I made a whole bunch of snacks for later (queso, crab dip, zucchini fries and pigs in a blanket) and decorated brownie cupcakes with the kids.
M is working on letters of recommendation that should have been done well over a month ago (I am not judging — okay a little I am 🤷🏻♀️).
As soon as he down I’m going for a manicure and a cup of coffee!

We canceled our plans to go to watch the Super Bowl at my sister’s. We all have a mild illness but my nephew is having hernia surgery Wednesday so he cannot get sick. T was supposed to go to a Chuck E Cheese party but with all the flu going around his class and the party hosts being vocal anti-vax, I canceled. I’m not usually a germ-a-Phobe but DD told me the 3rd grade was down to 4 kids by Friday and T had only 10 out of 17 back by Friday so we are all about self-quarantine today.

He is 2.5. It’s mostly M, but they feed off of each other’s energy and makes it more stressful than it should be. I don’t mind doing it with one of them, but together it can be a lot. Exactly C and L. Not just out, even home. The two of them together is just... Frustrating. Same. They are both so pleasant and sweet apart. But together.... not so much. |

L’s being a jerk to everyone and I called him out. From the look of his face I think I got through to him. Now I’m on my room trying to get better. These overnights are messing with my sleep

We had a slow morning, then my friend came over to see the boys before she headed back home. I made a Sams run, and I still need to go to the grocery store. I’m just trying to get ready for the work week.
MH mentioned us getting invited to Super Bowl parties this weekend and I told him to decide. I need to ask him about what he is thinking. I may just send him with M for the first half of the game if he really wants to go. I do not. Not up for socializing today. I start the new job tomorrow, so I really just want to chill out tonight in my own home since I’ve been away the last two nights.

Hey. I worked again this morning, still training. This weekend has been so freaking slow at work, total patients that we admitted over the 16 hours we worked this weekend was 4. I told our friend we aren’t going to their flu party. My sister also invited us over to her house but honestly I’m not really in the mood to leave my house for the rest of the day. DH and the girls will probably still go though. tgrimes and kim22 I hope you’re feeling better quickly. wedding I hope C is better soon. |

We bought a full size mattress for H’s room. For now it will just go in the floor until I find some furniture I like. The one I fell in love with is pottery barn teen and I don’t want to spend $1500. Maybe the finder of all the things aka klong11 can find me a similar one for cheaper. Anyway, he’s up way too much in the MOTN for me to continue sitting in the floor next to his bed. At least I can lay down, if need be. |

An instagram blogger I follow got a better homes and garden twin over full bed, that I really like. It’s a walmart product, but she said it’s solid wood and very sturdy. I’m skeptical but I have been looking at it.

Hi all, happy super bowl sunday! We dont have a vested interest this year but we got some snacks and are making pizza tonight for a fun family night. L passed his swim test today and movess on to level 2 next week. He's so proud of himself which makes the proud mom moment even sweeter. Definitely makes me feel better about swimming at summer camp! Woo hoo! |

None of our beds have headboards. Just the basic metal frame. It's been "on my list" forever because it makes such a huge difference! I just always seem to prioritize something else first.

I never in my life had more than a bed on a frame until 2 years ago when we bought a new bedroom set. My 2 older kids have headboards and drawers under their beds. T has just a bed on a frame for now but will probably get bunk beds with C when he’s old enough. |

Just cleaned out T’s backpack from Friday since I left right after work. There was a note from the nurse again. He allegedly cut his knee at recess. I see no cut so we just had the “if you catch the flu at the nurse when you are their for a fake injury, you are in big trouble” talk again.

We ended up taking C to urgent care. We checked wait times this morning and they were insane. We ended up going at about 2 and waited an hour and a half. But he does have flu B and got Tamiflu. I’m glad I went too because his bestie up the street is starting to get sick so it helps them to know. Hopefully the tamiflu cuts it down a bit. I called out of work for Monday and Tuesday already.
I have felt funny all day. Like just off. I’m hoping it’s just flu paranoia.
