Packing up to go home today but the weather the rest of the week is going to be amazing. If I only had one kid I'd tell the inlaws to leave me here until the weekend since we're coming back then anyway. FWP I know.
I hope all the babies (and puppies!) did well with the fireworks.

Update: well now there's some scattered storms for Thursday but whatever. I'd still stay. Storms coming across the bay are amazing to watch.

Lakes, is it because you won't have a car? I'm totally with you and would stay too!

I'm so happy the fourth is over but I have a feeling that the fireworks will continue through the week. My dog refused to go out last night because of the fireworks so this morning I woke up to a giant pile of poop and a big pee spot on the carpet. Not great. Mh worked last night and is off tonight and then works for the next 7 days so I might try to sneak out by myself at some point.

Lakes, is it because you won't have a car? I'm totally with you and would stay too! Mostly because I couldn't handle two littles at the beach by myself. Dd is a blob who needs to stay in the shade and Ds is a daredevil waterbug. I'd want to be at the beach with this nice weather and could totally swing it with either one of the kids but not both.

Oh yeah I totally get that! When we were at the "vacation house" I only got dd in the pool once because I felt like I couldn't do them both at the same time and nap time didn't line up to make it work more than once. I couldn't do the beach with both for sure!

meeggaannw, your poor pup, our dog did better than I thought but fireworks are illegal in our town so it wasn't super loud. She still spent all night trying to find a tiny place to hide her giant German Shepherd body. We are all still hanging out at home and we had to cancel our 4th of July party yesterday because everyone but me is sick. Hopefully they bounce back soon so maybe we can enjoy the rest of the week.

Back to reality today. Womp womp. I'm missing the kiddos but after 5 days of nonstop activity, work isn't totally terrible.
M is now army crawling when I put her down and she sees a toy nearby. WTAF little baby. Slow your roll!

carrots 😳😳 crawling?! Not ready for mobile baby at all! We had a quiet 4th. Went to inlaws to BBQ but it was just us and their pool isn't quite ready yet so it was just food and come home. Work is still super frustrating because it continues to rain every weekend. We are officially at half rainouts. It's not conducive to paying bills and stressing me out. In baby progress, she is now sitting unassisted, not even tripoding. She also decided that 330am was a great time to wake up and start talking for 3 hours last night 😒 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

pibblemom I was just chuckling at your pictures of C sitting! M isn't sitting nearly that well. So funny to see how they each develop their skills differently.

carrots, she HATES tummy time. I don't think she will crawl at all honestly and think she'll go from scooting to walking quickly. She tries to pull herself up to standing now, and can do it using my hands for stability. But if I lay her down, she stays put, won't even roll. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It feels like Monday but it's Wednesday. E is cutting her .2nd tooth H was up with her last night for a bit. I think E is slowly beginning to army crawl she likes tummy time much more now that she can control when she rolls to her back.

I'm here!
So, our emergency trip to MT didn't happen because my grandma got well enough to go home. She has gall bladder surgery scheduled for later this month. So it was a nice, relaxing weekend with the other grandparents of mine. We went on long walks, played cards, put a few rounds through the guns, and generally had a quiet weekend. I feel 100% better attitude wise. Maybe my period will show up finally!

Had to share with you guys. I've been a bad boardfriend lately so I don't know if they've come up in conversation. I found these Baby Merlin Magic Sleep Suits on Amazon a while ago and finally ordered it. I'm calling it a winner already. Here is my crank pot when I first put it on. She's been fussy all day because she's tired. After 5 mins of nursing, opening her eyes as I moved from bed to bassinet, and she still went back to sleep. My kid does not sleep unswaddled on her back. The only time she will is in the swing, rnp or car seat. I'm calling this a winner. I'll update with how long she sleeps, right after my nap 😁

pibblemom, thanks for posting that, I was wondering how those things work for people. Do they get pretty warm in there or is it more breathable than it looks?

R can sit up really well and army crawl but I don't think she'll ever actually crawl. She seems to want to stand so Im assuming we might have another 8 month walker on our hands, god save us.

Ah crap. Leap 5 starts tomorrow. Guess that explains a lot huh pibblemom? Dd has been a crank and from 4am on her sleep is minimal. Your baby: • Cries more often or longer • Asks for more attention • Sleeps less, sleeps worse, and eats less • Has mood swings • Is not pleased with many things 😭

Lakes, it's supposed to start in about 4 days for us, but she's been ahead by at least a week for all leaps I think, so a leap would explain a lot. Update on magic sleeper, she slept 45 mins first, then another 20 with me on my bed. Not bad for a baby who refused to sleep all morning. She's struggling right now to fall asleep, but I screwed up her night with softball and late bedtime, so I'm blaming me, not her for that. Here's hoping once she's out, she stays out AND we can be done with a swaddle 😳 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
