Good morning! I hope you're feeling ok this morning mwhip. Today is the oldest's last day of school and it's a half day. I'm going to hit the gym and get in a workout with my trainer and then we have a pool party with friends this afternoon. We also have a showing at 4 so we might take the kids to dinner somewhere. I HATE trying to sell this house. It's making me so anxious, it's so hard to keep it constantly ready for showings with all the kids around, and it's just stressing me out.

Good morning! My breakfast included a fun size Snickers this morning. We have errands to do this morning. V stayed up late pulling everything out of the refrigerator and putting it on the dining table. I'm tired. That kid is something. I saw the pic on fb and shook my head.

Morning! H is at preschool and S and I are hanging at home. I need to clean so I may do that while she plays. My friend just told me that her dad had esophageal cancer so that sucks. I'm going to watch her little boy tomorrow while she goes up to the hospital to find out the treatment plan. I think we may go to the zoo this afternoon. I have training again at the ER tonight.

tgrimes, A Google search has turned up short, so I thought I'd ask the expert. Do they make a two piece dance leotard? Not like a bikini, obviously, but one that resembles a leotard but is essentially cut in half. Just looking for a way to make using the potty at dance class a little easier.

Morning! Glad night 1 w/o the pacis was a success, nam2013. Hope tonight will be more of the same! xolastunicornxo I hope the house sells fast. Thankfully ours did, but the time it was on the market dragged and flew by simultaneously. So much to try and keep clean, we basically lived out of our cars and spent a ton of time at my parents' to keep out if the way. FX for you guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had Cadence's parent teacher conference this morning. We didn't get any news I didn't already know, but I was hoping she was just being difficult with me and that she actually knew some of the stuff I was concerned about. Not the case. Looks like little girl is going to need to take a cut in her youtube watching and get back into the workbooks.

No, they don't and it sucks. Especially if she gets all sweaty and you have to pull the tights & the leotard down & back up again.

tgrimes, i didnt want to detail the pics thread, but my mothers day went like this: woke up with the puppy at 6 (that's fine. she is my dog) went back to sleep around 7. kids woke up at 730 dh made breakfast, but only after asking me what i wanted (an egg white scramble.. literally just egg whites) and claimed he had no idea how to separate egg yolks, so i told him to just make scrambled. i open presents right after breakfast dh goes to our room and sleeps for 2 hours while i watch the kids and puppy. lol

klong11 What specifically were you concerned about if you don't mind sharing? I need to limit O on YouTube as well. He is a junky.

We had our parent teacher conference a few weeks ago, and it was all very basic things - they didn't get into anything like letters and numbers really. I ask b/c I think I've shared my concerns about my DC slacking a bit on the academia, so I'm curious what I might be missing!

Lol, I was worried about that csho . There is nothing I detest more than being cold and wet. Sounds like I have a good weekend in store. ☹️ kamakaziartist , it's going to be low 70s. I can totally handle that on a clear, sunny day. Not so much when it's cloudy and raining. You would never survive in the NW. That's dang near perfect beach weather here. Get a good rain coat and bring a kite.

Morning all, I've been on an organizing rampage this week. I'm wiped.
In other news, there is now officially a completely bare closet and dresser in my room ready for Sunny....eeeek!

Hi Ladies! Jumping back in and trying to keep up. You guys freaked me out with moving the board all around. Today is the last day of school (yay!) which means I might actually get some kind of schedule back and I'm hoping to pop in more often

klong11 What specifically were you concerned about if you don't mind sharing? I need to limit O on YouTube as well. He is a junky. It is mostly letter recognition. As in she has none. She will point out every C everywhere we go because that is "her" letter, but she refuses to hear about any other letter. I've tried flashcards, workbooks, pointing things out when reading, just focusing on the letters in her name. Nothing. She knew a couple of letters before, but now she just says, "idk, you tell me" or if I start talking about individual letters when we are reading she sighs really loud, rolls her eyes, and goes to do something else rather than listen to the story. So when the teacher evaluated the kids, she gives them a sheet with the letters in a different order than the alphabet, both capital and lowercase and sure enough, the only one she correctly identified was C. The teacher says she still has plenty of time to catch up, and that several of the kids are in the same place as her, but I can't help but think, no this kid is smart, not in a "my kid is so smart" kind of way, she really is smart, so I'm not sure what the retention issue is. She can also only count to 20, then once she hits 20 she throws out random numbers because she is "done". It is hard to tell what is attention issues and what is stuff she legit isn't grasping. ETA: in order to move up to pre-k in Nov. they want her able to count to 100, and have complete alphabet recognition, both upper and lower case, as well as writing her name and some basic words.

I said this the other day but O can't write at all. Like nothing. Also, when he gets to 29 he goes "twenty-ten" and argues with me when I say it's thirty.

klong11, she sounds like S. S is very smart, however, he is also STUBBORN as hell. So there are a lot of things I know he knows. But if he doesn't feel like talking about it, he'll forget it. Like for instance, he knows the letters. When he's the right mood, he'll tell me H is for Henry, etc (he seems to know the letters mostly based on people's names). But if he's not in the right mood, I'll point to an H and he'll just shake his head and say "I don't know". I truely think, like everything else, it's a toddler (preschooler?) control thing. So if she used to know them, my guess is she still does and is just being a PIA like S is. (Not to call C a PIA, but you know what I mean)

S can't write at all. We were just working on tracing with him last night, but he is no where close. And I can't believe your schools hold such a strong academic level to hit before they can move up! I mean they're not even 4 yet! ( snoopmommymom, klong11). Maybe I'm happy my school isn't too academic, that sounds stressful for them and for us!

We all know C is soo smart. Homegirl is just stubborn. We know she gets that from YH Does she recognize them for other people aside from her teacher and you? Like YH?

My D.C. has never had a conference with me. I just know what other kids are doing and he's not based off talking to their parents (my friends).

It wasn't until I saw SweetPotato 's kid's masterpiece of an elephant on FB that I even realized Evie maybe should know how to draw or write. All my kids are pretty much feral until they go to school.
