I’m getting ready for work. Sort of. I’m working both NYE and NYD. So I’m not really looking forward to this week.

MJ hasn't thrown up in a while (god bless zantac) but threw up last night from gagging on all the congestion she's got going on with this cold. Then this morning. But on the sheets and comforter and my pjs and covered herself. 🤦‍♀️ I literally just washed all my bed clothes 3 days ago. So I'll be doing more laundry today. I also need to meal plan and go to the grocery.

We arrived at our holiday bungalow, I love this place. We brought a lot of food and nice wines, I really really really need to get back on the bandwagon after this trip. I think I gained close to 4lbs in the last month, because I sought comfort in all.the.food & wine. Stupid hay fever is making me sneeze a bazillion times per day, soooo annoying.

It’s so gross and grey and rainy here so I am trying Instacart to avoid going out. I just placed an order for things to have an apps party tomorrow and a roast chicken on nyd.
I bought some chalk paint to take care of some random nightstands that need new life. I slathered a coat on one last night and I need to find interesting knobs for them at some point. It’s a project that feels like it’ll take off with a bang but lose steam eventually.

We’re at speech, so guess it’s back to reality. DH is working today but has T-Th off.

I need to make a grocery list and hopefully I can get some housework done. The purging process has officially begun 🙌🏻

In tv talk, I finished the second season of You two nights ago, and liked it even more than season one. And I started Virgin River last night. Love it, and I am totally invested in the Grey’s Anatomy bartender.

Morning. I'm working from home with Colin basically laying across me. He's still feeling under the weather, though he doesn't have any real symptoms other than a low level fever. I'm kind of wondering if I should take him to the doctors in case he has the flu or something. I mean, he doesn't so much as have a runny nose but I'd hate for us all to end up sick for New Year's.

After talking with my brother and DH last night, I may be flying out to FL to go to my Dad's oncologist appointment with them. They are just so doom and gloom, the end is near, etc. I want to hear what the actual doctor has to say, without any commentary from my Mom. Plus my Dad is basically living in his chair at this point - my Mom needs some support. Hopefully they'll get a few days' notice of their appointment so I can get down there in time.

In happier news, my treadmill is being assembled right now.

Morning. We are meeting a friend and her kids at their gym to go swimming in a little bit. It’ll be good to get out of the house and let the kids burn off their energy. I’m feeling the itch to start taking stuff off the tree and put things away so I might do that tonight after the girls are in bed.

I’m sorry for all the sick kiddos, I hope they’re feeling better quickly.

We’ve got a few things to accomplish this week but otherwise just taking it day by day and hanging out. I may go back to work Thurs-Fri, seems like a waste of vacation days to just be at home. Plus, I might take a couple days off when MH leaves to decompress and get some stuff done with him being gone.

I'm at work. I paid for M to do the winter program for elementary kids at H's daycare. One of our friends sent her kid so at least she'll know someone there. I hope she does okay because I'll probably do the same thing during spring break. and that's where she'll be for the summers, too.
