Morning. At the office. I’m just not okay today. People are talking about summer vacation. We weren’t supposed to go on vacation and I just can’t get myself to think about it. It’s a fwp I know.

I slept in because I was up late. I napped with MJ yesterday and couldn't fall asleep last night. J has preschool so we're going to grab donuts for breakfast at the bakery.

I have a head cold. It’s not keeping me from anything, but I would prefer to l breathe freely out of my left nostril and to stop the right nostril from running like a faucet. Super annoying.

This is the worst.  You would think with all our modern advances something could solve this issue, but here we are.  I hope you feel better soon!

I took tomorrow off work. H wants to go to the parade downtown. I do not, but I will go. The parade is at 11:30, we are leaving our house at 6:30 and riding with my brother and SIL. It's going to be insane. They're predicting over a million people to attend, 3" of snow and high of 24. I'd actually rather be at work.

Meanwhile I'm still dealing with the ear popping. Interestingly enough inthekitty, a local friend just added me to some giant facebook group that's I guess moms and fashion. Anyway, someone posted over the weekend about having the same symptoms that you and I have had and like 100 other people said they did too and apparently this is what's happening this winter to a lot of adults. So I guess we're not the only ones!

B really should not be napping. He only naps at school, and not every day. He goes to bed at 8:20, regardless. On days he doesn't nap he's asleep between 8:40 - 9 at the latest. Last night, however, he was up till 10:30. And he wasn't upset but just wanted someone sitting in his room with him.

And now he'll be tired today and will most likely nap at school, and the cycle will continue...

Morning! C and L at school and I'm watching the Bachelor. C was a beast to get out of bed and get ready and L cried and clung at drop off so Im happy to just have a little time with A!

Ds his favorite animal is an okapi. He wants to be a studbookkeeper for carnaval, mind you this is his second choice, because i couldn’t make him an okapi costume… I persuaded him into wearing his zookeeper costume from last year. So I’m spending my day searching for okapi pictures and info, so we can put together a little booklet he can add to his costume. It’s keeping my mind busy .

I'm sorry.  Does sudafed work for you?  I've been taking it for weeks now so it makes it easier to breathe.

Josie stayed up a little bit later on Sunday night, and it just messes with her to not get enough sleep. She was very emotional Monday morning — tears welling in her eyes when she said goodbye to me at that bus stop.
So last night she told us that she cried on the bus to school and one of the big kids – it could be anybody from 5th to 8th grade class came up and sat with her, and reassured her that “ your mom would be so happy that you’re at school learning new things and playing with your friends.”
Such sweeties!

I haven’t tried. I have the four hour decongestant here. Maybe I’ll try that.

Normal Tuesday here. DH took C to school for me and I’m volunteering in B’s classroom today, then hopefully getting by the post office afterward. DH has a flight this afternoon but should be home early enough to make kebabs for dinner; it’s nice out so we’re taking advantage of grilling weather.

Morning. S and I are going to the trampoline park in half an hour. She’s playing by herself so nicely right now that I don’t want to interrupt her so I may wait until the 10am session. I told her that we are going to pick up the basement this afternoon because it’s a disaster and full of foot-injuring landmines.
