I'm so sorry about poor Charlie guster, i hope all the rest of you can avoid the 'flu! That stinks about the party, it's tough not having 'back up' sometimes. And way to go Miss J, so good to see these little kindergartners doing so well.

We made our V-day cookies this afternoon after B got home from school, then took the kids out to Shake Shack tonight for dinner. B declared his burger "the most delicious in the city!" (lolz) and wanted another one. Horrendous food bills, here we come!
C seems better but just a bit off; she's been kind of emotional, and super picky with food this week, to the point of spitting out things she normally loves (and she's generally a good eater). I'm not sure if her cold is affecting her taste buds or what. Hopefully whatever it is she'll kick it this weekend.

Omg, I love you girls! Thank you for being so ready to throw down! Sorry my post wasn't clear Thankfully things are not as serious as requiring your letters, protests and dick glitter!
But when I am in that situation I'll know just where to turn!

Yes. Ours is the female so we can totally get her fixed. And probably will after she has some. We’d like to keep one or two. And the others will go to my FIL or friends. I’m not sure who the males belong to. None of our neighbors claim them. But they are all very...plump. So they are getting fed somewhere. Probably my back porch when we aren’t home. They always dart off when we pull in the drive or open the door. I know not everyone agrees with this way of life...but around here it is very rural and mice are terrible. So lots of people keep a few cats around as “mousers” or “barn cats”. We never had any because we’ve always been more dog people. But when my husbands brake line had been chewed through we got one. And we’ve had a cat or two ever since. And I have since become a cat person. Lol. Our current cat comes to the back door and meows when she wants in and paws at the door. We let her in and she will mill around the house for an hour or so then go back to the door and meow and paw at it wanting back out. She’s got us trained 😂. And this is her favorite thing to do when she comes in... I definitely see the utility of barn cats for sure. It’s the not having them fixed piece that gets to me. While I disagree with not fixing yours now, I know you will. Meanwhile these boys are out there getting everyone knocked up and then going on their merry way! Cats and people-not so different 😉 Oh I get where you’re coming from. We have always fixed our cats in the past. But sadly due to the nature of having an outside cat, they haven’t typically lasted long. As they get braver they venture out more and wander and then sometimes don’t come back. We had intentions of getting this one fixed when we got her 2 years ago but she wouldn’t let us touch her or even get close to her. Then she got knocked up and when she had kitties she softened...and I forced her to like me 😂 by petting her every day when she wouldn’t leave the kittens. Trying to show her I was an ok person. And I loved having the kitties around but they all went to friends and we were left with none. She still doesn’t enjoy being picked up....and is iffy on being pet. I try to snuggle her but she just doesn’t enjoy it. I got side tracked there...but I get what you are saying. And lolz to your last line.

They’ve never fit me well but I do love the colors. Go for it! I like that they're cheap, since it's a trendy/limiting color, and they have long lengths! Maybe I'll order a couple sizes to try... Their pants are long! I have the rockstar 24 jeggings or something. I kind of want the Moto pants but guess I should be checking out the spring stuff. Keep us posted if you like them! I tend to get a few pieces there each season as basics.

Welp. The teacher is definitely ghosting us. That’s so disappointing. Like I’m really feeling crazy that the person my kid cared so much for, she doesn’t even have the decency to just reply back a simple ‘thanks I will miss him, too!’ Oh MH asked when he picked him up and she got another job, so she just switched jobs.
It’s bizarre and I’m just glad my kid doesn’t really know what’s going on because his feelings would definitely be hurt.

Also my sinus cold is progressing. I don’t feel great, very stuffy. If I’m feeling the same or worse tomorrow, I may go to my pcp.

They catch them, spay/neuter, vaccinate and test for feline leukemia. Then adopt them out as barn cats if they can't be tamed.

wineallthetime ooh boy. What did l say about the whole situation? I'd be pissed. N's class isn't doing anything official but j helped her sign cards today and she's super excited to put them in cubbies tomorrow.. so I bet L knew what was up.

