1. Um, everything? Okay. Yesterday we were at a park that has a river through it. We went to an area where she could splash around a bit and she immediately picked up hands full of mud to flung around. Definitely my child! 2. My brother was in town this last week so she spent some time getting to know him. It was fun to watch. She's starting to acknowledge when she needs a new diaper and will run to her room for us to change it. I'm trying to teach her to spin and it's pretty adorable. 3. Eating very much depends on her mood. It's frustrating, but there are worse things. Oh, also, we think her canines are coming in. Last night was rough. QOTW: I love the big, professional fireworks shows. My favorite are the white/gold corkscrew ones that crackle. I don't like the super loud ones as much. Maybe a UO, but I really think that fireworks (besides the lame ones that only toddlers like) should be illegal without a special license or certification so we can stop filling up the ER's and starting fires every year. Playing in the water yesterday.

1. What hilarious thing(s) did your tot do this week? (Give us a laugh!) She's started sitting on her toys. Like, every toy she plays with, she'll put on the floor then take a few steps backwards, and sit on her toy. It's hilarious. 2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) She's been really into hugging lately. It's so sweet. 3. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) I've been dealing with a lot of chronic pain recently, thanks to the heat, and it makes taking care of R really difficult. She's a really hands on, cuddly, active kid and having her in my lap hurts to the point of tears. She still nurses about 8-10 times during the day, and as much as I don't want to wean her, she just squirms way too much and stands on me too much. I don't know what to do. 😥 4. Share a pic from the week, if you please!

1. G loves the sink and the water so much now that he'll finish eating and just point at the sink and say "wash wash wash". The other day I told him he was all clean and he just responded by pointing to his hands and saying "dirty. Wash."
2. I just love that he needs to say hi to every animal he comes across.
3. WHHHHYYYYY does my child hate putting on clothes all of a sudden? It's a fight to get him dressed.
QOTW: I don't mind fireworks the day before and the day of the fourth. But the people in my town will shoot them off from the end of June through the rest of the summer and it's super annoying.

1. She is super funny right now. The things she catches on to! My husband likes to throw her balls around and yell "strike." I threw one the other day and she yelled "strike!" to me. It was funny. 2. She has been soooo cuddly while sick. I'm sad she is sick but I have missed these cuddles so much now that we aren't nursing anymore. 3. We are on our 5th day of a fever. It's been a long week. She seems happier today though which is awesome!
QOTW: I love a good fireworks show from afar but think doing personal fireworks are way to dangerous.

LED hugs girl. I'm sorry for the pain. That's so tough. If you do decide to wean, you have done an amazing job!

1. G has decided it's funny to pull his shirt over his head and run around, knocking into things in the process. It is quite hilarious.
2. He had a neuro appointment this week for the way he holds his head/runs/walks/eye shifting. Good news is the doctor doesn't see anything dangerous coming into play, but he doesn't know what could be causing it. We just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worse.
3. The fits. Oh my gosh the fits. He tantrums at everything and I think part of it is his communication skills.
QOTW - I love fireworks! It's my favorite part of July 4th. Sadly, I haven't had an amazing experience. I've seen several decent shows, but nothing spectacular.

Hugs. dyork it's turned into a game over here with getting dressed. Not fun. westiemom 5 days of fever?! Glad she's acting better, hope the fever does away!

1. What hilarious thing(s) did your tot do this week? (Give us a laugh!) The twins have started to copy/compete with each other. For instance one stood up on a box-shaped toy, so the other twin (my bruiser) knocked her off she she could stand on it herself.
2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) K has started to give us kisses. The awkward part is that she comes at us tongue first. I'm not sure where she got that from because we certainly don't lick her when we kiss her. It's slobbery but super cute. And H is my little cuddle bug - she fights frantically to get into my lap and then settles in and sits there perfectly content.
3. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) K still won't sleep at night. Will she ever sleep through the night???
QOTW: Tell us about your feels on fireworks. What do you love? What do you hate? Any particularly amazing experiences?
I like all fireworks. My husband and I used to take our kayaks and watch the DC fireworks from the Potomac River. We had an amazing view and couldn't hear any other people, just fireworks.

1-She has whole conversations in baby jibberish and it cracks me up.
2- I just love that she's so much easier than my 4 year old was. She eats so much better and sleeps so much better. She's starting to stand a few seconds unassisted so hopefully walking will be coming soon.
3-I might have mentioned this before but I really struggle with the fact that she hates to snuggle. I know it's dumb. Luckily my 4 year old always wants to snuggle, lol.
QOTW: I like fireworks. I hate crowds and traffic though. We are really lucky at our house, we have a great view of the local fireworks from our backyard. So we grill out with the neighbors and watch every year. It's also nice because we can put the kids to bed and still watch. This year we let our 4 year old stay up to watch for the first time.

Ro is 17.5 months and is rarely snuggly. Even when we rock her before bed, she'll relax against us, but she'll be sticking a finger in our noses or digging a heel into our thighs or pulling hair. Last time I got decent snuggles was when she had a cold a couple months ago.

nelzie G hates to snuggle too!! My 4 year old also makes up for it, he's always been a cuddle bug. I'm going to cry when he stops.

mellyknu, can you add me? 1. Nathan 2. October 2015 (20 months) mellyknu, nelzie, and mnj05, I hear you on the snuggles. I only get snuggles when he isn't feeling well, which I feel horrible about but enjoy at the same time!

1. What hilarious thing(s) did your tot do this week? (Give us a laugh!) nelzie, Nathan too. I always try to add things to his conversations so he knows I'm paying attention, and the other day after a particularly long string of syllables from him I said something like "Oh, really?" and he promptly replied "Yea!"2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) This morning, after breakfast, I was getting Nathan out of his booster seat and I asked for a kiss. He gives the cutest kisses and says "Mwah!" and he gave me like 5. Made my day!3. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) Oh the mood swings. Giggling to melting on the floor wailing in 2.3 seconds.4. Share a pic from the week, if you please! Can't figure out how to do this here and I can't seem to get the app to work right now.QOTW: Tell us about your feels on fireworks. What do you love? What do you hate? Any particularly amazing experiences? Nathan couldn't make it up late enough for the fireworks we were planning for this year, so we were driving home around the time they were starting. We were up on this ridge overlooking our town and neighboring ones and, combined with all of the ones from people's houses, there were so many fireworks along the horizon. It was pretty cool!

1. What hilarious thing(s) did your tot do this week? (Give us a laugh!) She is really into the bathroom these days and is fascinated by poop/pee. When she poops or her diaper is soggy she grabs her diaper and begs me to make "poop (or "peep") all gone!" 😂 2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) She doesn't like the sun in her eyes and whenever it is she says "sun in eyes!" and then cuddles up and puts her head in my shoulder to hide her eyes. She's also big into boo boos and likes to kiss a "boo boo" on my face that is really a freckle. 3. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) Tantrums are totally a thing and she can definitely be a little drama queen!
