We have a small birthday party tomorrow. It's an outdoor nerf war. Whole point is to stay away from each other so we're going. That'll probably be it for a while as far as social activities though. I might take them to the more isolated parks around. But I've been deep cleaning the basement. I'll be done today. They have big wheels and peddle tractors, a small basketball hoop and farm toys down there. That way they can run and burn energy when its muddy/cold. We'll go on lots of golf cart rides and go play at my moms.
Wednesday is my grandma's birthday so unless its stated that we shouldn't, we'll be going to her favorite restaurant.

I bought making bread supplies... my kids do this every day/week at school and if schools are closing I want to sort of keep them in a routine š¤·š¼āāļø.

MH: we need a gun, knives, a bag of food and blankets if we need to flee, 3 first aid kits, a room full of canned goods and we need to learn how to make our own bread ... Lol at making bread Right? He has recipes written out and I'm like, uh....sure....

I'm all about making bread because it could be fun! But we have literally never made bread and have a plenty of bread and food. He's not trying to stay in routine or doing something for fun. He legit is thinking we will be hunting for food outside or something while fighting people breaking into our house trying to get to our supplies

Our management committee met yesterday. They basically said is you catch corona or have to take care of someone with corona, you can use FMLA time. No working from home. With the schools being closed, you can use sick time. Great, I have 10 hours of sick time....

Morning btw . It is just to weird this all. Not knowing what next week will bring is so strange. In anticipation of the possibility unnecessary stores closing next week, we picked up some last minute things for the kids rooms. Iām mean if school are going to be closed (not an option for now) itāll be nice if the kids have a space they can retreat to to play., even if it doesnāt have curtains yet . We figured weād hit the garden centre tomorrow, to spruce up the garden a little, get some new sand for the sandbox etc.

I love making bread.
Itās rainy here though, so not sure how well it would rise with this weather?
Organizing the pantry, reading, going for a walk, and washing all the bedding are on my agenda. The kids are at Peteās. I think his plan is to stay here pretty much all day while the kids are off school. Iām not thrilled about that much togetherness, but we have been working really well together the last few weeks so thatās promising.
Iām excited to have so much time with the kids, but not thrilled about having to try to work while theyāre here. Times like this I really, really wish we had a yard.
Heavily considering calling a local rescue to ask about this seven year-old fluffy, white lap cat they had at Petsmart. Maybe this is good time to let a new furry family member get settled in with us.

cagoldi do you have one of those drawers under your oven? You can let it rise there. Or maybe even at a really low temperature in the oven š¤? ETA and I feel you at the yard we have 200sqft, itās enough for a kiddy pool and to sit and eat in, but thatās about it.

Wow. tgrimes wow. We just got an email that our county is closing schools for two weeks. Waiting to hear what the daycare will do. Yesterday MH got direction from the higher ups and employees are still expected to go in to work and prepare for next semester. Whatever that means.

Iād go back and forth too about social things. We are going to dinner at my parents tonight and I left it up to my mom to decide since she is on immunosuppressants. She wants to see us and thinks it will be the last time for a while so we are going.
My dad and I went to target this morning and I bought a couple new board games and crafts to help keep C busy next week.

Hi hi! Weāre trying to limit anything we donāt deem as essential. Weāll go outside to play and go on walks, etc, but nothing social for a while. I donāt think Iāll have to go to the store until weāre out of berries (the kids go through them so quickly!!). Everything is canceled but for some reason swimming lessons are still on. We wonāt go to those though.

MH: we need a gun, knives, a bag of food and blankets if we need to flee, 3 first aid kits, a room full of canned goods and we need to learn how to make our own bread ... Lord, we married the same man. My husband is the most extra. š¤¦āāļø He went shopping yesterday and amongst $300 worth of groceries got 3 blocks of Tillamook cheese and a bunch of canned food that was like some nasty beef medley stuff. *shudders* I wondered if he forgot I'm a semi-vegetarian and haven't eaten beef or pork since I was 11. I'm actually excited to make my own bread though. Yum.

I need produce but don't want to step foot in a store. I woke at at 0100 last night and tried to shop. Our 24 hr Winco and Walmart were closed. š
I might try the Farmer's Market. Open space, plus it's snowing here (it never ever snows this late in the year) so I'm sure the weather is keeping people away.

Targets $ Spot had some great crafts. The line went quickly. It was because hey had toilet paper and paper towels and were only letting people in a few at a time so they can control how many each person got. Getting out only took a few minutes. Went to the grocery store and that took a long time. C is going to go to Costco on Monday. We are pretty good. We are using instant potatoes and rice to make meals go farther so we should be ok for awhile

tgrimes sorry your management team is a bunch of assholes. Unfortunately I dont think they are unique in their stance and it's why people don't/cant stay home. I can confirm that people are definitely not staying home here. If anything, I'd say it's the opposite. It was crazy. But we did get everything we need for the table centerpieces and plates, cups, etc.
