TTMA infant allergy testing- DD (5m next week) goes for food allergy testing on Monday. She got diagnosed yesterday with an egg white protein allergy on top of strawberries and milk protein allergies. We are now having to go for testing before introducing any new foods
The biggest concern is peanuts and nut allergies- the egg and milk proteins place her in a high risk category, so the pediatrician has gone from wanting us to do a challenge/tolerance type offering to an absolutely no until we get tested. My oldest eat peanut butter sandwiches constantly and I use tree nuts and butters when cooking, but she has never actually touched any of those. Will they still be able to test her before we offer it?
What kind of testing will they do on her? She’s so little, and I have a really hard time picturing them doing a skin test on her (I had it done as an adult) with her being so tiny.
