kim22 I’ve done one. It’s not as bad as you would think. Once you get over the initial shock. Just get completely wet. The people who refused to get their head wet felt colder. Also have someone ready with a towel and jacket and socks/shoes when you get out. That was the worst for me.

Wooaaahhhh, SIL called MH today and told him that after his mom was over their dogs food smelled weird. MIL does not like animals and HATES SIL's dog. SIL replaced the food and set up a camera. She got MIL mixing something from a plastic bag she brought from home into the dogs food and trying to feed it to the dog.
Also, when MH was in college he came home drunk and his mom got pissed and dumped Listerine in the big fish tank he had, killing all the fish.
Is MIL trying to kill the dog??? And is she trying to kill ours!? They don't like our dog but tolerate him more cause he's old and tired.

Polar plunges I have seen, from the ocean, are people walking into the surf, as far as they can go. If you do a polar plunge at a lake, you usually jump in and get out immediately. I have never done one, this is just what I have seen. And whoa wineallthetime, what a crazy bitch. I would kick someone out of my house so damn fast if I caught them doing that. My dogs are my furry kids.

In a casual way to see if she denies even doing it. WTF!

That is CRAZY wineallthetime. I know she has been...difficult about certain things in the past, but this is so far over the line, I don’t even know what to say. Glad your SIL figured it out.

wineallthetime OMG. That’s crazy. Did the stuff in the bag look like food? Just wondering if she just brought leftovers they weren’t going to eat for the dogs, or was is something else? I really hope she isn’t trying to kill pets. Yikes.

It will shock no one that there is no way in hell I’d ever participate in a polar plunge.

mwhip is it his lower back? Is he sure it isn't kidney stones? It is his lower back, right above his sciatic. He swears it's his back, he feels a little better today and said hes going to go to the chiro again tomorrow. If that doesnt help, I'll mention stones to him. But since the he has felt better after the chiro, hes pretty sure that's what it is.

After you gave me this advice when my ankle was acting up, DH had to literally insert my foot into the bucket for me...I could not bring myself to do it 😂

We were coming home from soccer and the kids were chatting about how beautiful the snow is and were listing all their favourite things to do like sledding and making snow forts etc.
Awwww my little Canadian winter babies...

I have SIL's kids while they go talk to in-laws. I'm just still like...wtf. I feel like we need to find alternate child care too. It just makes me sick.

We decided since the weather is so nice here to hit our favorite spot on the water for dinner. We're going early since I think other people will probably have this idea, too ;P Cherry limeade crush and oysters, here I come. vino Too cute about your snow-babies, mine are the opposite. They dragged all our beach chairs out into the driveway today and were 'sunning' themselves, lol. The FL is strong in those 2.

I had running group this morning and DH found Chase covered in his own poop. Such a mess! He still smelled when I got home so he got a second bath from me. I felt so bad for DH that I took care of it myself when he did the same damn thing at nap. Except I put him in the shower because he's terrified of the shower. Probably a bit mean but I was with him, cleaning everything off him the whole time.
DH was incandescent with rage (royals reference) but I stayed pretty calm. I just don't know what to do - Chase still has kids in his class that are in pull-ups during the day, which I don't think is helping. By this age, Col was the youngest in his class and trying his best to keep up.
Sigh... Now I am extra nervous about leaving them for the week.

joelies Poor kid. I’m sorry. We’re in the throes of PTing M2 and were also cleaning up a poopy kid this week. I let him go diaper free at the wrong time.

We ditched the movie idea. M wanted to go to the children’s museum instead. MH took them. I was a little hesitant about it because it is prime time flu season. FX they don’t bring home any illnesses. I may bathe them as soon as they get home.

Everyone (minus me) feels a little off and just wanted rice for dinner so Greek is on hold for til tomorrow (I hope!) The kids are building an obstacle course if books and watching The Inbestigators. I’m reading blogs trying to find a product to take care of my ever-deepening 11s.

joelies, I feel your pain. Charlie was having an awful time at drop off from mid October to Thanksgiving, then it literally just stopped after we cane back from t-day break. He replaced it with this tremendously fun mix of withholding, pooping in his pants, and refusing to go on the potty for poop. No changes in our lifestyle or his emotional well/m-being and he wasn’t scared of peeing in the potty. This lasted from right after thanksgiving til January 1 and then it literally stopped one afternoon. The phases with this kid are strong! I hope Chase is the same.
