Merry Christmas my friends! We had a nice morning opening gifts. DD is currently mastering her new Hoverboard and DS and fighting something on his VR. T and C’s favorites are piece of junk sticky ducks that DD bought them at the school holiday junk sale. The Prime Rib is In the oven and I’m ready for some relaxing.

Morning and Merry Christmas, ladies! Cadence woke up at 7:30 beyond excited. Our living room is covered in every LOL imaginable. Mh is back in bed and we'll head to his sister's for lunch.

Colin came running into our room around 7:45 this morning, all excited. DH was awake but I'm somehow sick AGAIN so I was still sleeping. DH got the boys ready upstairs while I turned on the tree and made coffee. Then the madness began, haha. I've been sending lots of pictures to my parents, trying to help keep their spirits up.

The boys are having a ball with their new presents, though Colin did have a mini meltdown over something he didn't get. Chase keeps asking to open more presents but I think it's more about him finally being able to do it himself than wanting more stuff. I could certainly be wrong though!

Chase feels kind of warm so he'll get an early nap before we head to my BIL's house for more presents and dinner. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!

Good morning and Merry Christmas, friends! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with laughs, good food, and family.

M woke up pumped. He opened the first two gifts and shouted ‘I’m so lucky!’ 😆 Ha! M2 opened his first and was pretty much done because he wanted to play with that toy. Of course M couldn’t wait for him, so he opened up almost all of his brother’s until I told him to stop. The stockings were a hit and M2 gathered everyone’s candy and guarded it on the sofa. 😂

We’ll just be hanging around playing all day. MH’s grad asst shared his Disney account with us, so I decided to start the Star Wars movies. I’ve never seen any of them so I’m starting from the first movie.

Merry Christmas! I slept horribly last night and got a really low blood sugar around 3am that took a while to get up. C got us up at 7 and was so thrilled. He had all of his gifts opened in 15 mins and exclaimed “BEST SANTA EVER!!” so I think we did good. After breakfast and assembling toys I went back to bed. I was awoken again with low blood sugar so I don’t know what’s going on and why I’m getting these all of the sudden. Anyway I’m exhausted but rallying. We have dinner at my moms at 2 and I’m happy it’s just us, my gram, and brother so I can wear leggings and relax more.

Morning, friends, Merry Christmas!

B was up at 6 so we had to keep him back in the bedroom area til princess C finally roused 😂 The kids had a great morning and DH is about to take them to the playground to blow off some steam. My sister and nephew came over for breakfast, presents and mimosas this morning, and they’ll come back later for dinner with the rest of the family. Prime rib is on deck and I am excited.

Little rant here. I hate when people want to be confidential in the hospital. I always tell them that we will tell people they aren’t here unless they give us the patient name and room number. I just had to turn away some family members that wanted to see someone that delivered this morning because they don’t know the room number and couldn’t get ahold of either the patient or her husband. I’m pretty sure they drove a long way to get here too. It makes me feel bad.

On a more positive note a family walked around and gave all of the employees a candy cane with a note thanking us for working on Christmas, which was very nice. Also I get to leave in an hour.

Merry Christmas! We did not sleep well but then got downstairs around 8. I was a bit disappointed in J, he was a bit ungrateful and kept commenting that N had "bigger" toys than him. It's not my fault he asked for a pencil sharpener and an origami book...and got him a really nice bike. Next year I'm going to make sure we get the kids out to buy gifts for each other and parents so it's not just about receiving.

I'm enjoying the pictures of princess Charlotte on her first walk, her mood so reminds me of N.

My parents and brother are coming over in a few hours so need to get it together and shower up.

Happy Christmas dear friends from across the pond!

Today started out with family breakfast, just the four of us. Loads of cooking afterwards, mini quiches, meatball, cranberry sauce & sausage rolls. The kids got involved and we had fun.

We went to my SIL this afternoon for drinks and nibbles and are currently vegging out in the couch whilst watching love actually, I mean it is Christmas right?!

Christmas morning went well here. J got impatient while dh put together an air hockey table. Which I "told you so" to him. I told him to put it together last night. My parents came down fir breakfast and we watched a Christmas movie. Then MJ and I napped.

Every year A's whole extended family has Christmas on Christmas day at his aunt's at 3. His aunt has an old farm house full of antiques that no body can touch.... great place to have Christmas for 40 people- some of which are under age 10.
So anyway, every year his aunt gets snippy about the kids and A gets snippy back and he tells me "this is it, we're not coming next year!" Which, fine by me. Then every damn year he changes his mind. Rinse and repeat. He always tries to get me to say I don't want to go. But hell no to that. Then I'm the bitchy in law that ruined Christmas. So we go. They fight. And we leave. 🤦‍♀️

I just want to say how much this place has meant to me this year. I’ve never been super active in the past and 2019 came at me hard and fast. I felt very unsupported by so many in my ‘real life’ and all of you were there for me in a way I didn’t even know I needed. I appreciate you all being here for advice, commiseration, laughs, or just an outlet when I needed it and especially those of you who checked in on me when I was really struggling.

As for me, christmas was a success. Last nights we hosted 3 old day care families and had a ‘christma-Kah celebration. It was fun and the kids has a blast

This morning we relaxed then all went to see Frozen 2 (the boys and I loved it!!). We came back here and the boys played with new toys while I made the desserts I was bringing, and then we opened presents for this night if hannukah before heading over to my bffs for Christmas dinner. It was a small group and just a perfect end to the day. The boys got some good presents and are now tucked away in bed.

Tomorrow I have to work then we head to MD for the weekend!

We had fun at my sisters. My mom gave literally everyone in my family Rubix cubes. I have no idea why but I am now the proud owner of multiple. I spent most of the last 4 hours (with a few breaks) trying to figure it out and I finally got it solved. I told DH I’m gluing it together so it can never be messed up again.

I was super determined to figure it out, that’s the only reason I got it done. I’ve never really tried to/ cared to do it before but my cousin was challenging me.

Work was so slow, I basically read a book the whole time. MH cleaned the whole house, unpacked gifts, got recycling out. The best! Oh, and it was 60 out today so we got to go for a nice walk.
