Morning girls. We went to a live show from a Dutch biologist with ds this morning (think Steve Irwin, but then with every animal imaginable). It was so fun, ds has been a fan for years now and was completely in awe. He walked by us twice and ds got to pet him on the shoulder. His face had a huge grin for hours, adorable.
The rest of the day was low key and all of us are now watching the stickman, so cute.

Hello! The kids were beasts this morning but MH just took them to his parents for the night! I promptly poured a screwdriver and am watch TV. I plan to nap (whaaaat!?) and then we will head to my parents house where we will open up all the adult Christmas gifts, drink too much wine, eat pizza and stay the night.

I’ve been up and trying to do my homework. I’m not liking the assignment so it’s taking me longer then it should. After the kids nap this afternoon we will be doing some grocery shopping and maybe a target run.

Morning! I went to running group while DH went to the gym and dropped the boys in Kids Care. My new watch has a heart rate monitor built in and it tells me that I'm dying, basically. I need to start researching and figuring out how to get back into shape because clearly what I've been doing is NOT working.
The boys are playing (and bickering) and DH has disappeared. I don't think we have anything planned aside from going out for dinner. One of the local places has live music on Saturdays and the boys are super into it.

Okay. My Dad's petscan is scheduled for Monday afternoon, so it seems like things may be moving along now. We assume that means they'll meet with the oncologist (they've already been assigned one) either late next week or early the following week. The holidays have certainly proven to be a terrible time to get a diagnosis and any real information. On a more personal note, DH and I had a good talk last night about how to balance our daily lives with supporting my parents and keeping myself sane. He doesn't really know what to do for me and I don't know what I need either, so we just need to keep the lines of communication open. |

At the salon getting my nails done. I'm way past due. But we've just been to busy. My mom is here holding mj. Then we are going to the grocery and we have Christmas with my cousins tonight.

Hi!
We were supposed to head back home today but decided to stay an extra day—FL weather much better. 😉
We’re out eating lunch at a seafood place that has an outdoor seating area with kids playground; we’ve been tooling around looking at neighborhoods but I think the kids are at their limit so we’ll probably head for home after this. My dad is doing ribs this afternoon and we’ll watch some football.

I spent 2 hours sandpapering H’s door and my bedroom door. The house has shifted some since they were installed this summer and they were sticking pretty badly. My arms are dead but at least the doors shut now.
M’s friend asked for her to come over so I dropped her off and MH got H to nap. Of course MH is napping 🙄 because he caught H’s cold. I’m like, yeah, we all did but we’re not acting like we’re dying from it.
Anyway, I’m going to finish my toy purge and shower. I’m secretly hoping we go to my in laws tonight so I can drink good wine. Mine is decent but not like theirs. Lol.

Hi hi - my in-laws are here and it's my SIL's birthday. It's lovely out, so we went to the playground earlier and heading out to an early dinner shortly and then back for cake. I hope it's festive enough, we did get her a gift.
Unrelated, I just used a magic eraser on the inside of my kitchen sink and it was so satisfying/alarming.

Finished meal planning, have not finished homework. I just really don't like this assignment. I want to do well but after I write part of it, I hate it. Plus work keeps distracting me. The problem from yesterday is still not resolved and we have a rookie working today. I wish the boss would have let me go in today. I'm letting everything distract me.

What do you mean it’s telling you that you’re dying basically? Not really dying, but my heart rate is way higher than it should be. On a normal run - which does feel somewhat hard, despite my slower pace, it's where it should be when racing. I've always liked to train hard, but I'm not seeing any gains. Clearly what I'm doing isn't working. |

Hi! I’m out alone at a restaurant. I really wanted stuffed shrimp and we always call it in, but they no longer take to go orders over the phone. I decided I had to have it and came in to eat, but it’s not really a place I should be eating alone. I’m at the bar but a bunch of men won’t stop coming around to stare at me. 🙄 why didn’t I get it to go?

Grocery shopping done. Kids are eating dinner and I’m ordering things from Target now for a drive up pickup tomorrow morning. I’m hoping to have a lazy day tomorrow.

They are not one of my favorites by far, but Mh worked with the head coach when he was at Tennessee and I’ve always wanted him to do well there, so I’m rooting for him. ETA: just read your thoughts about Coach O and yes! I met him when we were at the Chick Fil A bowl and he was real nice. I was just the girlfriend of a weight room assistant, but he was kind enough to make conversation with me. |

Morning. We’re on the road headed to my side of the family. When we get there we will be having lunch with my mom and brother’s family and later this afternoon we will go to eat with my grandparents. It’s very wet and rainy out so not doing much else today.