S has not been feeling well still. Not sure what’s going on. She’s been holding her head like maybe a headache. And saying “face” and “nose” when doing so. but her nose doesn’t seem runny or stuffy. So I took her to the dr this afternoon. No ear infection, negative strep test but throat was a little red. Breathing fine, lungs sounded good. But she’s just been not as active as typical, and just...off. Dr said maybe it’s just taking her a bit to bounce back from the stomach bug. But then in Walmart on the way home...she burrowed her head in my arm (I still put her in the kids part of carts) as I pushed the cart. Then started crying out of nowhere and insisted on being held. So I carried my 40lb 6 year old through Walmart while pushing a cart, checked out 1 handed, and the super sweet checker was soooo helpful! I appreciated it! Now we are just chilling with these 5!😳 pooches. Only 2 are ours, MH is training the other 3 because having a full time job, and owning a business on the side isn’t enough... he felt the need to take on one more thing to do “on the side”. It’s too cold out tonight so they are hanging inside with us for the night. There is a cat running around in here somewhere too... just call us crazy, pretty sure I’m not going to sleep through the night. And there will for sure be a fight for the bed.

Our sitter of 5 years wouldn't acknowledge us in public after I started keeping the boys home with me.

lahdeedah have you previously spoken to her via fb? If not then the message could have gone into a separate folder that she hasn't seen yet. Or does it say she read it?

I got her number from the other teacher today and I sent her a text and no response at all. I just thought she was better than that. I mean she came to babysit at my house for us two months ago.

lahdeedah, boo about the teacher. The FB message may be in spam or she may not use messenger much. She may also be overwhelmed with her new job and was trying to get out based on the situation at the old place. I wouldn't take it personally, but I do hope she reaches out. Are you going to start looking to move locations too?

It was a looong day. Charlie has Flu A. Everyone is on Tamiflu. Poor Charlie— he is a trooper, but such a mess in that last 40 minutes to an hour before he needs a repeat Motrin/Tylenol. I have to miss Josie’s party tomorrow bc I have no one to watch him. She’s bummed but trying to be okay with it. I think my co-room mom is having a harder time with it. I also had Josie’s conference this afternoon, and she’s off the charts killing it. I’m so proud of her! They’re doing so many interesting things to enrich the curriculum. Are you rotating Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours?

wineallthetime that’s crappy of the teachers not to check her backpack. lfig not to put this worry in your head but do you think it could be shunt related? I hope not. lahdeedah that sucks that she’s not responding to you.

I hope you start feeling better soon lahdeedah, and I agree she could at least respond to the text, *especially* after sitting for y'all. That's a shame. Come on, preschool teachers of America, get it together! First the darn Valentines, now this! lol. Poor S lfig. So much yuck going around. Hope she is better in the a.m.

Sorry about C guster, hopefully he feels better soon and the rest of you are spared. Feel better lahdeedah, did you just send a text today? I’d give it a couple days, she’s probably busy and maybe feeling awkward about the whole thing. I’ve been know to leave texts for a few days 🤷♀️ Poor S lfig. She needs to catch a break, poor girl

Today was a day. Busy af with appointments, errands and a couple thrown in last minute things that included trying to find a Elsa costume and comic book last minute for the kids Valentines day gifts.
Also trying to replace the tub spout in my shower, as much I love Home Depot it’d be nice to not have to go again to exchange the one that of course doesn’t fit.

lahdeedah That's so sad about the teacher. I know if someone sends a FB message and you aren't friends with them, it goes to an 'other' folder and they have to accept it. So she may not have received that message, but to not respond to the text... lfig All those dogs! That's like heaven to me! I would love a 3rd dog, but H refuses. Says now we are not outnumbered. So fine, we stick with 2. I just love all the dogs! Even though I cuss them everynight when I'm trying to get comfortable and they're as close as humanly possible to me! guster I hope C feels better quickly!

Thanks everyone. I was pretty down about it last night. More for my kid, but life goes on. He’s resilient and pretty easy going when it comes to daycare so hopefully it won’t affect him too much.
