Maybe it's lack of sleep but it's sure seemed like a quick 6 weeks. Dh is already back to work from paternity leave. Boo!

January lasted an entire year, it felt like. And now February is flying.
Is anyone doing anything fun for Valentine's Day? With/for your kiddos or SO? I've completely lost track of time and haven't done anything except buy Valentines for DS's class.

I've completely lost track of time and haven't done anything except buy Valentines for DS's class. we aren't valentine's people. We may go out but that's only because DD's TKD is doing a parents night out thing that night so DD will be occupied. I may just sit in a quiet house. lol. So romantic.

I think we're just going to get takeout sushi after the kids are in bed. I enjoy a quiet house also.

At their request I also got them each a heart shaped box of chocolates. We're going skiing this weekend so dinner is heart shaped pizza at the cabin.

Damn you're brave.

I hate going out to eat on actual Valentine’s Day, same for Mother’s Day brunch etc. It’s always so crowded and rushed. I normally cook a fancy meal at home on the actual day and then we’ll go out to dinner without kids before or after the holiday to celebrate. Ds did his cards for school but he has to decorate his box today.

My ILs will be here so we are going out to an oyster bar. I need to think of something nice to do for my ILs... at least leave them home with a nice bottle of wine and dessert or something.

I tend to enjoy the day after Valentine's day more than the actual day. Clearance candy! Plus Dh isn't really big on planning things. My bday is also this month so I might start dropping hints. We do plan on having a gym date as soon as baby turns 8 weeks so that counts right?

Do you all give gifts to the kiddos for Valentines Day? I've always done something small for SD. She's been into luxurious baths since I've known her, so this is often when I get her fancy bubble bath or a bath bomb. I might keep with the same theme for DS and get him some new bath crayons or something along those lines.

Do you all give gifts to the kiddos for Valentines Day? I do books. My parents always got me and my brother a little something - CD, coin purse, book. They wanted to emphasize that Valentine's day wasn't just for romantic relationships, but a time to remind everyone we love how appreciated they are. I love that view of it, because it takes away a lot of the pressure around the holiday when you're single!

Do you all give gifts to the kiddos for Valentines Day? Yes because I’m a sucker. I got them each a skirt and T-shirt because they are obsessed in wearing summer clothes year round, some little shopkins doll and stickers.

Okay I just got him a new Waldo book. Apparently my H bought him a red shirt at Target. Like this might be the first time he's ever shopped at Target on his own accord.

No but I think I’ll make N make our nanny a vday card bc she’s amazing and going to babysit on Friday night. We have no reservations and are hoping we can snag a bar seat at a few different restaurants. All else fails we will get chipotle. But a night off from bedtime? Yes please lol

Stuck in a confined space so we are forced to spend time with eachother and no distractions. They are some of our favourite dates.

So do I have to address the valentines to each of the kids in the class? Or can I just sign his name on them?

piratecat for my guy's class we just have to put his name on it. That way the teachers can just evenly divide up the cards.
