I am baking cookies when I get home from work. Other than that, just stuffing stockings tomorrow night.
C has a bad cough again just like a few weeks ago. I bought that zarbees honey cough syrup since he's old enough for it now. I hope it helps.

I don’t have much to do, mostly gift cards. I worked today and I work tomorrow. I’m finally catching up on some things at work so it will be nice to have a fresh start in the new year.
I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas!

I'm pretty organized. I have some cleaning to do tomorrow. Mainly the kitchen and hardwood floors. Then H and I will do some food prep to get ready for Christmas day. My list looks long, but nothing should take a long time

Helped my sister finish some wrapping last night. Going to see the new Star Wars movie today with my cousins, BIL, and DH. Then just taking it easy.

How was everyone's Christmas? Ours went pretty well. Haley stayed up until almost 10 and then slept until 9:15 this morning. My BIL was a real asshole. It totally ruins it for us. We love hoting, but he is so unappreciative . BUt that is his usual behavior. No one helped H and I clean up the food or dishes. I normally don't mind, but then comments by BIL were being made about it not being quick enough, wanting to open gifts, have dessert, etc.
Today is a lazy day until we go to my Aunt's house tonight.

We’ve had a great Christmas! Visiting my side of the family in South Carolina. L and I came down a few days early for my sister’s birthday and are staying until NYE. H came down Monday and went home today. L had a great time opening gifts and playing with new things. He got a good mix of toys, books, and a few clothes. He definitely had the most under the tree (only grandchild on both sides).

Christmas Day seemed chaotic just because of the normal craziness. We had a nice breakfast with some cousins. I think we got some of the mess cleaned up. We have been moving rooms for the girls so they can have their own bedroom and so that is contributing to the mess.
The baby has a sinus infection and both DH and my 5 year old have the flu. Fun time!

Christmas was good. C had terrible congestion that day and even had a low grade fever by the time we got home that night. Luckily he woke up yesterday happy and fever free. He got mostly books so I'm happy about that. Those don't take up much room 😂

Christmas was lovely, lots of food and friends and sleeping in, but we had an awful travel day yesterday - 7 hour drive turned in to 11.5 with traffic. My kids were troopers, and I think DS may have eaten his weight in tangerines.
Back at work today, trying to get everyone's schedule and eating back to normal.

Its been kind of crazy with having the inlaws here, Zach being sick, and hosting all of DHs family. Zach still isn't sleeping well, but his mood is much better. James has just been bouncing off the walls with all of the excitement. The inlaws were kind of overwhelmed with how much energy the boys have and how loud they are. DH and I did get out for dinner last night, which was nice.

Christmas was really nice. We hosted Christmas Eve and then went to ILs on Christmas Day. The kids got so much stuff so I’m in the middle of going through their old stuff to purge. I’m hoping to donate a good amount.

How good are your little ones with utensils?

How good are your little ones with utensils? TBH, we haven't started them yet 😬. I did get him a toddler size fork and spoon set in his stocking though.

How good are your little ones with utensils? She does okay with a fork. She tries a few, then gets irritated and eats with her hands

How good are your little ones with utensils? She holds the utensil in one hand and picks up the food with her other. 😂 If I load the spoon or fork, she'll use it fine and occasionally has been trying to stab food with a fork.

They're not using them yet at DC, to my knowledge. I know I need to get him comfortable with them though. He will be moving to a new classroom in February and I think utensils and also getting used to open cup drinking will be a thing there.

This is our experience, too. But at DC she says they self-feed soup with a spoon, so she must really like cleaning her floors!

Yeah, I haven't given her the spoon to hold, but she will eat off of a preloaded fork. Then last night, she stabbed her own chicken and ate it a few times so that's progress. But my BIL (who gets in my damn nerves anyway) made the comment about her eating dinner with her fingers. So I was curious...

They've had soup at DC before though so he might have used a spoon then? I can't imagine them being able to spoon feed all the kids in there between the two of them.

How good are your little ones with utensils? DD has decided she really likes eating with utensils so she’s gotten a lot better. She has trouble spearing with a fork but she’s gotten pretty good with a spoon.
