Good morning. H is off to school, I’ll be taking S to school soon and then I have a PT appt. I need to call and schedule a chiro appt too since I had to cancel last week. After my appt I need to run to the body shop because I got another check from the insurance company that I need to give them and I think they scratched my car so I need to ask about that.

I'm at work. Still can't breathe out of my nose, my ears are clogged and now I'm coughing shit up. Basically, SSDD. Lol.

I’m at work. We signed L up for this LEGO engineering after school program. It runs for 5 weeks. He’s excited.
I’m trying to decide if I want E to start preschool this year or wait until she is potty trained. If she’s potty trained preschool costs the same as DC. If she’s not, then it costs $100 more. What are your thoughts ladies?

tgrimes I hope you feel better soon! chrisy01 I'm cheap so I would wait until she's potty trained. She's still getting the socialization at DC, so I don't see what waiting would hurt. At work, it's cold and rainy today, but I was like a furnace last night in bed, so I just wore a long sleeve light shirt and I'm regretting that decision now.

I'm sorry tgrimes , I hope you feel better soon! chrisy01 What are the differences b/n daycare and preschool at her current age? Would she be doing dramatically different stuff?

Morning!
We're home from speech and a quick trip to the post office. I really need to come up with some meals/grocery list for this week but I'm already in vacation mode and do not want to adult ATM.
Back to my zillow stalking, I guess.

I've got really bad allergies or a cold or something. I woke up at 3 and it took forever to get back to sleep. Didn't help that the kitten wanted to snuggle with my face. Woke up this morning and starting spitting up bile. Fun Fun. Everything seems to be settling now, but I still feel just very blah. Hope you start feeling better soon tgrimes!

chrisy01, for a 2 year old I'd definitely do the cheaper option. I feel like daycare and 2 year old preschool are basically the same thing.

I feel like daycare and 2 year old preschool are basically the same thing. this. unless there is something about the day care you don't like, or some other reason why you would want to move her that make logistics easier, I think at that age it's just the place that she/you are most comfortable with.

Hi!
Fingers crossed, but B used the potty all weekend. He only had 2 or 3 wet pull ups all weekend. He still isn't asking to go, but he at least is staying dry and going when we offer it. We shall see how he is at DC today.
I have decided to move him after this year (June 29) and he has to be potty trained to move into the program, so I am very excited about this.
Well that and he is over 3.5. It's just time.

Morning. tgrimes and klong11 Feel better soon. chrisy01 Agree with everyone else, I would keep her at DC at her age. Let me know how L likes the LEGO stuff. I want him to do one or two LEGO camps this summer if we can swing it. It’s not full day, so I have to figure it out.

It’s my first week day off in a long time. Feels good to just sit at home solo. I have an electrician coming some time this afternoon to do a few things around the house. I have to tidy up before he comes. Other than that, just chilling out and making dinner. I work the rest of this week.

I'm sorry tgrimes , I hope you feel better soon! chrisy01 What are the differences b/n daycare and preschool at her current age? Would she be doing dramatically different stuff? Yes. She’s currently at an in home daycare which does some things with her but not very much. At preschool they do activities and start teaching and they will potty train. Daycare didn’t really help L potty train either

Daycare didn’t really help L potty train either Ohhh, I see where you're coming from. I thought she was in a regular daycare setting. I think if I'm paying I'd want more of a setting with the activities and such. I think it'd be totally fine keeping her in the in home setting for another year if you love it though.

Morning.
My Dad is starting round 3 of chemo today, we're all booked for our trip in April, so of course my Aunt and Mom are on a tear about my Dad not making it that long. My Mom is tellling everyone that his PET scan a couple months ago showed the cancer has spread to his brain and liver, but the doctor didn't tell them that. Even she wasn't claiming that until the last week or so. And she is insisting that the doctor told my Dad he could have a few years if he responds well in order to make them feel better, but that he was not to be taken literally. I've been talking to my brother and he did say that even when he was down there, they seemed to believe the doctors knew more than they were letting on, that they were intentionally keeping things from them. My Mom has a long history of rewriting history and being overly dramatic and borrowing trouble, and I can imagine - assuming my Dad is doing as well as could be expected - her confusing what life with cancer is vs. my Dad being on death's doorstep. And who knows? Maybe she's right? But I can't trust anything that comes from her so how am I supposed to know? I am beyond frustrated. My Mom has been checking in on our April plans right along and suddenly my Aunt calls to tell me what my Mom's been saying and to let me know I need to get down there ASAP... My brother left a message with the doctor to get it straight from the doctor (my parents signed off on sharing my Dad's medical records with us), because we don't know how much to trust my Mom right now. Sorry if this seems like a jumbled mess but that's literally what it feels like. At this point, we're moving forward with our plans and if I need to fly down solo, I will.
I'm actually relieved to be at work. At least I have plenty to keep me busy while waiting to hear back from my brother!
Also on a much lighter note, I'm not sure if I mentioned but I ordered invites for Chase's birthday from Walgreen's yesterday. They were ready for pick-up within a couple hours and as usual, I was able to use a discount code. Totally worth $16.09 (including tax!) to avoid writing our 20 invites by hand. And they came out super nicely too.

joelies, wow. That's so hard. Hard enough to deal with everything, but then to add in not knowing what's the truth and what's exaggerated! I'm glad you and your brother will be able to hear right from the Dr. Sending lots of love to you and your family.
