My poor husband is sick, like really sick and not just man-colding it. I feel like such a jackass because I know he's miserable and wants to feel better so he can help out more, but I can't wait for him to get better so it's not all on me. After my 10 hr day yesterday I immediately came home and took the girls to math night at their school. They had a blast and I saw a ton of our neighbors. Cass was so cute running into one of her friends and hugged her and took her by the hand (she loves to mother everyone). Then we went to TKD. Finally got home around 8. Bathed the girls, walked the dog. Then wanted to collapse. MH brought laundry into the living room and I told him I would have folded it but I had nothing left in me.

H slept horribly last night because he was coughing so much. MH took him back to bed twice, he woke up crying for me at 1 and I stayed in there for 1.5 hrs trying to get him to go back to sleep. I heard him come in at 5 while i was in the shower and MH let him sleep in our bed. Poor kid.
I'm taking M to the doctor at 6:30 tonight because she's caught H's cold. She's complaining that her throat hurts again. I did see spots on her tonsils but I had some earlier this month that didn't turn into anything. No fever or anything.
Why are my kids always sick?

I have a new, operable, matching garage door!! (For anyone counting, that was garage door technician visit #6 in 5 months 🙄🤪). I feel like we are BFFs with the guy at this point.
B is headed off to school in a bit. I’ll have an hour or so of peace before I head to my eye-doctor appt, and then I have a hair appt this afternoon, where I fully intend to take them up on the complementary glass of wine. This has been a week!

Since we seem to have the same taste in wine, I found a new pinot gris I like. A to Z is the brand. Their pinot noir is pretty good, too.

The girls have a 1/2 day on Friday. I told them they might be able to come up and have lunch with me at work. They said something about me coming home with them afterward and I reminded them I have a regular workday and can't do that. Cassidy replies, "Call in sick." Madison chirps in, "Yeah, tell them you have to go to the bathroom." I told Maddie that'd be one super long trip to the bathroom.

tgrimes yes, we’ve gotten that one before, it was 👍🏻👍🏻. MH has been buying the wine lately, he tends to go for our same couple favorites. I need to go next time so I can try some of the others you’ve rec’ed

Morning. I’m feeling pretty good today, except that I think my pelvis got jacked up. The hip pain from last night is gone but it still feels really off. I’m debating on making a chiro appt for this afternoon to be adjusted or seeing if it just settles on it’s own. I have every intention of being lazy today until I have to go to work later. The insurance claim was submitted so I’m just waiting for the adjuster or whoever to call me. Poor kids tgrimes. I hope they’re feeling better soon so you can get some solid sleep.

Just watching the clock tick down. I have the day off tomorrow for my endoscopy and I have every intention of staying in bed until I need to shower and leave. If I get up, I'll eat, so in bed I'll stay.
Little Miss Tummy Troubles is still in full effect at our house. I told her yesterday that maybe her stomach hurts so much because she eats too much candy, so she actually didn't ask for any last night. She did eat the new cookies and cream twix though. Mh bought one that had 4 sticks, so we each got one and then she had the last one. This morning she told me she didn't know if she could make it through the day, but she would try. I sent her to school because there are really no symptoms other than her complaints. She isn't vomiting and she's pooping every day, though I'm not sure if it is a "normal" amount or not. I did tell her we would try the miralax tonight and see if that helped at all and she agreed.

Hi.
I was scheduled to work today, but was told yesterday I didn’t have to go in. I was glad, then before we left, I learned that my coworker had 1 kid at home with the flu and he started feeling weird right before we left. I was expecting a call to come in last night. It never came so I went about my normal morning until I got a call to come in just before 9. He came in with flu symptoms (WTF!) and they sent him home. I got ready and grabbed my can of Lysol on the way out. Do not want to bring that home. We wiped everything down with the hospital grade wipes, but I needed to feel like I did something about the airborne particles. FX we dodge the flu again.

I started to write something and then realized I have literally nothing happening today. I’m doing laundry and cleaning, and I’m still in sweats. I do plan on showering. That’s something.

Cadence took her 100 day collection in today. Is anyone surprised we used LOL shoes?!? hahah I was hoping to use the LOL bottles instead, but we could only find 95 of them last night. Cadence said we could look for more this weekend and she would ask her teacher for another ziplock baggie.

guster, the rut is real sometimes. The most exciting thing that happened to me this week was finishing the most recent seasons Good Girls and Sex Education. I highly recommend both. Rio is so damn yummy.

Still a little swollen and it’s hard for him to look at a screen so he’s been taking it pretty easy in the evenings but he’s been back to work since Wednesday bc you just cannot miss that many days in a row and not go back to total chaos.

Just work here. C is home... again... but has been fever free for the day I believe. Hoping it doesn't spike again this evening and he can go to school tomorrow. He's missed 4 days and really doesn't even seem sick!
