Tonight is our office holiday party which, for the first time maybe ever (?), I had nothing to do with organizing. Well I DID help pick which room we'd be in but that's it. After a few years of single-handedly arranging our summer outing, office Thanksgiving, and our holiday party, it's so nice to be off the hook entirely. Now I'm just excited to have a night out with DH.
Add me to the need to wrap but when (and where) club. The packages are coming in fast and furious and we have no place for them. The boys are in and out of our room and Col's getting too old to simply hope he doesn't notice that our closet is FULL of packages.
And I have no ideas for DH after buying his gifts from the boys. Jerk.

joelies I saw a personalised leather wallet in etsy that was nice. Also your H likes baseball right? Check out basebalism, the have nice shirts/caps etc. that isn’t run if the mill kind of MLB stuff.

Hi!
We had H’s holiday party last night and it was actually the best of the 3 we’ve been to with this command—the planning committee worked really hard and it showed. And thankfully the sitter showed up at 6:15 so we weren’t too terribly late.
DH has the day off, so he took B for a haircut this morning (C tagged along), bc I had a tennis lesson bright and early. Now it’s pouring and gross out so I am on the couch in leisurewear and not planning on doing much else today 🙌🏻

klong11 will your office not give the day before or following off in observance? 4th of July? No. Christmas we normally get the day before and the day after, but if the day after is a Saturday, then we'll just get the day before.

Just scored a smoke turkey from an attorney who received it as a gift from a client. All the attorneys got one and he is out of the office today, so he said I could have it. Now I know what's for dinner.
MH has his office party tonight, so it will just be me and Cadence. Looks like we'll be eating turkey sandwiches and watching Rudolph and Frosty classics.

River's birthday celebration was a success. He ate his "cake" (hot dogs with candles), opened his present (treats and a toy) and then promptly tried to run away. Probably just trying to cash in those birthday rewards at all the places then come back I'm sure.... 😬. Ok, he was looking for a new family. His grand scheme failed because we got him before he ran. Now he's back in this hell hole. Love you, Riv!

Hey! I have been busy all day. After I took S to school I went to target, hallmark and world market to finish up my Christmas shopping. After I got home I realized that I forgot teacher gifts so I guess I’m 90% done. I ordered H a personalized jewelry box this morning from Lenox and I’m crossing my fingers and toes it comes on time. That’s what I get for procrastinating though. That’s basically took me until I had to pick up S. I locked myself in my room while she was eating lunch to get the stuff wrapped. I got my SIL’s family’s gifts mailed so they will have it late next week. We had pizza for supper and will leave in 45 minutes to go to a birthday party, which will just be eating cake and watching the birthday boy open his gifts. tgrimes that nurse sounds like an idiot. Clearly she was given instruction and doesn’t know how to adapt to changes. I def wouldn’t change my schedule for that doctor. |

peachsmama Hahaha how fun! We’re ditching ‘zwarte’ piet though, he’s now just a Piet. Even though zwarte piet was a cool guy for most kids, it’s black face depiction was not appropriate at all 🙄.
