You know what?! He’s doing AWESOME. Hard to believe that 18 months ago we didn’t seem out of the woods with possibly needing tube feedings. He still does take almond milk in a bottle and has a couple pouches a day, but other than that he is pretty closely approximating the diet and intake of a lot of his NT peers. He’s developed enough coordination and strength to eat with a fork and/or spoon for a whole snack or meal if he’s interested enough to do it. Super proud of him. |

Actually that's a good suggestion cagoldi . Maybe a sticker chart with some reward for every x number of good report days. I'll talk about it with DH because just taking things away is clearly not working. Thanks!  |

joelies I am sorry that you still haven't gotten the straight story from the dr about your dad. I hope you get some answers soon. Happy Birthday S trtlcrzy! wineallthetime I don't do much with my hair either. And I always just get all over color. But the person doing it usually seems shocked I don't want to get all fancy with the highlights or bayalage (?sp). I just want to cover my greys! cagoldi way to go X!! Thats great news! We struggle with S being motivated to eat. She can use a fork...but shes not great at it. She prefers to use her hands. Lol. But the motivation isn't there. So we basically have to put the food in her mouth for her. She will eat it that way no problem.

I'm exhausted being back at work. And although I am working in another role for 30 days....I am still also trying to get some things done in my normal job. So I am trying to get my seasonal staff hired and then they just dumped on my that I have to justify my need for the 7 vehicles in my fleet because we are being forced to eliminate 10% of our vehicles this year. So I am hoping to write a good enough justification that one of mine doesn't fall into that 10%!
TW: Child Death ......
A 10 year old girl from Sierra's school died from complications from the flu 2 days ago. It's super sad and scary.

tgrimes I don't have much experience with eczema but definitely with psoriasis. She seems young but I'm sure it's possible, I've read it's more typical to appear around 12-13. Mine started in middle school as just tiny spots on my elbows and knees--almost like warts--and I could use a cream to control it. Didn't need to go on Humira until I was in my 20s. I can't see the pic but you're welcome to text me. Psoriasis can be hereditary, anyone in your families with it? I'd probably take her in, I know there are pediatric dematologists specifically. I've always gone to a general one, though. eta: re: salicylic acid and coal tar, yes that is what is recommended, esp. if it's on the scalp (you'll see those things in shampoo). I had to ramp up in steroid creams over the years as mine got worse; there are definitely some milder OTC things you can use before going on the heavier RX ones. Psoriasis is auto-immune related, as you probably know, not sure if eczema is the same way. I only note that b/c of some of her GI issues, wonder if there is any correlation.

Trucking along here. Taking the girls to STEM night at their school tonight.
I've got sucked into Blind Love. It's so bad/good. I also have never watched the American version of The Office and I'm about 1/3 through it now. Very good. I loved the British version and I feel that this stands on its own. I had no idea Ann from Parks and Rec was in it.

Barnyard is a frat boy tool with his I'm-just-one-of-the-boys-and-don't-want-to-work girl Amber. But yes, Cameron and Lauren are cute together. They seem like they have staying power. Was it a requirement for every dude to be lanky, have more or less the same haircut, and a goatee? They all look more or less the same to me. |

I requested an appointment with the pediatric dentist at the children’s hospital where all of S’s specialists are. They only see medically complex kiddos. So they have to review her file to make that determination. 😂. It’s been 3 business days since I requested. Think they are still combing through her extremely thick files from the numerous specialists sees? I mean, hydrocephalus with 5 brain surgeries, eye surgery, severe sleep apnea, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, not to mention her mystery illness that causes her hands to lose functioning (they are calling it motor neuropathy but they really don’t know what the heck or why the heck it happened). Surely she fits into the medically complex category.

That was the most nerve wracking interview I've been on in a long time. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I need time to digest all the info. But they asked what my salary requirement would be, so I need to figure that out. It would involve travel, so I need to place a number on that since I don't currently travel.
