I’m home today and tomorrow because my school district is closed for coronavirus cleaning. It’s crazy. But we had two snow days to use up so I’ll take it! The best part: my kids’ school district is open! Amazing. Enjoy your alone time!

guster I am still on the live your life with added cleanliness boat. In the next month I have trips to both NYC and Seattle and I am a bit nervous but not enough to cancel....yet. This is where I am right now but it seems like every day we have new cases added in the county next to ours, so I am cautious.

Someone just tested positive in the town bordering mine. I feel like it's gonna be everywhere in no time. But I think the anticipation is almost worse. Like, let it come already and then pass through. Hopefully people won't get too sick. But I'm so tired of the exhaustive speculation, etc.

This is where we are with Paris in 10 days... the Louvre reopened, so that’s one thing. They say it won’t be more of a risk than going to Amsterdam and I’d do that without thinking twice about it.

It’s not at all reassuring when every article or news story ends with “the elderly and those with compromised Immune systems are at a higher risk.” Okay, so...what do we do if we’re in that group? Getting sick doesn’t scare me, necessarily, but the thought of being in quarantine away from my kids really does. And my IV IG provider called to talk about my meds and say they don’t anticipate disruption in our meds, but likely they will not provide any benefit with this illness. Which makes sense, because the plasma product wouldn’t have any antibodies yet. It is good to see it continues to be a minor threat to children, for the time being at least.

I believe, and base it on not much other than pure speculation, that this has already been in our communities, undetected, for several weeks, and that many people who have felt sick and suspected the flu were actually fighting off the coronavirus.🤷♀️

From October through early January, he was back and forth to the dr like 8 times with various respiratory infections. He was tested for everything and everything kept coming back negative, however, he just kept getting more infections. I truly think he had it and we just didn't know what to look for. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents.

We just got an email from the schools that there is a probable case in our city in an 18 year old who is not affiliated with the schools. The hospital C had his check up with last week had NJ’s first patient admitted the day we were there and the hockey rink DS played in last Saturday had a case the next day. It’s coming for me.

Hey. I ran a bunch of errands while S was at school and it started with the freezing rain about halfway through. I believe it has stopped now though. We’ve just been hanging at home since then. I need to do laundry but my motivation is lacking. I can’t wait for the bachelor tonight. vino and nam2013 I get hormonal acne on my chin and literally nothing makes it go away. I think I have tried every medication and treatment, except that super strong pill that I can’t think of the name of. I just live with it and use a lot of concealer. nam2013 benzoyl peroxide is safe while pregnant, just be careful because it can bleach your towels and pillowcases. Also you did nothing to cause your miscarriage so stop thinking like that.

Cadence had a dentist appointment this morning and I made the executive decision after I dropped her at school that I would skip work and go get my car's oil changed. It took FOREVER. By the time I finished it was time to go pick up Cadence from school. So annoying. Now we are at dance. Their hip hop costumes finally arrived and Cadence's is like 2x too big. She's very embarrassed about it and thinks she just has to accept it. Silly girl.

My friends H is a Dr and according to him in our state where there are no confirmed cases there are crazy regulations to even test. Not sure if there are limited tests or what. I heard of a case locally that came from China in the thick of things, someone got sick and was in the ER. They told them they'd been exposed in China and they still didn't test because they didn't meet the criteria to test.

At this point, when they know that there are community acquired infections, it’s ridiculous not to test anyone who presents with symptoms. I understand there are protocols, but it seems like they don’t want to perform testing that would confirm how widespread it is already is and has been.

The CDC has specific guidelines for testing and came out with their own test kits. That's why it's taken so long to get them out there for labs to use. There's still 5 states that don't have lab testing available yet.

They apparently have the exact time frame when the virus went from animal to human so I don't think it was here in the states last year. I'm not sure if you're reading the long ass coronavirus thread on GD or not, but they discussed this over the last few days. I definitely think it's been here for awhile and some people write it off as the flu or a cold though.

Remember those ridiculously expensive but utterly adorable shoes I got for dd this winter? Well I’ve been stalking marketplace to find second hand ones for next winter and found a barely used pair two sizes up for a third of the price! I found ds a small desk and chair set yesterday for €15 (vintage school one from the sixties) and Dd some cute chairs too!

Yes, I totally get why there was a delay in distributing the tests, but as to why they still haven’t updated guidance on expanded diagnostic criteria is not making sense if they want to halt the spread.🤷♀️

I agree that it's ridiculous, but the CDC is making it difficult to get everyone tested that should/needs to be. In the thread on GD someone said Bill Gates was working on test kits, too. I bet he gets them out faster than the CDC.

I am not currently. What do you recommend? I really like the Kose speedy cleansing oil, followed by CosRX good morning cleanser, or Innisfree blueberry foaming cleanser. I second this. I use the Kose and Cosrx cleanser and I feel like my skin thanks me. I only do it once a day- at night- and I can tell my skin is cleaner. I only use a wet washcloth in the morning. Both are inexpensive and I have had them since October and I still have like a third of each left. Will buy again.
