I got a Casper over the summer and it’s awesome. I don’t remember the last tome I have slept so well.

We tried the tulo from mattress firm in medium and now a stearns and Foster from Costco. I think I want the leesa hybrid, but I don't think I want to pay that much. There is a highly rated memory foam hybrid at Costco for cheap that is only sold there with good reviews, so may try that next. Mh likes firm and I am not sure what I like, but not sleeping in a rut.

In other news, DH's friends are going on a couples ski trip at the end of the month into early February. A couple had to drop out so they asked if we wanted to join. It's a week-long trip in CO - now I haven't skiied in almost 7 years and even then, I only skiied in VT, which is completely different. I could maybe survive 2-3 days, with rest days in between. But honestly between summer vacation and a potential trip or 2 to FL, I can't take 6 days off of work this early on. I felt badly because I know he feels like we don't do fun stuff together - and he doesn't get to spend much time with his friends - so I offered to go and just work from the room a few days while they ski, but he didn't seem into it. The same friend who brought up the trip, has plans to vacation in the same place as us this summer, so I think we'll try to align our schedules to at least overlap.

I bagged my run this morning because I couldn't get my HR down and got so frustrated. Fortunately I had MAT and the guy was very familiar with HR training and got me back in the right mindset. This whole thing is mentally draining!!

A couples ski trip sounds like fun. Sorry you couldn’t make it work. Also glad your dad feeling well enough to ride on his cart.

tallb The furniture store here did a decent sale on NY’s and I wanted to go buy the king I’ve been eyeing, but then I thought about having to spend all the money on a mattress and thought NOPE! Lol. One day.

It’s been a slow morning at work, but I worked with a tech that usually only works weekends and we chatted the whole morning. Super nice lady. She even has the scoop on a job posting soon that I’m definitely interested in. I’ve been having money anxiety lately and this would be perfect if I can get it. I gave her my info so hopefully that pans out in the coming months.

I just ate a Hot Pocket for the first time in forever and it wasn’t bad. Cheesy Jalapeño Chicken. I couldn’t resist when it caught my eye in the grocery store and it didn’t disappoint.

Almost time to head home. I need to do laundry and mop the floors before MH gets M2 home.

K this is super random, but does anyone have a rec for guitar intro/lessons on Youtube. As of Christmas morning I have a guitar that I am determined to learn as something new and fun this year, but I have exactly zero idea where to start.

Mattresses are a giant pain in the butt. We have had our King for a little over a year (or maybe it’s closer to 2 years, can’t remember) and DH is already complaining that it’s bothering his back. I think I need to get some sort of topper for it. My other issue is that in the middle where neither of us sleep regularly there is a hump. Ours is a pillow top that has memory foam in it.

cagoldi did you get the Casper box spring too? DH still wants to get the Casper for the beach. Our bedroom is on the 3rd floor and I think getting a box spring up there will be a PITA, the stairs turn every half flight. We have a box spring up there now but it’s cheap. Current mattress will probably be thrown off the balcony to get it out.

There was a wait at the restaurant, so we went outside and I sat on a brick ledge out front to wait, no big deal, I was comfortable and it wasn't going to be a long wait. He decided he wanted to go sit out in the yard, like in some random chairs. I said I was fine. He got pissed that I didn't follow him, even though I said I was fine where I was. He came back, cussed at me(luckily quiet enough so no one heard) and I said nope, let's go. So we're back at home. It's all, of course, my fault.
But, I got to come home to this so whatever dude.

kim22 I just kept our old box spring, for the exact same reasons you mentioned. My room is on the third story, it’s such a PITA to get it out I seriously think we would have had to dump it out this sliding glass door, then lower it over the balcony.

Unbelievable was incredible, tgrimes. Very heavy ... very. It’son Netflix. Younger (6 seasons with more to come) and You’re the Worst (all 5 seasons completed) are o Hulu and two of my favorite shows. There’s also a CW show called In the Dark that’s coming back in April. The first season is on Netflix.
