That’s good. We had to do the first 3 at the hospital and have done them at home ever since. So much better at home! I was worried it would be weird having a stranger in my home for 6 hours each infusion but the nurse is amazing and I feel like we are friends now. Lol! In fact she started working for a new infusion company but told them she had to stay on with her old company for 1 patient...Sierra. So she works for her new company full time...and then kept just S with the old company. Lol.

Yeah, that’s so great you love your nurse. I’ve become fond of mine, too. I have had a few at this point and like them all. I’m still in phone contact with my former nurses. We eat junk, watch documentaries, and do sheet masks during my treatments. It’s amazing.

We had to dress up like a 100 year old in S PreSchool class but I got the notification like 2 days before hand so all I did was put a shirt on him that looked old man ish, some glasses, and a straw hat I had. It worked. Some kids were basically like S and some went all out with grey hair, wigs, canes, etc.

The class pics from that day are beyond adorable

I showed Cadence the different costumes and accessories at Party City and she basically gave me the kindergarten version of "oh hell no" and walked away.

Home with the girls today because I couldn't stomach the commute. N had an early lunch and nap, but I'm trapped under k napping and haven't had lunch. Thankfully it's slow and I've been relatively productive earlier.

I think we need to sleep train, last night was brutal. I am going to get the nursery set up this weekend and then I'm hoping we can get this over with. We are on the struggle bus.

Mom and I were supposed to go get our nails done and pedicures but she called me at 10 sobbing. She got the stomach virus that's going around and was hurting. I offered to come up and help her get food in her and she screamed "no! Your house cant get this!" Then called me 2 hours later. She passed out going to bed from the bathroom and fell. Hurt her elbow but got up to her bed just in time to throw up. All.over.her.bed. so I went up and helped her get in the tub. And cleaned her bed up. Got her settled back on clean sheets and started laundry. I need to go up and switch loads for her.

I changed clothes and scrubbed my hands and nails good when I got home so hopefully my house will be spared... my brothers family all got it, his mom and both his in laws. So safe to day it started with his kids. Luckily we haven't seen them since Saturday and none of us are showing any symptoms. I'm crossing everything it skips us....

I saw blow up canes on Amazon and I can only imagine the sword fights that would ensue. So we skipped that.

X has a sinus and eye infection so it’s ABX for us. The eye drops are going to be impossible. Woof.

I’m a Debbie downer today.

A furious one.

We discharged X from the county’s EI program back in September because he was no longer receiving services through them (they set us up with that nightmare ABA and awful ST). So, it made sense at the time that everything would just be handled through the district and private insurance.

Fast forward to now, when I have been spending at least a few hours every week calling everyone under the sun and trying to find a Floortime provider. Calling insurance to try to figure out how they will process it, calling various directories of therapists, etc. Finally located one who is close enough to agree to perform services at our home but guess what? They can only do it through the county. Private insurance is not required to cover anything other than ABA.

So now I have to go through the process of getting him back on service with the county. And why was this method of therapies never mentioned as an option by the county coordinator in the first place?

Ugh I'm sorry cagoldi, that's enough to want to bang your head against the wall. Sounds like someone definitely dropped the ball at the county-level.

It really just seems like they think ABA is the answer for everything spectrum related and everyone is hellbent on shoehorning kids into that method whether it’s appropriate for them or not. There doesn’t appear to be any effort to treat him as an individual.

I have a pain in the upper right side/back of my abdomen and I’m crossing everything this is just related to my bowels. DNW to go to the doctor tonight. Its kind of a burning pain so it’s not killing me or anything. I’m currently laying in bed.

H’s school is putting on a glow dance tonight so DH will take her after supper. I need to find something cute for her to wear that will glow.

I’m sorry cagoldi. I hate all of the backwards processing crap with insurance, school, etc.

My neighbor is very crafty and said she will help me with the 100 days thing. she thinks those mini skateboards NAM posted can be glued on a shirt and stick. She showed me some she did with her eldest in the past and they are awesome.

In other news I left her house at 5 and by 6 my glands have swelled up, my throat hurts and I feel feverish. My thermometer disagrees but I also don’t think my temp is 95.9 either so... I would really hate to be sick this weekend. Dh has taken on the brunt of weekend parenting lately due to some family drama I’ve been dealing with so I was hoping to give him a break.

I don’t think so, it’s right below my ribs in the back/side. And it’s more of a dull, burning pain. I’ve been laying on a heating pad and took Tylenol and it’s not as bad now.

Hi friends. I’m days behind, it’s been a stressful week. I was hoping to finish my class tonight but I drank too much and talked to my sister for 2 hours instead.

On the plus side, DD and I are going away for a gymnastics meet next weekend, we booked Disney for next fall, and the location scout that used our house for that PSA in the fall wants to talk about another shoot that would be lots more money next month.
