Anyone want to list tips or tricks? I work full time but bc DH is essential (and likely working crazy OT soon), I am now a full time SAHM and solo parent. I’m also usually a “get it of the house” type of parent. We’ve been doing a lot of kinetic sand, scootering, and sidewalk chalk. ...and SO MUCH tv 😬. I think it will be helpful for us to start having a loose schedule but I help early don’t even know how to start at this point. I’m thinking:
630am: I get up, shower, get dressed make coffee 730am: both girls up and dressed 8: breakfast 9: play room 10:30: outside time with “fun” activity like painting or play dough 12: lunch 1: DD2 down for nap, DD1 iPad time 230: structured activity like baking cookies, 330: eat snack outside, scooter/bike/sidewalk chalk 5: movie while I make dinner 6: dinner 7: bath 730: bed
How are y’all doing?

I SAH and honestly it’s easier for me not having to get DS (4) up for school anymore (FFTC). I don’t follow a schedule beyond bedtime at 7-7:30 pm. There’s a lot of free play and hanging in the yard. I don’t do screen time daily (specific to DS’s behaviour after, not a holier than thou way). I feel guilty I don’t do enough with them but day to day tasks consume the whole day it feels like. DD loves baths so I put her in the tub a few times a day sometimes. I’ve also been making silly movies with DS on iMovie, it’s becoming our thing. Other than that, lots of reading, cooking/baking and throwing snacks at them I’m impressed by your schedule Leaf 🌱!

Hi!
We don’t really follow a schedule and a lot of tv has been watched. 😬
I wish we could go outside but it’s been really cold the last couple weeks and there’s still a foot of snow everywhere.
Mine have both been really good about staying at home. We start the mornings off slow, and usually after lunch is when I’ll do organized activities. A still naps which is nice but I’ve instigated quiet time for my 4 year old just to give him ( and me) a break. We’ve done a fair bit of crafting. I’ve taken to putting on a movie and then doing a craft that relates to the movie. We put most of them up in the window so people walking by can see.

With two of my bigs doing school at home we have a pretty firm schedule. He tags along and we make sure to get outside before lunch and dinner. I try to involve him in as much of their work as I can, but sometimes that just means their literacy lessons are time he does play dough bc I need to focus. They read to him for part of their quiet reading which helps me and makes him feel seen. It’s hard not going anywhere, but I am finding they’re all doing better than I expected.
