warnings: lc and loss
Has anyone here been diagnosed with having poor uterine lining due to hormonal issues? I am looking at all of the problems we have had and that seems to be the common factor. I have a short (11-12 day) luteal phase, and I have short periods where I bleed moderately for 3-4 days. With my first pregnancy, my progesterone was low and I had to supplement through the first trimester. With my most recent pregnancy it was low again, and again we supplemented, though I started a couple days later this time due to my OB not wanting to run the tests. I lost this pregnancy at 6w2d, and despite what the doctors and nurses told me, I did not have a lot of bleeding and cramping - it lasted just under a week, was never very heavy, and with only a small amount of cramping.
All of this leads me to believe that I don't have as much uterine lining as I should (hence, short light periods and even my miscarriage didn't result in that much blood/tissue loss) and that it could be related to progesterone levels. Does this make any sense? Anyone have any insight? We have our post-mc RE u/s and meeting this afternoon.

It's possible the lining insufficiency was due to lack of progesterone, but I would maybe blame estrogen in the follicular phase, too, since that is what creates the endometrial lining. If your FP is too short (like mine) or your estrogen level doesn't get high enough, it could not give you enough of a boost to properly build lining.
But without medicated ovulation induction, that's a hard problem to solve. They could add Estradiol and progesterone after you get a BFP. But that won't help build lining. It could just keep things status quo. I'd definitely advocate for immediate supplementation of progesterone next time. It seems like that's warranted given your history.
