Good morning. I’ve had a productive morning at work. I addressed all of my Christmas cards and will get them in the mail this morning. I haven’t done much actual work yet though.

Apparently my oldest sister attempted to commit suicide last night. They admitted her to the hospital and I haven’t heard any updates this morning yet. She did this once before when she was around 18. I hope they can help her and get her meds adjusted appropriately.

Morning ladies. We're in OR now. Glad it didn't pour the whole drive down. We have a bunch of movies we want to see during break--Star Wars, Knives Out, and the Jumanji sequel. My other vacation goal is to knit two hats for boys at TKD. Really setting the goals high.

Morning, we are getting ready to head to a garden center that has Santa and a train display. This afternoon I'm getting my headlight fixed and tire pressure checked and hopefully run some errands up there. It's nice having work closed. We had carolers come last night that was fun. I grew up going to church and miss parts of it, and it looked like a good group with young families, but then I go to the website and I just struggle to relate to any of it..
Our elementary school listserv started an urgent family in need go fund me for 30 families that are high need to help with Christmas. It has almost made the goal within a day. I'm happy to help a potential classmates family instead of buying another gift we don't need here...

trtlcrzy I’m so sorry, hope she gets the helps she needs. How are you doing yourself? I'm doing ok. I haven't personally talked to her but my other sister said she's trying to basically act like it didn't happen and go back to life as normal. I don't think that's super healthy. |

I'm under a sleeping babe. We're hosting my in laws for Christmas tonight. It's always a good time. I really love mil, bil and his fiance. I tolerate sil and fil... lol. I have a lot of cooking, baking and cleaning to do. Luckily I got all the presents wrapped last night for tonight.

I’m so sorry trtlcrzy. My brother attempted a few years ago and it was just horrible. I’m glad she’s getting help and hopefully she gets what she needs. I urge you to take car of yourself as best you can as well. It was very hard on me and I was totally entrenched in it and neglected myself in the process. You have my digits so please reach out if you need anything at all. Even if it’s just to vent because I’ve found there’s a lot of guilt and anger that comes along with this stuff and it’s ok. |

Yesterday was so much fun but I’m exhausted today. We had our lunch work party yesterday which basically last a few hours and then we head to the bar. It’s always a great time. Then I had my neighbors holiday party to go to which we didn’t get home until 10:30 and C was so wound up still. His cough also returned after running around with all of the kids. We’re going on a month now. I thought it was completely gone since Monday but it came back last night. I’m stumped.
I’m sitting at the auto mechanics while they look and hopefully patch a slow leak in my tire. I reminded the owner that our boys played tball together a couple of years ago and he bumped me in line so hopefully I’m not waiting too long. My stomach is making a ton of noise and people are looking at me 😐
My parents are taking C to a lunch at my aunts and dh and I are going to build that damn hot wheels garage. My neighbor has built one and is on call if help is needed. I hate this stuff but it’s the last thing that needs to be done.

Our magazine went to the printers yesterday 🥳! Soooo glad it’s done. One more day and then vacation time. Dh and I went out for dinner for the first time in months (I think the last time was in June). Right before we left he gave me the best present. The ring I bought in Boston at Rebekah Brooks has a matching necklace, which I mentioned months ago, well apparently he ordered it from the us straight away. He told me loved me and that he was so proud of me and that it wasn’t Christmas yet, so this does not count as a Christmas present  . |

I have not made any plans for this weekend. I have a few gift cards left to pick up, but that’s mostly it. Maybe I can finally go through the toys and purge. I should probably focus on potty training with M2 since he will be home a lot this week.

I got my Sephora play box yesterday and it had some Brazilian bum bum cream in it. In one of the Sephora threads, people were saying how good it smells. They were right.
I told Mh I didn’t want anything for Christmas, but I kinda want to tell him a Sephora GC now. I just think it may be silly to spend $40 on lotion. Maybe I can think about is as a perfume, since it’s the smell that I like. IDK. Decisions, decisions.

I looked into churches near the end of my pregnancy with Cass. We went for a while then I gave up on it (they were more of a "tolerant" than wholeheartedly accepting church). I wanted one more for community than religious purposes. Scott kept going for quit a while after I quit because he liked the community. He managed to he involved for several years with no one finding out he was an atheist. 😜
There's a UU church but it's a further drive than I care for and I'm just not that dedicated. 🤷♀️
