I emailed our governor last night about the decision to close schools thru the end of the year. I just think it’s premature and seems like a knee-jerk reaction.
FTR, if that’s what needs to happen, fine; but that’s 3 months away (for us), no one can predict what this all will look like by then. I think most people are ok with taking this in 2-4 week chunks.

We are in a stay at home order until the 13th, which is when the schools are saying as well now. I guess I need to get all the Easter stuff ordered. The Easter Bunny can't catch corona.

Does anyone do gel nails at home? Is there something I can buy to do my own? I have the skill set of a 7 year old. I bought nail supplies last night when I went to the grocery. My mood has taken a HUGE hit the last 2 days because my nails are awful. I just got regular polish. It'll due until they open. I'll do them tonight hopefully.

I used to do mine myself. It's just like painting your nails, except multiple coats and the lamp. Look on Groupon, they used to have discounts on the light with polish for good prices. Thanks! I’ll check it out. I should have clarified, I can barely polish my nails. They look atrocious if I do them. I guess this is going to be the skill I learn for the next couple of months. Same. I watched some youtube videos with tips lol.

To me, whatever the states do, it makes most sense to keep the school closures and stay-at-home orders in congruence. It doesn't do much to keep the kids home if everyone else is still out and about.

Our easter bunny shopped last night when I got groceries. I already had a few things since I over bought at Christmas. But I got candy, books, kites and a few little Lego kits.

Just finished payroll deposits. I grabbed drive thru lunch and the boys ate while I ran to all the banks. Mj was asleep but woke up and is happy. Hopefully I can get home before she loses it. Its 60 degrees! So we're going to take bikes down to the flat part of our drive way when we get home and burn energy! I need to put all the attachments back on the tricycle so I can push mj in it.

I completely agree. I think KS was one of the first to close for the rest of the school year. Our school year ends the middle of May, so it likely would have happened anyway, but I would have been fine with updates every few weeks, kind of like the Stay Home orders. I think it finally hit Evie yesterday. I can't remember what we were talking about, but she asked me if that was her last day of school, before she left for Spring Break. I told her yes and said she'd be in 1st grade when she goes back. She was sad and then told me she was nervous for 1st grade. I told her that was awhile away.

I watched some youtube videos with tips lol. I promise you can both do it! Just use orange sticks to get rid of any excess polish that gets on your skin and leave a slight gab at the base of your nail bed, and it will look professionally done. I know we all discussed nail strips awhile ago, I can send samples if you'd want to try those also. But you ladies can totally paint your own nails!

I’ve heard our governor will be giving stay at home orders today. I picked up Ns school work this morning and dropped off her library books and bus tag, which made it feel official. They haven’t given any dates as to when they might return, but i assume they won’t. They sent home weekly class packets through 4/17, but I assume we’ll just pick up another bag after that.

Day 3 of a 7 minute workout, plus some kind of cardio. I'm still eating like shit, but at least I feel a little more normal by getting exercise in. More than usual since I don't usually do anything besides cardio due to time restrictions in the office.
How is everyone else doing?

To be clear y'all, I don't live in Oklahoma. That's just where my sister teaches and her kids go to school. I was confused.. Just pushed our state to 4/24. I won't be surprised if it gets called for the year, but smaller increments is better for me I think to process..sounds like some sort of eLearning is happening too,

guster I am the same in regards to nails. I just went to a nail strip party a few weeks ago and it's super easy! It felt good to have my nails look pretty! I ordered several packs and it wasn't too $$$. I am about to go nuts already with this child being home while I am trying to work. The babysitter volunteered to watch her but I want to wait the full 2 weeks since we have been traveling. I don't want to pass anything on if we were exposed. S is destroying the house. I am making cookies while working. MH is out in the garage working on installing some new equipment in his patrol vehicle. I have a ton of shows to catch up on from vacation last week. So I am hoping that MH and S will conk out early tonight and I can induldge in mindless television.

I also need to figure out something for S. She has been spitting out her drinks...like letting it just roll out of her mouth. She sucks it up and then lets it run. I feel like it is 1000% a behavioral thing and sensory related. I am just not sure how to get her to quit! I have moved to just water (the pineapple juice she was drinking left a REALLLLLY sticky mess), I have tried different cups. I have even cut back on just letting her walk around with the cup all day. I have limited her to just small periods here and there. But I don't want to to be thirsty or dehydrated. Especially with her infusion next week...she need to be well hydrated. She likes to play in the liquid after she spits it out. She has done this for a while...it is just suddenly getting worse. And when I don't give her a drink she will just spit her own saliva out to smear around. It's gross! And I feel like she has some sort of sensory need with this...I just don't know what! Is it oral? is it that she wants to just play in it? I don't know. I have talked to her OT and Speech therapists about it before and they didn't really have any advice to offer that I wasn't already trying. But it is about to make me crazy! Whew...sorry...that got long. But I needed to vent my frustrations!

They chip down to nothing.

Ok. I can deal with the kids. It's the husband that's driving me crazy. Go do some schoolwork. I've got work to do. He tried to fix a leaky faucet and broke our sink. Will probably cost $600 to repair.

We haven’t heard whether we are out of school past March 31st, which is weird given there are over 30,000 cases in NY state and around 1,000 in my county. It would make sense for the areas with the large outbreaks to cancel the rest of this school year. But places like Oklahoma and Ohio didn’t have that many cases. They might be able to knock it out in a few weeks.
I’m starting to feel paranoid about everything I’ve done or touched in the last two weeks. MH thinks I’m just worrying but today i feel very off.

I accidentally shut down my work computer remotely, so now I can't access the server. I can still get my emails, but I won't be able to input my billing. I may try to run to the office to turn it back on at some point.

Yeah, over here in WA SIP just started today. Initially school was only cancelled for 2 counties, although when they eventually extended it statewide it was 6 weeks. Overall we've been slow to respond and the cases are exploding.

Oh my god. He's milking this so fucking bad I'm about to kick him and make it hurt for real. I have 2 c sections and didn't complain this much!! The incisions are so tiny they dont even glue or stitch them. They just close up. Give me a freaking break.
