Happy Valentine's day, ladies! MH surprised me with a new dining room light I've been eyeing. We typically just do candy or something so it was definitely a surprise.

Nothing exciting here. We actually went to dinner last night after Evie's conferences, so we will have dinner at home.

wineallthetime you know you're an adult when your husband surprising you with a new light fixture for V-Day is exciting!

Happy Valentine's Day! Last night I asked C if he wanted to buy lunch today and he said it was just too much since he has to be the class leader today, pass out his cards to EVERYONE, go to his last Chess class, and he's taking the bus home. He said his head can't handle it. It really made me stop and think about how things I would not consider a big deal are in their world.

Also ebates/rakuten has a ton of stores with 14% cash back today and since its Presidents day weekend there are a ton of sales.

The kids were up bright and early so we let them open their presents (extended family all sent stuff, too) and then I made muffins for breakfast. DH got me new pjs so now I need to go find him something this morning. I might frame one of our family pics from this summer for his office (since I still haven’t framed/displayed any of them 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Before B heads to school we’re going to play ‘Valentine’s fairy’ and take a treat over to his buddy’s house.

Morning. Happy Valentines Day!

MH and M put some candy and homemade cards in a bag for me to find when I got in the car. I got Mh some candy he likes from Fresh Market- peaches and raspberry pretzels (not real pretzels). I may grab something for the boys in the gift shop here.

Not sure what we have planned for dinner. We usually go out on a Friday, but I doubt we do that because of the holiday. I may just pick up a pizza.

I’m not feeling any worse, just still congested and coughing a bit.

wineallthetime I love that gift! I just put some vanity lights in my Lowe’s cart yesterday and will probably pull the trigger on them today. I need to call the electrician to come out to do some things and he can install those while he’s at it.

Cadence brought home a really pretty laminated valentine she made at school. Turned it over and it's to the cat. 😐

Our schools are closed today so they did the Valentine's party yesterday. S friend's mom dropped off all his loot since he was still home sick. He made me a coaster with a pic of the family on it, it was cute.

This morning S said "Do you have a valentine for us?" ahh no? So I told him yes but he gets it at dinnertime. And off to CVS at lunch I will go!

Morning! The sun is out, finally! Mh was a grouch so not feeling the love exactly with him, but the kids were adorable this morning. I got a few pictures together, so I'm pleased with myself. The office is empty since everyone is working remote, but I'm here and need to prep for some big meetings next week.

Thanks! We took supplies over for Valentine cookies, since our baking playdate didn’t work out. It was so cute, I love surprises like that.

Things have calmed down, I think. She did apologize (can’t remember if I told y’all that) and I think we have patched things up. We’ll see them in a couple weeks so I’m glad things have smoothed over before then.

I drove into work this morning so I could stop at Home Depot at 7.20am to exchange the tub spout. Like, what is my life that I'm at Home Depot at o'dark stupid...
I absolutely love that place though; the retired contractors and trades people eager to help with such a simple question. Anyone trying to duplicate customer service needs to follow them around for training.

vino I love HD, too...anytime we go to Lowe’s we end up wandering looking for help, can’t find anyone, etc. I have always thought HD does a better job with staffing, service, and training.

The vet made Cadence's day by letting her listen to Dicken's heart.

Went and got my blood lab done and now we're eating Subway at 11 in the morning. This is way too early for lunch for me.
