guster I read too fast before and apparently skipped the part about your dad, I’m sorry. Today must be very hard. Big hugs.

Thanks everybody! It definitely feels good to have something decided on and not have to stress about it anymore.
I will post some pics in the Private board if someone can PM or text me the password, lol. I have it saved on my laptop but not in my phone, for some reason.

My period hit with a vengeance today. Movement is in place to start teleworking 1 day a week next week. It's a start. May be more in the future. If you need a laugh: The other day Madison grabbed my face and said, "When I grow up and become Dr. Pimple Popper, if you're still alive, I'm going to cut that pimple off your face." I again told her what she's referring to is not a pimple, but a mole/beauty mark. She let me know she didn't care and get ready for it to go. I loved the "if I'm alive" part.

Mh officially will be home tomorrow..which will be interesting, but glad to have reduced exposure.
My dad randomly stopped by at lunch time and clearly he is not understanding the severity of this, since he was coming from something for work. Also witnessed a hot mess of a house🤷. I was pretty sad after since I had to tell j he couldn't give him a hug and had to just wave. Crazy just two weeks ago he was holding k at dinner.

guster thinking of you. Funny you mention the Entemanns, my MIL always wanted to bring dessert to holidays and always brought Entemanns stuff. I found it weird because she was a really good cook/baker. Now I usually bake something homemade but there is always also and Entemanns chocolate cake in her honor at all holidays.

We made everyone watch Frozen 2 last night, even DS1 (who was not happy about it). This morning was crazy again with everything. I still haven’t finished T’s work for the day because I spent nap calling students that haven’t shown any sign of doing work yet. I had a team video chat followed by an IEP meeting on video chat with a translator on the phone, followed by a K class video chat for T that took all morning. On the plus, I have been doing BBM and the treadmill everyday and avoiding snacks for fear of running out so maybe I will finally loose some weight.

My work told us today basically you have to keep working, seeing patients in precautions, ect or take PTO. But "Don't worry, we are making a coverage plan for when you all start getting sick". Cool.
ETA: the children's hospital I work in is basically where all the COVID patients, including adults, are being treated.

Congrats flamingo !!! What a relief. Was it the one you had been considering? Yes! It really just lined up perfectly. They are also a Navy family (my husband actually worked with the guy briefly years back), heading to the west coast this summer, and our realtor is good friends with their realtor, hence knowing about it early. Checked almost all of our boxes, in a section of our old neighborhood that we absolutely loved. Apparently the street has tons of kids and the moms all sit outside in the driveways in the afternoon and let them play. Especially with everything going on right now and not knowing what the real estate market will do, it's nice knowing we are done looking.

wineallthetime I hope you all have sufficient inventory of PPE and that you don't end up working with anyone who has been in contact with it. I can't imagine how scary it is to work in the health field right now. I was thinking today about funerals. Random, I know. If gatherings are limited to less than 10 people, what are families doing that have a loved one pass away during this time? How devastating to have to limit to the amount of people who get to pay their respects. Day 1 of WFH went fine. I did not get enough done. I took a walk to get out of the house. Then ran to the store quick...I was thinking of casseroles I needed to have stuff on hand for, if we get put on lockdown. Just things that make a lot of leftovers. So tonight is lasagna, tomorrow is chili. The store was busier than should have been for noon in my little town and many shelves were empty or low stock. I have an interview tomorrow. I'm really surprised this company still wants to talk to me during all this. I know I'm only meeting 1 person and a guy from the UK is calling in. I'd like to postpone, but who knows to when. So I guess I'll just get it overwith and hope the guy understands not shaking my hand. If he doesn't, not a place I want to work.

I was so lazy today. Basically a couch potato. I’ll be so glad to go to work tomorrow. It’s also my weekend to work, so I’m cool with that after being home for three days.
Our governor closed all schools through April 17 for now. Kids will go back Apr. 20th. Sure, Jan.

Hi. Day 4 of homeschooling today and Day 9 of being off of work. We are taking things seriously over here. Nobody in our house except us. We are not taking the kids anywhere at this point except outside to play. We are only leaving to hit up the grocery store. The cases are doubling daily in my county though.
We did play with some neighbors outside yesterday. I kept my distance from the adults and we tried to keep the kids from touching but that didn’t really work.
I miss work. I enjoyed my colleagues and miss the interaction.

All adults and kids will be on the unit in the children's hospital 😭

My sister’s FIL passed right before all of this ramped up and the service was supposed to be last Friday. I believe they ended up having the burial with just close family and then let everyone know they will hold a memorial service when things calm down.

A lot of people kind of do that anyway, esp if family is far-flung and can’t get into town in time (or up north where ground freezes). We have family friends whose daughter is supposed to get married this weekend. Not sure what is happening but I feel badly for them. I’d probably go ahead and get married in the backyard or whatever and then reschedule the reception for later.
