How is everyone today?

I got some different cold medicine last night and I'm feeling a bit better today, although H told me last night was the 2nd night in a row I've woken him up at 3am from coughing and he thinks I need to go to the doctor. I'm going to see how I feel later in the day, if I'm not feeling better, I'll stop by the walk in clinic on my way home to appease him.

We have 30 visitors from 1 customer coming in today. Stupid. Granted, they're our largest customer, but this is just a big dog and pony show, spending money like we are made of it. My boss and I ran and grabbed cookies from the store and coffee from Starbucks for all these people. I will likely have my door closed most of the day because I have a feeling it will be loud. AND I had to dress up, instead of my normal jeans.

Boo for having to deal with all that AND have to be dressed uncomfortably on top of it. I don't mind dressing up when I travel for work but I have strong feelings about being made to dress up in my own office. Fortunately all our partners get it and look forward to visiting and wearing their own jeans.

Cadence had an accident at school yesterday. Apparently, she misinterpreted a fart and popped her pants. She told her teacher and quietly changed into her spares. She said she ran to put her dirty clothes in her bag because she didn't want anyone to laugh at her. So, to make her feel better I told her the story of how mh had a show one night and was so drunk he sharted and threw his boxers in a dumpster behind the building and then proceeded to ask his friends for their underwear. She was very delighted with that story.
Then, it happened again at home, so she is getting probiotics and I've told her to take all farts to the bathroom just in case.
She said she couldn't stay home today because she is supposed to be a helper in after care and this will be her last chance because her teacher leaves on Friday. Ok kid.

Office manager is on a rampage. She's already bitched about vacation time and now she's taken away taco Friday. She says we will now have Fellowship Fridays every 2nd Friday of the month, which will involve tacos. Sorry, that sounds religious to me and I won't be attending. I'll buy my own tacos, thanks. This is all because the firm got scammed and lost a large amount of money, and a lot of it was due to her stupidity and not following money wiring protocol. So now shes trying to make up that money, by screwing the staff out of everything. Fun times!

Morning. My morning meeting was cancelled so I blocked my calendar to finish up some test review I do for an industry-related group. I also get to breathe a bit before things get crazy so I'm trying to enjoy it. I talked to Chase's teacher this morning and she promised me that Chase is TRYING really hard to behave. I'm not sure if that's better or worse, ha. He was kind of a terror this morning, which means he's likely NOT getting the 2 stickers needed to get a prize tonight, and he just found out that Colin got his first prize last night. This just may backfire. Sigh...

I posted in FWP that it was my day off, but because of some bad storms overnight that caused damage all over the county, schools and M2s daycare is closed, so the boys are home with me. It’s still wet outside and supposed to rain most of the day. I may end up taking the kids out to a museum or something, but not sure. I checked the movies, but nothing I think M2 will sit still for.

I will probably call to reschedule the guy coming for the kitchen countertops.

Morning. Last night was Ls worst night to date. I maybe accumulated an hour or two of sleep. So of course now he’s tired so I’m stuck under a sleeping baby on the couch. I almost hope he’s coming down with something so there is at least a reason for the madness.

At least we have no plans today so we’ll just lay low, maybe get out for a walk since it’s supposed to be 40.

M woke us up at 11 to tell is he would be sleeping on the couch because he threw up in his bed and it was wet. He got himself wiped up and in clean pjs before waking us lol. A got him settled on the couch and I told him I'd deal with the bed in the morning. Oh.my.god. so much vomit. And of course he was up top so it's a bitch to strip and remake. And it went through all layers of sheets and protectors to the mattress cover.

I also took their tablets away from them indefinitely from them fighting over them and waking MJ up. M lost his mind because apparently this is his worst nightmare. He actually said that lol. So a break from them is definitely needed.

Is it bedtime yet???

I thought he went through that from about 3.5 to 4 months. He’ll be 5 months Sunday and things had been getting better. We’ve been trying to drop the swaddle so I thought that was the issue the first 3 times he woke up, so then I swaddled him... but It did not help.

He has learned to roll both ways and sit up in the last week, so he definitely has a lot going on.

Oh hell nah.  There are exactly zero fits that are allowed at my house for a privilege like the tablet.  Sorry, head for a time out in your room, reset your bad attitude and come out when you're ready to be part of the family in a civilized way.

Can I bitch about Lowe’s? I ordered some vanity lights online Presidents’ Day weekend. I only received one of the two lights I need for the master bath. I paid $38 each. Contacted Lowe’s that day, it was after hours at the vendor, said a shipping label was created for it, ok whatever. A week passed and nothing. So I called them back and since it wasn’t shipped they have to refund me. I still want and need the light. I can reorder it - for $120- but they cannot ship it at the price I ordered it for. RAGE. This was all through text and I meant to call them yesterday about it, but didn’t because I felt like crap with stomach troubles. I get an email today that the refund was processed, so even if I call today, I don’t think it will get me anywhere. MFers.

That has not been working so now they live on top of the fridge. I'm deleting youtube kids and installing some more games and educational apps for whenever they get them back. Which is to be determined.

lahdeedah I'd go in with your receipts and ask to speak to a manager. They should honor that price. Sounds like someone realized they weren't making enough margin and cancelled orders.
