The plumber came. It’s a $690 fix and of course they’ll have to find the part in the morning. 🙄
So happy I showered this morning.

The repair on my car is taking longer than expected due to a part being shipped in, so they arranged for a loaner for me free of charge. We just picked it up and got home...brand new 2020 XC90, fully loaded. It is...not bad to drive. If they’re trying to sell me a new one, it’s kind of working 😏😆 DH is out in the driveway playing with it. In other news, B came home today and was named Student of the Month. Each month they target a different character trait and a ‘habit of mind’; this month was Kindness and Listening with Understanding. He was very nonchalant when he handed me the letter but once I started making a fuss I could tell he was pretty pumped NICE! Also, go B! You must be proud.

So glad things are looking up! joelies FX the treatment goes well and they see an improvement. I’m sure you all feel less heavy after a decent appointment.

Does anyone have a subscription to Stitch Fix? Is it worth it? My MIL and SIL do it and my MIL gets it for the kids. I’m cheap and always have to try everything on, so I wouldn’t do it. But they both like it. The kids stuff is pretty cute.

+1. The only one that I’ve tried that I would drink again is spindrift. ICE waters (and their knock off at Aldi) are ok and have more flavor than other similar ones. I'll look into them. Thus far the most palatable ones seem to be Bai.
Here in Austin everyone seems to love the Waterloo ones, but they are just too sharp.
Technically, I probably shouldn't have them at all and just go with regular water, but I'm trying to fool my body from missing the carbonated sodas.
I have never tried the waterloo kind, but I know of people who like them. The most common I see around here are the bubbly ones and I am not a fan. I get what you mean though, you need a slow wean.

I'm short and kind of between sizes so some things would be too long or too small or too big or a combo of the 3. I did get a couple shirts that I liked but overall it wasn't for me.

So I went to preschool registration before work. I got number 130 so I knew It'd be after 6 when I'd get called but I had my fingers crossed it would be before 6:10 so I could get to work on time. I was worried I wasn't going to make it so I ended up texting DH to come and wait for me so I could leave. I don't think he was there long and we got S into the class I wanted. Woohoo for 4 day morning preschool next fall! I was chatting with another mom while I waited and that was nice, it helped the time pass quickly.

Did they call your house number? People still have those?? Jk, we are considering activating the one on our cable someday do kids can call out if needed without having to use our phone.

This preschool is obnoxious with registration. They hand out numbers at 12, but there are people sitting at the church waiting in line at like 9am. Then you have to go back at 5 and wait until your number is called. It's a giant pain in the butt, I really wish they did this online. My inlaws still have a landline. I haven't given any thought to what we will do when the kids get to an age that they want to be calling their friends or stay home alone.

I am really enjoying this buy nothing Facebook group I joined, people really want my clutter! Someone is picking up my old curtains right now, a nursing pillow, and a tote bag. I picked a winner for my brother's old flannel sheets and duvet.. seriously 20 year old PBKids. Someone wants spicy honey that mh received and we tasted and don't want and reject shampoo. Feels great to pass this crap on that is cluttering up my house. And I don't have to take it anywhere!

If they would need to call 911 even a deactivated phone can (at least in the US). And I have FaceTime audio and video setup. So they can only call those I’ve approved of. That’s my current plan who knows what I actually will do when lo comes of age.

Ooh tallb , that's intriguing--maybe I should see what's in our area. We have a growing pile of crap from my last few days of purging. Part of me would love to sell some of it but as previously discussed, it's such a pain. I might take some of the better toys to a consignment shop and just donate/give away the rest. eta: klong11 and tallb, do y'all meet in public places or just offer porch-pick-up or something else?

I've done porch pickup and just stuck outside. The group seems to have guidelines like you are supposed to let it "simmer" for a few days so more people get a chance, and then you pick someone. So people are posting how they will use it or why they want it, and then post gratitude posts thanking people for stuff. It is really interesting to see.

I should get rid of my landline because only robots and scammers call it, however, 5 years ago when we were doing construction, I had to call 911 from my cell because my neighbors called that my fire alarms were going off. The call was accidentally routed through 3 other towns before it reached my local fire department. Luckily, the alarms were just dust in the system because of the floors being sanded but I now I don’t trust my cell for 911 calls (hopefully the system has upgraded since 5 years ago).

That buy nothing group sounds exactly right for me. I may have to look into it. Half the battle is finding a place for stuff I don’t want to throw away. Thanks for mentioning it tallb. I don’t FB much, so I’m not in tune with all the things You can do on FB.

That would be frustrating. Why didn’t your neighbors just call 911?

lahdeedah, be prepared for people trying to get rid of some strange things. I once saw someone trying to get rid of a broken pair of flip flops, they said they could probably be fixed, but they didn't have the time to do so.....just throw them away!

At least they aren’t charging for them?! That is what gets me...the ppl in resale groups selling tattered, beaten up stuff (usually shoes) with “lots of life left!” for practically full price.
