I'm home with Evie today due to snow and ice. It probably isn't that bad and I could have made it, but I just felt like working from home. Now to actually get work done...
How is everyone?

morning! Up and at work early today. S has been giving MH such a hard time, I'm hopeful he got him off to school with minimal issues.

I'm sure the girls will be little darlings this morning with how late they stayed up.
I have a busy morning at work but hopefully the day should go by fast.

Ohhhhh and for better news, a little birdie told me that my BIL in giving my sister a fancy weekend away for her birthday and is going to propose to her 😱😱😱. Now I just need that keep my mouth shut for 4/5 months...

H woke up at 12:30 & I put him back to sleep. Then he came in my room again at 1:15. I stayed in there till 3 trying to get him to sleep. I gave up and asked MH for him to try. He stayed in there 5 min before coming back to bed, so of course H came back in our room a few minutes later. Mh took him back and was in his room for about 45 min.
We've been giving him melatonin since the last time he did this a couple weeks ago. WTF kid? Of course he got really snotty in the MOTN. I received a note yesterday that there was a confirmed case of the flu in his room. Great. I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before he has it.

Oh no tgrimes! I hope he's spared. Sorry for the rough night! nam2013 I think it's because you are always positive, you rarely complain, and when you do, it isn't the level of complaining like I complain, you're just a very pleasant person. So far my snow day has consisted of 2 cups of hot coffee, bacon and eggs and answering a few emails. I should actually do the work I brought home as well. And maybe take a shower. And shovel the driveway.

Thank you for this. I feel like I’ve been such a Debby downer around here lately. For what it’s worth, I do not see you (or any one around here for that matter) as ‘complainers’.

They make extended release melatonin that has basically 2 layers to it. So the top layer gives of the initial release, then the inside layer releases later. It’s supposed to help with that middle of the night waking. That’s what we use with S. But if they chew it, it is all released right away. So no motn benefit. They aren’t very big. But I know that’s a hard concept for littles, to just swallow it. The only reason S can is because she isn’t a good chewer anyway. She swallows a lot of food without chewing so I have to cut it up well for her. But in the case of the pills...it has helped!

Cadence was up at 12 again. Said the cat woke her up and Dad was saying mean things to her. What kinds of things? "be quiet". Very helpful dad! So to my bed she came, even though I reminded her no tablet today if she sleeps with me. Apparently the kitten woke her up. He has been doing well with his visits with the other cats, so I set him free this morning and he'll be hanging out with them all day and night now. Lets hope he remembers where the litterbox closet is.

tgrimes, fingers crossed your house is spared. There have been a ton of cases around here and a bunch of ancillary people to my kids have had it (like a friend's sibling but not the friend directly).

Morning! My back and tailbone are killing me today. My butt is bruised! 😂. But I’m trying to power through to get some things done around the house since I’ve been such a lazy bum all week. S has another snow day...that’s 3 this week!
Are any of your kids supposed to do anything for the 100th day of school? S (aka me) has to make a shirt with 100 of something on it🤨. I’m not crafty. So I ordered some stick on jewels and will do something with that. She’s also supposed to take 100 of something to share with the class. It was looking like it would fall on her infusion day...so I thought I was going to get out of it. But then when they canceled school today too it pushed it to the day after her infusion. Dang. Lol.

lfig like a food to share or just like show and tell? I think our 100th day is next month, or maybe March. They just had their 80th day.

Not show and tell...but something to hand out (give) to classmates. So I’m assuming like 100 pieces of candy...or 100 erasers...🤷♀️. I was talking to my sister last night and they just had their 100th day (she’s a 2nd grade teacher and had 4 kiddos in elementary). One of her kids had to do a shirt. She had her class bring in 100 of something. Just as she was about to give me details...a war amongst her 4 heathens broke out and she had to hang up. So hopefully I will talk to her again tonight and get some ideas.

lfig Evie's 100 day is Monday. She is supposed to take a sandwich baggie with 100 things in it, I think it's more of a task to make them count out 100 things. She's planning on taking 100 Shopkins. Kid will be pissed if she has to give them to classmates.

We have to do a 100th day shirt. C wants 100 skateboards on it but I havent found stickers that dont cost at least $15 to ship. I can't sew and Im not taking the wheels off of 100 mini skateboards to glue them on. I hate this stuff.

Hope your butt and back feel better!
