Sorry for all the sick kids!
I'm the sick one here, but got on meds this morning so should be on the up and up! I don't think L is feeling great. She's napping in my bed while I rest a bit.

Hope you’re able to get down there, @joelues. Sounds like it would be helpful if you can.

Word ramble ahead
H has been trying to boycott naps. I'm not sure whether I should just keep trying to get him to nap or let it be. When we went to the zoo the other day he napped but we were walking for 3 hours straight. Yesterday he wouldn't stay in his bed and kept coming out of his room saying "I wake up!" M & I went to run errands and he was asleep on MH when I got home. he was watching blippi on his lap and fell asleep. M was this age when she stopped napping at home. Since we converted his crib he hasn't been sleeping as great.
Almost every night he comes in my room between 12 & 2. I always take him back to his room and stay until he's asleep. Sometimes it's a couple minutes and sometimes its 30. So annoying. I need to find my login for the sleep sense program and see what it says to do once they're out of the crib.

I do miss the downtime, though.

So B tested negative for both RSV and Flu. They said it's probably just adenovirus. His eyes are so bloodshot, but no goop. It's weird to see them just stay so red.
Anyway, they said he's contagious until he's fever free. So looks like we are cancelling our new year's eve plans (we were supposed to go to S BFFs house 3 blocks away who have a 6 and 4 year old, with our other friends who have a 6 and 3 year old). We did it last year and everyone, adult and child, had a blast. We've all been looking forward to it all year. I'm sad.

She was pissed when he came out of his room because she wanted to play board games with me without his interference. lol.

S has not been pleased about losing that time either.

joelies I think it's a good idea for you to go with them. This. If somehow it doesn’t work out, maybe they can FaceTime you during the appt. so you can speak with the doc.

Hi!
Sorry and hope all the sick kids and parents feel better soon.
M is weirdly back to normal. He was hot to the touch over night, but when we woke up this morning, he was fever free and his energy was back.
We had lunch with my grandparents and they are supposed to come over for a short visit soon. I’m supposed to go to my grandmother’s house once my dad is off. I realized I never thought about getting something of hers after she passed, so I want to do that.
Other than that, just hanging around the house letting the kids play and visit. We drive back home tomorrow.

jewels I think DH or I missed almost every holiday event for almost 2 years straight when DD was little because she was always sick. I’m sorry your plans are ruined. joelies if you are able to go to the doctor, get your dad to sign consent that the doctors can talk to you about his condition going forward. When my grandma got sick, my dad was the contact and he never got the story straight. My sister got herself added to the contacts and it made things much easier for everyone having her communicate with the medical staff.

My Dad has an appointment for Thursday at 1pm, so DH and I are going to look at flights tonight after the kids go to bed. And Colin has an appointment at 5:30 this evening - he's barely eating and still warm and lethargic. Now I REALLY need to not be sick if I'm going to visit my parents. Yikes.

joelies I'm glad it's this week and he's not having to wait too much longer. I hope you can find a flight.

H is having her first sleepover with a friend tonight. I’m a little nervous about it but she’s just around the corner so if we need to go get her, it won’t be a big deal.

Colin does NOT have the flu and my brother is heading to FL this time around so I can stay here with the boys. We were a bit concerned over me possibly bringing down germs plus he was the one who first floated the idea of one of us heading down for the appointment. I got the impression he was hesitant to go himself for a number of reasons but today he's gungho. I think my Mom would get a bit more comfort out of me going but he'll be good too.

joelies, i’m glad your brother is able to go. It’s such an emotional time, it’s good to have another set of ears and a notebook to pass along to whoever goes to the appts.
