I also have an anterior placenta and didn’t feel movement as early - and also had a harder time early on finding the heartbeat on my Doppler.

My first labor wasn’t that long for a first labor, but each one has gotten shorter. DS2 was born on the floor of the hospital hallway for that reason

My first labor was an induction at almost 42 weeks. My second was so fast that DH missed the birth. My third Arrived less than 39 minutes after we arrived at the hospital. Luckily my MW knew how fast the second came so had the nurses have everything set up for delivery for when we arrived. The hospital is an hour from our house so I’m just hopeful I make it there this time.

Haha well I was hopeful because I was in labour with DS for 7500000 hours so I was willing to try anything to reduce that! But I think I’ll still try if not just to have a yummy snack (maybe make some energy balls or something). Plus the benefits you listed above I could always use help with more fiber ugh (and also don’t like bananas) so good to know, thanks! I can’t remember, is this your 2nd baby? If so statistically subsequent baby deliveries are faster than your first. My good friend had a super long labor with her first and pushed for 3 hours. Her second labor was around 3 hours and baby came out with one big push. My second was also faster than my first but I was induced the 2nd time and my water broke on it’s own the first time. my second was also significantly faster.

@magaroji DH missed DS2 as well. My labour with DS1 was incredibly long as it took me forever to dilate. After 34 hours I gave in and foot the epidural, took a nap, and 2 hours later it was finally time to push. Pushed for an hour, great. So when I kept stalling on DS2 as well we figured we were in for another super long haul again. So I got the epi at like 12 hours, DH left to go get some food (I was only 6cm when they checked me after placing it). Well shit got real, and fast. I pretty much immediately got the most intense pressure of life and told the nurse he was coming out. She wouldn't believe me. I cried to my mom and told her to call DH and tell him to come back. The nurse basically rolled her eyes at me thinking I was being dramatic. Nope. His head was half out. I basically had to hold him there while the doctors rushed in and then he was born in 1 push (once the shock wore off). DH was in the parking lot.

I have both an anterior AND posterior placenta this time, lol. Baby A is anterior, Baby B posterior. At this point I feel them both equally as much of course but unless movement is up really high (B) or really low (A), I can't truly be sure who I am feeling.

With DS1, DH had to meet me in the parking lot of the hospital, but luckily he made it. I drove myself 30 min to the hospital and delivered 45 min later. But at least I made it to a bed magaroni with DS2 in the hallway. It was 2:45 am so at least there was no one around. DH ran to the check in desk and a midwife and nurse came running and put down blankets and actually delivered him, so at least he didn’t pop out onto the dirty floor. An hour later after we got set up in a recovery room, DH went down to park the car, and realized we left the doors wide open as we ran into the hospital. The staff was really cool about it - they were like ‘don’t worry, we deliver babies out front by the fountain all the time.’ We had waited to leave home till we saw my parents’ headlights before heading to the hospital - this time around we will just leave immediately.

I was really ambitious this morning. I cleaned the room and converted the toddler bed back into a crib because DD2 doesn’t sleep in it anyways. Last night I went through my nb/0-3 box of clothes and that’s mostly what’s in the basket on top. I realize I still have 4.5 months left but when did that ever stop someone, lol. There’s still a lot of work I need to do in this room to get it ready but at least it’s a start.

Dang I need some of your motivation trtlcrzy! I keep waiting for that nesting urge to kick in, but I just keep looking at our spare/catch all room, which will be the nursery but needs organized, and then walking back out because it seems too overwhelming. I'll probably really get after it when I know what the sex of this babe is.

I'll probably really get after it when I know what the sex of this babe is. My motivation comes very infrequently, lol. I really need to pick up the basement, where the vast majority of our toys are so that the toys in that room can come down. It’s a huge undertaking so I’m avoiding it. I also desperately need to go through all the paperwork and junk on our kitchen island. Knowing the sex is what made me decide I needed to go through the clothes.

Weeks/Due Date - 22+5/June 13
The Good - nothing new really. Still feeling him a lot, got the name solidly picked so I’m happy we don’t have to think about that, feeling ok most of the time although I have noticed I’ve been a bit more tired.
The Bad - heartburn still but that’s about it.
Milestones/Appointments - next appt is feb 21
To Do List - still pretty much everything, lol
Share your favorite healthy snack - I’ve been really into apples lately. Other than that and other fruit most of my snacks have been things like cereal so not exactly healthy.

But I really hope all of these stories you guys have are true this go around for me (except for maybe sdlaura’s story I hope I make it out of the hallway lol).

Plus going through cute baby clothes is way more fun than sorting through paperwork 😉

I’m also expecting a fast delivery. My 2nd was 2.5 hours, so I have lots of stress about getting to the hospital and not having a car baby! My sister had a car baby and I don’t really want to make it a family thing. magaroni I can’t imagine being an hour from the hospital!!

My mom was overdue with all three of her kids, each one a little less so (I'm the oldest and was 2 weeks overdue) but either way, always over the due date. My son was 2 days overdue and a full day of active labor before he made his arrival, so I'm hopeful that with my mom's history and my own, it means I can keep these babies in until the scheduled c/s.

willow, When is your scheduled c-section date and when is your due date? Hopefully they want to hang out until the scheduled date! My due date is not until April 29 but they won’t let twins go past 38 weeks. So my scheduled c/s is 38+1 on April 16. Fingers crossed!
