Morning. As per usual Dh on the last day of vacation Dh and I are discussing immigrating to Scandinavia, we want more space, more nature, less family guilt trips and judging on how we do things with our kids and different jobs. We also always come to the same conclusion that we cannot separate ds and my mom & that we love the school and it’s philosophy to much. Aside from being total chickens of course .

Last night Cass lost her first tooth. She was so brave. She insisted MH hold her hand while I pulled it out. I was really relieved it went when I pulled it. Tooth fairy gave her a $2 bill.

Morning. I'm at work and so tired. I had someone come watch the desk so I could walk over to the cafeteria for food and that helped wake me up some. Last night when I was going to bed I don't think I drank enough water while taking my pills and they always get stuck when I do that, which caused bad heartburn feelings. I took zantac, ate a piece of bread and drank some water but nothing helped. I started coughing and ended up throwing up, which is the worst and I hate it. It didn't completely take away my heartburn but it helped enough that I was finally able to fall asleep. I have big plans of a long nap when I get home from work.

Cadence is still asleep, either that or she's playing quietly in her room with the kitten. I was able to set up an appointment online with our vet, so he'll see them tomorrow afternoon for a second opinion on his paw.
I told Cadence we could go to the aquarium today, so we'll probably do that after lunch.
Oh and I've gotten some long texts from my mother who is convinced Cadence has adhd. Idk, I feel like she might, but that some of her behavior is just normal 6 year old.

trtlcrzy ugh sounds like a rough night, hope you can get a nap later. Enjoy the last day of your vacation nam2013! klong11 I wouldn’t worry about adhd at this point, most clinicians won’t diagnose it til kids are a bit older anyway. I think a lot of it is the age. (And personally I think ‘adhd’ is probably thrown around a bit too much—but that’s a UO for a different day 😜)

Morning!
Day 3 of planning to take down the tree. Srsly, it’s going to happen today. 😆 DH is taking B to see the new Star Wars today so at least I’ll have 2 out of my 3 ‘helpers’ out of the house.
One of B’s light sabers broke yesterday and I was not sad about it at all, but he seems to have gotten it working again. Yay.

Morning! Kids are playing and I’m giving the kitchen an extra deep clean.
We tried a new restaurant yesterday and they gave the kids small packages of wiki sticks. What a hit and totally kept them busy. I have never seen them before but now I’ve ordered a bunch of them off of amazon to keep in my car and bag for those “need something to do” moments

They are these little wax sticks that bend and twist alone or together. We had a version of these last night: These are the ones I ordered:

Afternoon, day is going quick. Mh is on a cleaning tear and is angry at the world, so I took the kids to J's first bike lesson, which went well from what I could see. We are scheduled for the next two weeks, so hopefully he will be competent by then.
I'm working on taking down Christmas too, I am finally ready. The new Christmas village from my MIL seems like a lot of work to put away though, and takes up room to store🙄. Yesterday I braved Costco solo with the big kids but otherwise hung around.

Afternoon, all!
My family seems annoyed at me that I tried to get everyone up at 7am this morning since we’re back to normal routine in the morning.
Cleaned the house and random bathroom drawers this mornings while MH took the kids out to a playplace. All items on my clean house to do list is and my house is sparkling.
We’ve had lunch and we’ll be staying at home watching the World Juniors hockey gold medal game, Canada and Russia, until its done. Now sure what is on the agenda later.

Hi! guster M loves wiki Stix, too. We first got them at a restaurant this spring. We are in the throes of the LEGO city police station I got M. He has been begging to build it and Mh started It with him Friday. He loves it, but needs guidance. He can build what it says, but he tends to put some stuff the wrong direction, so we have to be there to help. Yesterday was busy and I had work this morning. I’m now finishing laundry and need to finish purging the boys’ closets.

flamingo I had the best of intentions about getting the indoor decorations down today as well...they are not. Maybe after dinner. And I'm sure you're all dying to know...my period finally started, 16 days late. Is this my new normal?

I have mixed feelings about tomorrow. The kids really needs to go back to school and get back into routine but I'm also saying goodbye to my day drinking and not needing to make lunches and peanut free snacks.

Good news mwhip ! Well, Christmas has been cleared out of the Flamingo house, and I even managed to condense everything into 1 less tote. I got a couple of those ornament boxes so I was able to throw away all the plastic/cardboard boxes that ornaments usually come in. I pitched some old stuff, lights are neatly stored, and everything is labeled. (This is for my own selfish benefit, since I'll be doing all the decorating solo next year). We are watching Pitch Perfect (aka DH's secret favorite movie ) until Shark Tank comes on at 9. A girl I was in Jr. League with in ATL is going on tonight, she and her mom started a business a couple years ago and made it onto the show. I'm excited and strangely nervous for her!

Hi! I don't think I have checked in today. Just a normal Sunday of groceries, laundry and football. I had a decent run this afternoon - slow but it was the lowest I've kept my HR so far - and temporarily forgot it's January.
The Vikings won today and Colin's reaction was amazing & lots of jumping and shrieking. I don't see them making it through the 49ers, but I didn't see them beating the Saints either, so who knows?
Not ready for a real week of work, plus next weekend is somewhat truncated by traveling to Calgary. I need more holidays, apparently.

I’m soooo ready for S to go back to school tomorrow! I was ready to sell her today. Probably would have gave her away even. Lol, just kidding. But seriously...girlfriend was on her 4th set of clothing by 10am. It went about like this..
6:45am - went to change her diaper. Didn’t realize she had pooped. Took her pajama pants off, turned to grab new diaper, turn back around and she’s “helping” me by pulling poopy diaper off. So there was 💩 smeared down both legs. So into the bath we went. Then Get dressed for the day.
7:34am - MH gets out of shower, goes into closet to get ready for work. I’m in kitchen cooking breakfast. Twinkle toes prances into the bathroom and climbs in the shower and turns the faucet on. Fresh clothes now soaked. Off to get new dry clothes on.
9:27am - I’m in the laundry room folding clothes. She was in the playroom playing with barbies. Next thing I know I hear her by the back door saying “jump puddle” (referencing peppa pig jumping in muddy puddles). I zoom in there and she had dumped the dogs very full and very large water bowl. She was sitting in the middle of it all, soaked. So off to get new dry clothes...again. Then to clean up the floor.
Sometimes it’s exhausting having the forever toddler (who’s actually 6!).

I got a text at 8:50 from one of H’s classmate’s mom inviting her to a birthday party this Thursday at 6. Like wtf, do you not realize your kid’s bday is coming up? I need more than a 4 day notice. I don’t think it’ll work though because I work on Thursday.

Took me an hour to get the sick baby asleep. A was already asleep but M came out crying because he had a bad dream and now he was thirsty and lost his cup. I didn't want to move and risk waking MJ. We were on the couch. So I sent him in to A. Who sent him back out crying because he wouldn't help him. So I laid MJ down who promptly started crying.... then A jumps up to help. LITTLE LATE NOW.
So I'm back on the couch trying to get MJ back to sleep.
