB appt. Baby is right on track with beautiful heartbeat. They also approved zofran. So now I do diglegis, reglan, zofran, and pantoprazole. Fx that works well and I keep feeling well. Down 4 lbs as of today's appt. I'm considered high risk and will consult with mfm. Hopefully this is a calm pregnancy though.

The nausea is starting for me. It's mostly been mild, but I had a hard time concentrating at work today due to it.
Has anyone begun shopping for baby items yet? I'm trying to wait until our first appointment (in a month), but I want to shop now!

sarahwithanh like was for heartbeat. i’m sorry you’re not getting any relief with the nausea and puking. this is my first pregnancy with any sort of nausea (haven’t puked though) and you have all my sympathies.

I bought a couple of neutral winter outfits for baby but that’s all. But unless baby is a boy, we won’t really need much this time around.
Will definitely need a new monitor. The one we had with DD was awful.

I haven’t bought anything yet. We will need a bassinet of some sort, a swing, and car seat. If we have a boy then we’ll need some new clothes. Otherwise we just need to paint the nursery but DD2 is still in there so that might not happen until after baby is born. I probably won’t actually start shopping for a while.

i thought my nausea was letting up because i felt great when i woke up. by 9 it was back and i after thinking about it that seems to be when it hits me everyday - mid to late morning. i’m 9 weeks so i’m hoping there’s not much more of this. also have a headache. my nails are crap. like splitting and breaking. i would think the prenatals would be making them stronger. i don’t remember this happening before.
the easter hangover isn’t too bad today. i need to try and not have any candy today though. i’m dreading my first weigh in.

I had an ultrasound today and everything was perfect! The sonographer was phenomenal, knew my loss history, went straight to vaginal scan instead of bothering with abdominal. She immediately told me “baby with a heartbeat” as soon as she saw it. HB was 130 which is great. They moved my due date again so now it’s 12/1. I’m very whatever about that part because I cook babies a long time so I expect to give birth mid December. I’m very relieved by the appointment and the NP said for some patients they will follow ACOG’s recommended schedule but for me, they will not. I go back in 4 weeks.

I was doing a little better and then Saturday hit me like a pile of bricks and I was SO sick. Which then rolled over into yesterday and I was a wreck. Today is better so far. Mine really hits me most now in the evenings. I keep hoping it’ll just let up- I’m 10+1 today and ready for this part to be over!

i’m waiting until friday and then i’m calling to see if i can get an appointment. i know they told me a scheduler will contact me and i’m sure they’re short staffed, but by then it will be almost 2 weeks since my intake and i’m getting impatient.

i feel like an idiot. i’m pretty sure my nausea is directly related to my prenatal. decided to skip it this morning and take it tonight and sure enough i’ve felt fine all day.🤦♀️ it’ll take a few days to be sure, but i totally forgot i took them at night last time for this reason.
