I have killer heartburn right now and the only med I have in my house is tums. It’s not helping! I ran out of my nexium 2 days ago and I will be picking up more first thing tomorrow. I hope this calms down soon so I can go to bed.

I actually ate some ice cream with dinner and that probably was a contributing factor. I think I’m lactose intolerant right now while I’m pregnant. I did eventually fall asleep after sitting upright on my couch for a while.

So I had my glucose test today and I just got my result on the portal - the result was 89. With my last pregnancy, I was in the 130s. I know with my first pregnancy it was really low, but I feel like this number it way lower than I expected, which makes me wonder if it’s wrong somehow...

Saw my doctor yesterday and got my note for work. I'm officially done!! Woohoo! She also checked my urine and I have some white blood cells, so now I have to bring a sample to the lab to see if I have an infection (I'm thinking I do). I also have some sort of rash on the backs of my hands. It's so itchy I could literally chhop my hands off. It's not anywhere else on my body so we are just keeping an eye on it for now, but omg it is the absolute worst.

sdlaura do you normally have low blood sugar? Or maybe pregnancy is making it lower? I have hypoglycaemia and through monitoring it this time around, it is still quite low. I’m sure your doctor will discuss the results with you next time, right?! Hopefully it’s not a mistake and you don’t have to re-do that horrible drink again! Regardless congrats on passing it 😊

danib congrats!! I’m happy you are done with that stressful high risk job for now 🎉 In regards to the itching, I looked into it earlier on in my pregnancy because I was so itchy on my legs. I couldn’t get comfortable, couldn’t stop scratching. There is this thing called cholestasis which comes on during pregnancy (not really harmful!) but it usually doesn’t have a rash. Good thing your doctor is monitoring the potential infection - wonder if the rash and white blood cells in your urine are connected? Hope you get it figured out, that itching is the worst and it sounds so painful.

Just googled it and cholestasis usually causes itching on the palms and soles of feet, my itching is on the back of my hand and does have a small rash, plus I get my liver checked every few months (because of my autoimmune stuff) so I'm guessing that's probably not it for me. I think she said Pupp rash when we talked about it? I see my OB next week so if any of it worsens I know I'm being seen again soon.

aries I don’t think I’ve had low blood sugar before - but maybe it is a pregnancy thing. Who knows!

There is a soap, I think it’s black tar soap, that’s really supposed to help.

Nope, it was just the non-fasting 1-hour test. I did eat a lower sugar breakfast than normal (eggs instead of cereal) but otherwise didn't do anything special.

danib my sister had pupp with one of her pregnancies. I remember her saying the only thing that helped was scalding hot showers. But hers was all over her body. Hope yours is more benign!

I had pregnancy induced eczema on my legs a little over a month ago and completely understand the crazy itching. I hope you can get some relief! Also, yay for your work note!
